I really want to link a Rise Against song, but the only reason that it's relevant is because the last two lines of the chorus are "'Till we don't have the strength to go on, 'till we don't have the strength to go o-o-ooooooon." That, and I don't remember the name at the moment. Opening lyrics are "Welcome home! While away, they have tampered with the locks, and your things they've rearranged. 'We propose a better way,' said the note they left behind, in their wake of disarray!" It's an okay song, except for the second non-chorus bit, but not memorable.

Eru, that wolf-cub is perfect. No doodlebug could harm someone with an adorable animal nearby. It'd be like a Devil prying the soul out of a puppy; it just doesn't happen.

99% of all people should own XCOM on the PC. At least.

Also:
You write earnest letters. You bribe, blackmail or buy University contacts. You present largely genuine credentials. You propose ever more abstruse researches. After weeks of effort, you are allowed one half-hour in the Museum. It's barely enough to walk around the place, but it is all you have. You are allowed neither notebook nor camera.

The exhibits are fascinating. It is hard to believe even half are genuine. A tray of thirty First City coins. A stuffed two-headed bat almost the size of a man. A scrap of black sail-cloth labelled 'Achaean, c 1200BC'. Two locks of hair, one dark and the other amber-coloured. The centrepiece of the Museum is a single half-eaten fig. It is unlabelled: but this must be the 'demi-consumed fruit' of the Dilmun Club's monograph.

Yep. NVE turned me on to it and now I'm playing the hell out of it. I usually start a few games and play them through to a certain level, then scrap them and start over so my foundation is better. I'm also learning it. Damn it all, why can't I launch satellites? Is there a place we build them??!

Aeten... yeah, I remember my childhood. We talked faster, and "like" was every other word. So I'd want to, like, go to the beach, you know, and then, like, my dad was all "No, it's too cold", and I was like, Duuuuude, that's so unfair. Totally raw deal, you know? So I asked every day for, like, a whole week, and finally he totally lets me go with my friends, but we got there and it was all, like, too cold and stuff.

Tilt, cool, dude. I totally BS'd that post, so I'm totally glad it, like, fits. :p

NVE *extra preening because of joy* I love it!

And now I'm going to play and then sleep! Goodnight Peeps!

Yes and no; you need to build satellite uplinks before you can launch satellites. The uplinks have a set number pf satelites they can handle; I don't remember what it was.

Oftentimes, if you're wanting to locate a character, it helps to use the search box. I think Swith and possibly AETEN mentioned something about this in previous OOCs, how they do it. I do this as well, but more generally when going back to previous ICs/OOCs to look things up.

And now, posts incoming after I get some breakfast.

And handle other miscellaneous RL business. Soon. I hope.

Rawr. I'll just post after lunch. Sigh. It's been a busy morning.

Put you character's name and the other characters' names in a post. Search becomes easier.

Working names in is easy if time's spent fleshing out a scene. Post size increases just by observing the other character. Simple things like: Klaus glanced at Minerva and noted her furrowed brow. She was beautiful when angry. [Insert dialog here.]

Now that I'm thinking of it:

People should read the bar/beach scene between Chrys and Hans. Tilt and Swith incorporate the other character's movements and body language into their posts and allowed those things to govern their character's thoughts and reactions. Hans read Chrys wrong once or twice which happens in real life. The scene was intense and believable as a result.

I'm seeing a lot of replies where characters seem to read minds. The player isn't conveying the thoughts through body language or dialog. So, be careful. Write body language into your post. Don't mindread prior posts. Ask the other player if a character's actions/reply lacks to the point of being "unreadable" by your character.

No harm in asking a person to give more. Aeten and Swith are excellent players but they've asked each other for more. It made the scene better. Tilt and Swith do the same. I don't see this as red catting; it's creative enhancement.

Uplinks can host two satellites, and an additional one for all adjacent satellite hosting facilities built next to it. Satellite nexuses can hold four, with the same adjacency bonus.
Me summed up in one sentence.

Morning, Peeps.

I won't be online much today. Family emergency. Don't expect any IC posts from me. My sincere apologies to everyone waiting on posts but I haven't been to bed yet, and I'm only home long enough to eat, shower and check things. I'll be heading back out again in an hour.

Cer offered to drive and he might have luck with his phone or tablet. If he has a signal on his devices, I'll pop in to stay abreast of things here. Meanwhile... trust Bones and Tilt.
