She's an overly safe driver which is why there are white knuckle moments. She analyzes everything constantly. "If something were to jump in front of me, where would I go?" mentality. Her spacial awareness is freakish. I can't parallel park my truck. She can. Yet an umbrella unexpectedly opening scares her, she won't touch plant roots and she's afraid to walk to the edge of the deck.

Snow's going to be having some issues for a while. I get really nervous when I think about the idea of nonexistence; my belief is that humans can't comprehend it fully, and therefore looking at it causes their brains to basically go into overdrive trying to deny it. For some people that might result in it replacing whatever nothing looks like with some sort of visual hallucination; for me that's going to screw things up for a bit.

Hypnosis is real, but only works on people with a strong imagination. I find that amusing.

If imagination provides some mental defense against the nothingness, I think we'll be okay.

In case anyone is wondering about realism and Swith's mad driving skills. Fuck. Don't ever ride with her when there's a time crunch. She drives this like it was as small as this. One day, while driving at 40mph through this there was a collision in the left lane. Swith zipped that fucker into the right lane to avoid slamming into the vehicle in front. Between two delivery trucks. Without physically looking behind her and just relying on the right hand side mirror. Like a cog sliding into place. And kept talking. At 40mph. Because you're supposed to keep the same speed in the tunnel (although changing lanes is verboten but "I just had to switch jeez I hope those guys are okay where do you want to eat lunch?") Pucker factor¹⁰. We had bad snow last winter and slid all the way down a major hill (many hills out here) and hit the patch of plowed and salted road at the bottom. She held on and we did a donut. Ended up in the middle of the intersection. My heart was pounding hard enough to burst from my chest. Crazy chick threw her hands in the air and said "Yay! Do it again!" Drove away as calm as can be.

But big lorries scare her. "I hate driving in Dayton. They run you off the road."

Fuck. YOU run people off the road. Insanity.

I once rode in a rally car with a Finnish rally driver through a string of backwood roads, with lots of bumps, mini-hill jumps, turns and giant trees, at around...120kph, so around 75mph. My balls receded into my torso every time the car jumped at least a meter into the air.

That's what I imagine Swith drives like: a crazed Finnish rally driver.

Also, just had some RL moments. Apologies for not being on, it was a rather silly reason but it was a bit of a deterioration for me and I really had to just walk away for a bit.

It depends more on the person than it does on the strength of imagination. Some people are going to block it and replace it with something more palatable; others are going to, as Night said, feed it.
