"I believe that I have met them on one occasion...is something wrong?" she asked. She wished no ill will on anyone. She hoped that nothing was wrong in the raptor house. Her eyes searched Chrys' face for answers.

I just might have to swing by to visit the sea monster and the lagoon!" She threw Ogoti a quick wink, before stripping quickly and folding her clothes up to take back with her later.

A quick turn under the water - which was as piping hot as Ogoti had promised - had the blood, sweat, and stress washed away from her, and she stepped back out with her usual aura of confidence. Finding a hair dryer in a bathroom drawer, she went about her business with it. Ending the process with a quick styling she'd done before, she left her thick hair as it usually was in the front, and gathered the back, braiding only the very ends of it. The effect was like a curtain that narrowed drastically at the end.

She stepped out to where Ogoti was waiting patiently, and circled slowly for him. "Thanks for the wait. How do I look?"

Ogoti was speechless. He attempted to politely keep his eyes on her face but it was damn near impossible as she turned and posed - still naked because he hadn't found a wrap for her yet.

"You look good enough to-" he trailed off, a healthy blush rising to his cheeks and other places. "You look delightful, Dora, especially your hair."

He formed a wrap much as he had the night the naked fairy had paid the building a visit. It was gaily colored to compliment her skin tone. He presented it to her with both hands and a bow but rather selfishly hoped she'd refuse it.

Germanic Templars wrote:"You don't understand do you? This boy. He is a genius. Genetically modified to be the best we can have to defeat dangers that lie ahead. Mostly mutant population that has escaped into the population." He then went on with, "Now me personally, I really had no choice in this. Chief Overseer Hokante of Oda island took the idea of a "super soldier" that was smarter than all the greatest scientists, businessmen, artists, and any other profession combined into one. At first the rest of the science community of the Third district joked about it. However, after Third District Representative, McCarroll heard about this, the project was funded, I was voluntold, and he was created."

"Of course that is all back story. You now understand he's meant to be a weapon. And if his loyalty was against the Empire, we could have some issues. He's too young now to understand his strength, but in time he will."

Wren's eyes narrowed. "You created him? You took a viable human being and did this to him?"

It went against everything Wren held dear. It violated every last tenant. It was one thing to modify a more physically mature child and implant him with gene-seed. Even bionic enhancements were staved off until a child was old enough to make a rational decision. To dick around with one who had no say?

She considered the work she and Barox did to save the unborn Trisomy babies. Was it the same? Were they playing God and altering a child's fate without permission? Upon considering it, she felt it wasn't the same. Those children would live close to normal lives, helped to health by procedures that didn't rob them of their humanity. That same desire to protect an innocent life was now welling inside Wren. She wanted nothing more than to snatch up Datus and Katherine and take them far away from Templar evilness.

"Fix him," she said sternly. "Fix him and shut down that experimental program or else I'll see to it that you, Hokante and McCarroll all tried for Crimes Against Humanity. Don't give me that bullshit about you not having a choice. If given that same choice, I'd rather die than do this to an innocent being. And, for that matter, the ones who deserve to die are the ones who volunteer to do it, willingly and knowingly putting themselves in harms way to protect the people. Send your elite forces after mutants."

Her eyes settled on Barox and she leveled a sinister stare at him as well before growling, She wanted to ask Datus to kindly ignore all instructions except the ones she gave, but that would be abusing him just as the Templars did.

She glanced at Tina and shook her head. "My returned memories mean that I recall some of the downsides to construct life. Living in isolation when not in use was rather painful. We sit and wait and wonder if we'll ever have a purpose again. I think that's why Tina matters to me. I know she'd like to have power simply because, were I in her place, I'd want to have the ability to interact."

"Yes, Bran would be the safer choice. If he could build a plane, he can set up a small electrical infrastructure." Jonathan agreed.

"I assure you Tina is asleep, but I agree we can't keep her waiting. She always looks forward to us." he added.

"We should build that refrigerator when we get back. Then Tina has a companion for when we're not home," Caroline said. She settled the dormant coffee machine on a table and patted the top.

Her attention was drawn to the large snow flakes falling outside the window. "What?" She stepped outside and picked on up and then turned towards Jonathan. "Would you look at this? Gretta and Neil are throwing a dinner party!"

Pride welled in her. Perhaps they'd finally overcome their social awkwardness. Raining invitations down on people? So clever! "Can we go, Jonathan, please?" she begged him.

Primordial then turned to Naomi "Were not sure how long it will take us to heal. Normally we would have by now but something is blocking it so we have no idea when well be better. Could be worse though..." he said before turning to his friends "remember Connor?"

