Yeah, it's like when Mon got kicked out. Her characters left, but we can still mention them around the IC as old friends and stuff.

I feel your pain. I've been trying to make my response video for some time, but keep catching myself mumbling, falling off subject, saying, "It's like, you know, like, um... it's like this, like, she like, you know, it's like this..." I've already deleted two versions. I'll probably have to write my responses out then read them to the camera.

Two options that work well for me (had to do a few podcasts in spring session last year):

Setup for both:
Download Audacity, then record yourself talking into the microphone using it. Whenever you do something you don't like, delete that bit and edit it all together, then start the recording a few seconds back so you have the flow of the conversation. When you're done, go back through to make sure you got all the snaggly bits, then move on to the Choice Bit:

Record a video of yourself lip-syncing the recording, or
Do a picture/video montage.
Thought and Memory each morning fly
Over the vast earth:
Thought, I fear, may fail to return,
But I fear more for Memory.

Something still bugs me about Mon's booting....but maybe I just remember it wrong. It had to do with why Lidev shot that mysterious man of Bones's, and the mysterious man having attempted to, you know, blow up her and Torii.

But that's a story to go over should you choose to. Right now, I'm going to check IC and some other thread.

Arlight....Ushering is complete for both plays. Now able to work on PL Fridays, at least without considering Strat Games Club.
---
I'll rid of this if it's too blog-ish, but a little bit of some personal insight.
....Do you know that deep, sinking feeling? The one that you get when you've done something wrong? The feeling that never leaves, the one that keeps you awake at night. Twisting and twirling underneath the covers, wishing desperately that it'd go away. The thing caused by the action that no one remembers or really cares about for a while: but you care, you remember.

I just pulled one of those. On a nearly-perfect Friday. The play was good in its third (technically fourth, but only counting the 'secret' family night) showing. But the crew was sloppy and caused a few issues during the thing that were distracting: thrice, music went on for a second or two during conversations; a dolly backstage was knocked over during a scene; routes of crew members seemed off.

But what I did perhaps summarized it as a sloppy night, despite the complete and total precision of the actor's performance. After the play ended, I opened up the doors to the auditorium so people could exit out. I let a few get out before I headed on back towards a less-crowded section, trying to find my friend. I followed, and she had tried to exit through an emergency exit/spare door out into the cafeteria only to discover it was locked. She needed to get to the drama room, back through the stage and in a hallway there. So, she went through a route I didn't even think allowed. But we were ushers, right? We were part of the crew, and therefore allowed to go through there, right?

So I broke a highly-sensitive rule, and did something entirely rude and unprofessional without even knowing it: I went up along the side of the stage, and went back behind the curtain. While crew was still cleaning up.

Props manager/quartermaster Luke, a junior and a very awesome fellow who I look up to, caught me. I got the sinking feeling as he repeated my name slowly, in a moaning agony that showed just what I had done wrong. He told me what I had done was 100% improper and rude, but told me that I was alright as long as I didn't do it again. But the sinking feeling was in: I tore at my gloves and my voice sank down to an absolute whimper, and I became ashamed.

Our director and theater teacher came up to me back in the hallway outside the drama room and told me the same. Even though I never even knew it was a rule, I felt absolutely horrible to have done something as horrible as jumping off of the stage. She didn't make it a big deal either, but....I linger in emotions. Twirl with them, even unconsciously.

So, while a ton of others whom found out what I'd done through me telling them didn't think it was too bad or simply brushed it off with a warning, I feel that I've killed myself a 1,000 times already over it as punishment. And the funny thing is, I want to forgive myself: it was an honest mistake, but I can't seem to accept it. And I know it'll haunt me for the rest of my life: I already have those memories, I don't want another one.

So I'm waiting to post till I get a response from Swith on a TG I sent. Seeing with her recent family crisis, want to know from her what Volt and Tipp will be doing.

Also, when is everyone moved to the island? Because that'll affect it as well.

@ Erucia, Never really, save when I was really young. Now I brush them off without much thought.

If we affirm one moment, we thus affirm not only ourselves but all existence. For nothing is self-sufficient, neither in us ourselves nor in things; and if our soul has trembled with happiness and sounded like a harp string just once, all eternity was needed to produce this one event—and in this single moment of affirmation all eternity was called good, redeemed, justified, and affirmed.

Hmph. I'll wait to post then as I don't want to drag someone into a conversation only for Volt to drop a message of 'BRB, timetravel'.

You were not being malicious, just trying to be a good friend. You are still a good person. Just a little technicality is hardly worth getting that upset over.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.
