Might want to put "NPC" under 'character that owns it.'

New Aksarben wrote:
Your NS Nation's Nickname: New Aksarben, or Aksarben

Character Name: Namal Alaxendors Urn-Aldwor

Character Gender: Male

Character Species (nation personification, human, alien, etc): Khydir - A species of Lykosae that are draconic in nature. Divided into two subspecies, the Hali-Khydir and the Baes-Khydir. Baes-Khydir are anthropomorphic, and the Hali-Khydir are quadrupedal. The Hali rule the Baes, and are much more powerful in their abilities, both due to their size and by the fact the Khydir are more powerful in that form. The Hali are basically stereotypical Western-style dragons in abilities, size, and appearance.

Character Physical Description (height, weight, apparent age, actual age):

Beas-Khydir:
-6'5" tall
-200 lbs

Hali-Khydir:
-30 feet from head to tip of tail
-650 lbs

-if human, he would appear about 40.
-actual age: 120 Earth Years.

URL to Character Picture, if any:
Baes-Khydir Except with blue scales instead of that color, and obviously different clothes. I just couldn't find a picture better than this, really.
Hali-Khydir

Character Unique Skills(if any):

-Flight, with his wings.
-Metalworking, of many different kinds of metals
-Knows several languages: Latin, English, Makedan Khydiric, and Meotisian Naridic
-Talons in either form on both pairs of limbs, which he can use to fight.

Character Powers (if any): (12 points to spend, no single power over 8.)

(these are not including his natural abilities such as flight and tough scales)
Draconic Fire [5(as Baes)-8(as Hali]: His species has the natural ability to harness and generate fire. Not much else to say, really. Except that he's more powerful as a Hali-Khydir of course, along side its other advantages. By extension, he is mostly immune to fire and can withstand higher temperatures than most could. But there is a limit. For example, he couldn't survive being thrown into the sun, nor survive reentry as a Beas-Khydir. but he could survive it as a Hali-Khydir. Reentry, that is.

Shapeshifting [4]: He can shift between his Baes and Hali forms. Nothing else. But he's gotten good practice at it. It requires some time, and space for him to do so.

Character Weaknesses/Flaws:
-He's not completely familiar with English, and may say stupid things due to that. Or be prone to strange grammar and word usage.
-He's generous, but can be selfish when the mood strikes him, but when he's generous he's generous to a fault.
-He's a reptile. He can be incapacitated with coldness, and will have to wear a lot of clothes when its cold out.
-He has limits to how much fire he can generate, as it uses up his own energy(as in nucleic energy) to create it. The more fire he creates, the more he will have to eat in preparation or following it.
-He can go into a sort of hibernation when its really, really cold out, to conserve energy and body heat.
-He's not super strong as a Beas Khydir, nor as durable.
-He needs to take some time to get used to his new form following shifting from one form to another, and it takes some time.
-He can't enter smaller places when in his Hali form, due to the fact he's simply larger than them. And he can't change shape there otherwise he'll get hurt from the confined space constricting him.

Character Background/Biography: Namal was born roughly a hundred years ago(in Earth years) to a Hali-Khydir and a Baes-Khydir. His birth was quite the unique one, for several varied reasons. In his culture, such a union was taboo, and as such the whole family was shunned once it was discovered that his mother(the Hali-Khydir) had fallen in love with a lowly Baes-Khydir. They were forced to move to the outskirts of Pel-lya. His mother was also forced to give up her place on the ruling council, and her status as an incarnation of one of their Goddesses as well. Luckily, they did manage to find a place that they could all live comfortably.

While life even in the outskirts of the Great City of Pel-lya(as the Khydir call it) was quite comfortable compared to the more distant regions of the Makedan Kingdom, it was quite difficult for Namal. His abilities were stronger due to the surfacing of traits that were normally dormant in the pure bloodlines of the Hali and Baes, which made him more troublesome as a hatchling and, well, more difficult to manage in general. He had little control of his shifting abilities early on in his life, too, which led to quite a few ruined sets of clothing, and many, many, many trips to the tailors to fix the ones he had. But he was a happy little hatching. Well, aside from the bullying for being a 'half-blood', of course. Which got quite intense at times, due to the highly stratified and rigorous organization of Makedanian society in particular.

The more interesting parts of Namal's own life began once he was old enough to begin the Khydiric equivalent of college. He went to specialize in ancient Lykosae history and the various dialects of the Khydiric language, and picked up the trade language of Meotisian Naridic while he was there. He eventually began to pick up metalworking as a hobby of his, given his especially potent ability with Draconic Flame was useful as he could heat up the metal he as working with and not worry about getting burned.