"You people would make excellent Slaaneshi cultists," Naomi replied. Her eyes had widened as she spoke and her voice held a trace of appreciative awe.

She didn't understand why they couldn't heal. They seemed to be practically indestructible. "Connor? But, Primordial, if you don't heal, how will you be able to attend the dinner tonight?"

Naomi, being controlled by the OP, had privy to the knowledge that leaflets had fallen outside. It was a cultist thing. She toyed with possibly offering to heal them although doing that might be a rude gesture to the Luxan pantheon.

Moments later, an individual wearing a white robe with hood that covered over his face stepped up to his pod. With a few push of buttons, Thriller's oxygen supply was compromised, causing the man to awake and start panicking. However, as it went on, his banging on the glass and over all struggle slowed down before he seized to move overall.

"Now look at his left hand... Or shall I say tentacles. There is only one individual I know who has that and who would try and get back at Thriller. And who could possibly try and work with him to make it better. But that is all theory for now."

Charumati maintained a semi-detatched demeanor as the clip played. She was seething inside however.

"Well, then I suppose I'll have to hunt him down and kill him." It wasn't a turn of a phrase. Charumati resolved to do so. It would take time. She'd need to go to Gliese and stand in that very room in order to pick up residual evidence. After that it would all downhill for the tentacled one.

"Atosh wouldn't work with this creature. Atosh would take advantage of him. That's his habit."

It was still at the bar that several leaflets would rain down upon Dan, Hans and Cuisine. By now, Dan was most certainly drunk and the glowing luminescence was showing clearly. Pale and soft in light, it held all the delicate nature of Summer most at ease, and Dan was very much so. With an empty stomach and nothing but alcohol to fill it in with, Dan was drunk, though not a total mess thanks to his innate healing ability. The power of the fae in him reacted to his emotions and the light of summer was never more attuned that it was now, or so he was convinced while telling that to Hans and Cuisine. He was happy, comfortable and the drink with ginger ale was likely to stay with him well into the night and throughout the rest of this retreat on the island. He tried to explain the glowing effect with some success and he knew he got the emotional state right, at least he thought so.

"And when I'm mad, which is never," he bobbed his head with affirmation, "it usually becomes a solid light. Never tried it before though, nope, more of a practice thing with Aurora.

A few leaflets floated down and one traced a ghost of a touch upon Dan's forearm. He turned his head, noticing it and picked it up, reading it immediately, "Nice a dinner party! Think they'll have turkey? That was good." He asked, clearly not remembering his vegetarian promise to himself.

"Anyway, I should probably stop with this drink, though I'd certainly wouldn't mind having it again at dinner time," he chuckled to himself and pushed the near empty drink away from him. Hiccuping a bit, Dan blinked his eyes several times and nodded with a grin, "Alright, need to get this in check, thanks for the company Hans and Cuisine, and I'll see you on later tonight." He got up, swayed a tad, and made his way back to his hut. Glow and all.

"It was nice to meet you, Dan, and we'll see you then!" Cuisine boomed after the glowing figure, and then turned to Hans. "Mind your drink there! You can keep the glass for now. I'll just stow the water bottle and the rest of it, close things up, and we'll be on our way, then."

The folding counter, now clear of bottles and cans and glasses caught the sun briefly as Cuisine rotated it back to form the beach-facing wall of the cabin. There was a brief rustling as he disappeared into the back and changed into a suit, coming back into view. It was a relatively short walk down the beach to the raptors' Victorian manor, so stately and with a contrasting backdrop of its own soil. Cuisine and Hans would arrive not long after Torii and MB would.

Bran nodded, finally accepting the handshake he was offered. Namal seemed nice enough, and was generally making the same assumptions that he was about him. He seemed pleasurable to be around in general, despite the imposing appearance of the Dragon-type creature. "Hmm, I know someone who might want to meet you, very interested in . . . Dragons, if the term is correct."

"I am a Khydir, Bran. But yes, I am similar to a dragon in that respect. Something you should know about my species is that we have two subspecies, one that looks more like how legends of Terra described dragons, and the other like I am now, Bipedal and all that. So we are like dragons in another way. I'm just not in that shape in this form. But I still do look very draconic." He nodded in agreement and his tail swished over the sand lightly, scattering it across the beach.

"I can agree I am a bit imposing to most humans. Especially seeing as I look vaguely human but not quite, and can do things like this," At that he held out a clawed hand and a small flame appeared in it, before winking out of existence after a few moments. The fire that had been there had not seemed to affect NAmal in the slightest, except for making him look a bit tired as he used up some energy. "By the way, that is an ability most Khydir can use, I'm not that unique in that respect, really."

"You speak in my native tongue? Not many seem to know it here." Sigtrygg responded in kind, scratching his chin and thinking. Only Klaus had really known the language from the people he met. It was strange seeing this.... what was it? Just robes or something, or was there a creature inside of it? Sigtrygg could not tell right now. Maybe knowing it for longer would allow Sigtrygg to find that out.

"Well, I am Siggtrygg Karlsson Snjalli. I am a prince of the Kingdom of Finland and Varangian Guardsman for the Roman Emperor. But I suppose now I am simply a 'bouncer' at Chaos. But it is good to meet you, Deader. Interesting name for someone, that.... But still, you seem to be quite interesting just by your appearance alone, and also mysterious."

"Prince Sig!" said Deader. "I suspected it was you - of course, or I wouldn't have tried Old Norse. Then, there aren't many who match your size and strength."

It looked down at itself. "Yes, I suppose so. Mystery is good, however, for the mind. It keeps wonderment fresh in the world, does it not? And speaking of which, might I have some of your hair? I've never experimented on a prince before, you see."

"Oh? I do not see why not. It is just some of my hair after all. Not like it is anything too important, like my heart." Sigtrygg responded with a shrug, looking at the mass of red robes he was conversing with. This was still quite weird, but he would get used to it eventually, probably. Or not. Some things you just couldn't get used to after all. Or were just very very difficult, like a new king being in charge or a new dynasty.

"And yes, you were smart using Norse to speak to me at first, because I enjoy using my native tongue more than English. And yes, I assume that a blond, tall Norseman is a rarity in this place....." He nodded at that, looking around before settling his eyes back on deader. He then realized something, which he vocalized. "By the way, aren't you uncomfortably warm in all those robes?"

"Tha..... That just doesn't make sense! Our method is better because we can care for nature and make sure it properly stays going. Who would take care of the animals of Equestria if ponies didn't? Who would wake them up when it was time for spring and make sure the snow is cleared off at the end of Winter?" Sterling said, nervousness in his voice at the idea of the seasons and animals taking care of themselves. That just didn't make any sense! How could animals get the proper diet without ponies to help them? How could anything else work without ponies in charge of things? Sterling was beginning to realize just how different this world was to his own, and it was scaring him more than a little bit.

"W-well, anyway, I think it only makes sense for ponies to be the ones in charge of nature, and not nature itself... Plus, most other animals are also intelligent. Cows, Donkeys, Buffalo, and other races can all speak and coexist in Equestria with us. Even non-hoofed animals like rabbits show smarts with gestures, even if we can't understand them...." It was quite true, seeing as ponies sometimes also argued with said species, especially the ones that lived where ponies were moving too.

"But anyway, ponies are needed for the most important job of all. The one that keeps life going on Equestria. Raising and lowering the sun and the moon. Before the Princesses, Unicorns still took care of this. Making sure the sun raised at its proper time and then lowered too. How could the sun and moon raise and lower on their own? It just doesn't make sense for them to do that!" The purple unicorn looked very, very nervous, pawing at the sand in front of him on the beach, staring at the small rivets made by his hooves as he did that. It was obvious he didn't like this subject at all, as it challenged his whole world view and basically all the order of his life back in Equestria.

"Oh!" Myra, eternally shy, hadn't spoken much while Namal and Bran chatted. She pointed excited at the airplane overhead, oblivious to interrupting the pair.

Leaflets dropped from the sky. They covered the beach and settled on Myra's hut roof. She descended the short flight of stairs to stand on the beach next to Tieria. Her hand plucked one from his shoulder.

"There's a dinner party being held by Neil and Gretta. Everyone's invited."

The teenager squealed and pressed the invitation to her chest. "Can we go? Please? It'll be fun - and I don't want to go alone."

"Well," said Giovenith, after pause to let Sterling speak his opinions. She hadn't expected the ponies to take it that well, if there world really was as they said it was. "If that's what you'd like to believe, then I'm in no position to argue. I've never seen your world. But I do point out, you have stepped into a world that has gone just fine so far without your special brand of magic. Some things aren't true everywhere."