He met some good friends who were able to look over his status as a half blood and he acted as a sort of bridge between the Baes and Hali on campus, as he could take the form of either to communicate. He was happier then ever, and got to meet interesting Khydir, and even members of some of the other races who were in a sort of exchange program. His best friend ended up being a Narid named Jakarn, who he met through his ancient history classes.

But that's not really the interesting part of what happened in college. Namal also became one of the first Khydir to make contact with humans, who sent a scouting party down from the base on Hellas to make contact with the Khydir and other races on the continent of Nycia. They had made contact with Meotis, a nation of the Narid, long ago. But that was a closely guarded secret for them to get the advantage on their competitors in terms of the new resources they could trade with the humans in the future. It just happened that Namal and his friends were taking a little weekend trip to the site that was the planned landing spot for the human's lander.

The meeting was quite interesting, especially since Namal being familiar with Meotisian Naridic allowed the two groups to communicate. Once The Khydir learned that the humans were here in peace, and only wanted to meet with the Makedanian Kingdom's leaders, they led them to the capital of Pel-lya, only a short distance from where they had landed. Which happened to be on a plateau just outside of the city, one that allowed both Hali and Baes to relax together due to it being cleared of many of its trees.

To cut a long story short, Namal helped introduce the humans to the Dynutia(the oligarchic rulers of Makedania), and was promptly kicked out of the proceedings due to his half-blood. Which peeved him off a bit, but Namal accepted their ruling, and waited to hear what the Dynutia would decide. Which turned out to be that he would serve as a sort of ambassador due to the fact he was, firstly a half-blood(thus, not very important), and secondly, he could communicate with them efficiently. So he was basically dragged along with the humans as they returned to their world along with them, light years from his homeland and homeworld.

He spent the next few decades there, serving as a sort of intermediary between the Hali-Khydir who had come with and refused to associate with humans, and obviously the humans themselves. He quickly learned Latin, which was the tongue of this new people, and English to facilitate quicker communication between his people and Humanity. He also learned relatively quickly that the nation who he was a guest in was known as "Aksarben". He also became familiar with their technology, or at least its basics, which provided a boon for the technology of his homeworld through him and the ambassadors of the other races of Lykosae.

Namal is quite the nice Khydir, and is always willing to help his friends. He is suspicious of strangers in general, and prefers operating in the same social circles and is careful about who he includes in his circle of friends. Namal thinks of himself as a scholar, and enjoys reading the history of other words and peoples, especially in their perspectives, rather than that of his own people.

Namal will also not hesitate to defend those he cares about, using his natural abilities and skills to his advantage to take on those who might threaten his friends or loved ones. He has a good sense of justice, and will not back down from his opinions unless he is shown his opinions are mistaken through logical arguments, and not shouting contests.

Why the character in Bielefeld/Occupation: He's in Bielefeld as he wanted to get away from his job at the Embassy. He may have also fallen into one of Aksarben's Dimension Gates and into their facilities in Bielefeld and just gone with it.

He's a blacksmith by choice, thus will be finding a job in that once he's settled in the city. Until then, he has money from his job at the embassy. He may start his own business after a while to sell his products more directly later.

Link to RP examples: (this MUST be a DIRECT LINK to your IC post in an RP, NOT a link to the RP thread itself. If you don't have examples, make your biography good.) Do I need one?

IMPORTANT:
One paragraph that sums up your character. This paragraph is what we'll use on your player tab on the first page of the thread. This MUST be brief. Your tab will contain a link to your application so people will have full details: Namal is a Khydir from Lykosae, and a mix of the two subspecies. He has the power to manipulate fire, as the rest of his species can. He's a mix of Hali and Baes-Khydir, leading to his unique abilities and powers. He's a nice guy in general, and loves to read.

Hope I got everything right! :3

It's fine. Send the link to Swith so she an add it to your tab.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

Tilt what would the handsign for Chaos be? I'm picturing two hands grasping air in spastic, random movements like frantic spiders attempting to be everywhere at once. ASL is much kinder.

I have no idea, honestly.
Back when I first did this I had no idea what I was coming up with. I totally forgot the signs I'd established for myself, as well. Need to go back and remember those, or else just sit down and come up with something. *laughs*

That works as good as anything! *nods*

Constantly checking for weather alerts
Constantly checking for aviation weather alerts
Hiding under the bed or in a closet
Putting a full tornado plan into effect as soon as the rain begins
Making everyone stay in line of sight in case the house blows away

Ogoti was talking to whoever happens to be there although his focus is on Dora. He's making small talk.