Willow really didn't know how to respond to any of this, and anything he could have thought of had he not been so brain-frazzled by Giovenith's off-the-wall suggestion of nature probably had already been covered by Sterling. The pegasus merely shifted his gaze between the two, occasionally flicking an ear in thought. Like Sterling, a world that wasn't maintained by ponies was a world turned upside down and inside out to Willow. Still, Giovenith's logic gnashed and clawed at the barriers his mind had thrust up to guard against the unthinkable, as his world view and comfort zone huddled together in a corner on the other side... he didn't want to let those beastly things in, but damn, were they ever persistent.

"But anyway, lookie here!" Giovenith quickly changed the subject when one of the fliers flitted over in the small group's direction, hopping over to the side slightly to catch and read it. She smiled, "Oh wow, a dinner party by the raptor family!"

"Hm?" Willow cracked out his sticky, confused stupor to turn to her words. "What?"

"Friends," assured Giovenith, showing them the flier. "Long-time, good friends! A lovely scientist raptor couple with three adorable chicks. According to this, everyone is invited to this dinner party of theirs'. Isn't that great?"

"I thought we already had a large dinner?" asked Willow, remembering Thanksgiving.

"That was a holiday, this is a personal thing. We should all go together!" Giovenith was excited at her own suggestion, smiling wider and brighter at the two ponies.

"Mmmmmm..." croaked Willow, slowly narrowing his eyes. "I don't know... lots of feasts lately, hm?" Although he was sure at this point that Giovenith would not do anything to (intentionally) hurt them, Willow still couldn't help but begin recalling Hansel and Gretel. Twas the life of a cynic, making such connections. "And we don't really know them."

"But they're really, really nice, I swear!" insisted Giovenith, voice turning slightly pleading. The ponies' (mostly Willow's) constant underlying fear and suspicion of this world admittedly made Giovenith feel a small amount of guilt, guilty that she wasn't able to shoo-away their uneasiness like a good protector/hostess would (which was partially how she viewed herself in relation to the two).

"Oi! Vorwarts!", Torii shouted, and marched ahead to the feast. Thinking about another feast was really making her hungry; Thanksgiving just hadn't hit her good enough. Of course, she stopped for a moment to consider dressing up, as a swimsuit probably wasn't so classy for such an event, but....ah well, it's was the island, and it was hot. What would the others care?

Now, hopefully, people would be there by now. Torii continued marching on, carrying MB with her.

The backyard dinner table remained awaiting the guests. The antique chairs sat open welcoming Torii and MB with the empty plates placed irregularly.

Bedeviled Saudi Arabian religious policemen notwithstanding, Dora was quite comfortable with recognizing and accepting others' beliefs if they didn't infringe on her. So it was that she accepted the wrap with both hands and bowed back.

"Thank you, Ogoti," she said, with an impish smile as she straightened. She knew full well what he'd been about to say, and had to admit to herself that she enjoyed the attention. "This wrap is quite exquisite. I'm not quite sure what to say other than thank you again," she added, giving him an appreciative look.

Something rising from somewhere deep inside her made her lean forward and whisper, "I wouldn't mind that first idea, you know, later," before pulling back with a wink, as she slid into the wrap. "But that's for later, I imagine. I'm ready to go when you are."

The garish green halo atop the hood of Deader's robes - or was that just a messy fold-over? - bobbed up and down lightly. It gave the eerie impression that it had a mind of its own and was jittering with amusement.

"Atomic kittens. They come," non-sequitured Deader, in a sudden tone of hammered-iron that spoke of doom and fudge. "Be warned, and fare ye well..."

The strange being drifted off in the direction of the raptors' mansion, trusting that curiosity would cause Sig to trail in his wake. He seemed like an academic sort of prince, one of the scholar-princes that someone would expect to find in long and fantastical stories.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

Oh hell. Is she telepathic? I don't want to worry people. This isn't g - no, no, pull yourself together, Chrys. You're among friends here. She's probably just reacting to your lack of expression. Loosen up.

"No, not at all. Have you been at odds with them? Sometimes they are a bit wild," the blonde replied, hoping her smile didn't look too forced or artificial.

The stirring of the tide and the quiet noise of the grains of sand sliding over each other let Dora lapse into a semi-awake state of lazy awareness. Here, there were no concerns about Allspice, no Tasia, no Bane. A rare break in her existence, suddenly stormy of late. She breathed the salty air in and out. Despite her earlier coyness to Ogoti, she felt no rush to jump into things. The island, it seemed, was just what she needed.

"So much like home - my original home, I mean. Athens of so long ago; the familiar warmth and seaside - even the birds are similar," she said reflectively, almost to herself.

"Maybe he just thought I meant something else." Kei visibly shrugged, still up front, so gestures might be the one thing to keep the conversation going as they neared the raptor's house. "Well, maybe we can both sit on him. His back looks quite good for Lumbar support, eh?" She laughed again, going off on something that she'd more than likely find funny.

Either way, they were now at the Raptor's fence.

"No thanks but that's very kind of you." Insidious said while Primordial conversed with one of the tentacles. A few minutes later the tentacle retracted into the ceiling before reappearing with a circular ball of metal. It was covered in strange symbols and runes that burned with a weak fire that made the whole thing seem to glow. With a lazy motion a large eye opened up on its face, and began to hurriedly look around. They eye is incredibly synthetic looking and rather than a single circular pupil it was four triangular one. The tentacle releases it and it falls for a few seconds before beginning to float in the air clumsily. "It will follow you until the party starts" Primordial explained.

"Yes, it would," Luce remarked mildly, his flush slowly fading. "As a matter of fact, Chrys did try to do it in retaliation for Dora and my telling her there was no more Dr Pepper anywhere in our main building, that one time. Life-size horse costume and all."

Dia ground his teeth and said nothing. Living with Chrys at that point had been a total nightmare. Now that Luce had brought it up again -

"I really do want to sit on him."

The pair got ready to greet the raptors as they passed beyond the fence.

Bran, Tieria, and Namal all walked into the garden, with Bran in the lead, because his user was harmlessly NPC'ing the others at the moment. He found an empty table and took a seat, expecting his family to be along any minute now.

Torii picked up her place to greet Neil, and carefully picked up MB, placing him on the ground next to her, before waving a quick "hello". "Tea sounds good about now, yes. Thanks, Neil....or Mr. Von Eldritch; whatever you prefer. This looks really nice!", she added. She wanted to make a good inpression as a guest, and felt like things were already going well for her. This was a nice day so far....

Not far behind, Katya led Yoshi over, a bit carefully. She was feeling a bit queazy in the stomach, a side-effect of being almost six-months pregnant, but she was handling it well. She wasn't nearly as bloated as other girls, but it was noticeable, definitely, and Katya was proud of how well she looked and faired. Her face was glowing as she continued on with Yoshi.

"Welcome everyone to this occasion. It is nothing special, just another day, but all our dear friends and figments of our imagination are welcome to this dinner party so close to Thanksgiving." Neil greeted as the guests arrived.

"Remember, if you feel like time is not flowing the same for you as anyone else, it probably is. Due to our time-travel technology in which the food is being prepared. Please have a seat and a drink of your choice should already be provided in the nearest teacup of your choice." Gretta instructed.

The dinosaurs felt at home with the familiar faces and new faces that finally showed up. It was the best turnout for their weekly dinner parties they ever had, not counting the imagined guests.

"You may call me Neil. How long has it been Torii? I do forget the passage of time, but what relevance is that to where we are?" he greeted as he pointed to a cup of hot tea next to her.

The chicks peeked up over the table at MB. "Ohh it's a fluffy little mammal!" Swift exclaimed. "Where did you come from?" Jenny asked. "It knows sign language." Robert observed curiously.

The empty plates awaited and he looked around at all the people who came, at all the familiar strangers that did not know them.

'Yay, I know a raptor on a first-name basis!", She thought excitedly. "Even here, though, time is relevant to me. Christmas time is soon, and I wanna ask some of the adults about having my most favorite family member ever over, and I gotta do it fast, but for now? Tea."

She bowed every so slightly to Neil, then gratefully took her cup of tea and blew a few times to cool it down.

It had been a rather...uneventful day since arriving on the island, if Ray was to be entirely frank. Having arrived, it was a large amount of simply placing out his belongings. From there, he was rather unsure of what exactly to do: enjoy the island, seek something out...? Sure, the little 'home away from home' was nice. In truth, it was actually wonderful: cool on the inside in a nice contrast to the generally warm climate, and the sea air was fresh and unintrusive.

However, he'd spent a dozen minutes sitting around after unpacking wondering what on Earth to actually do. It was rather out-of-spirit to spend time on the laptop so early in the day, and Ray wasn't about to spend every waking minute alongside of Albert. So, there was the MIRA rifle that he'd brought with him, as well as the nice kit 'n Leupold scope. One thing led to another, and he was gradually trying to rummage through the forest's plant life.

Of course, this didn't turn out quite as planned. Waddling through the vegetation was relatively annoying work, making Ray wish he'd actually brought a flamethrower along with him. It took the good part of the time actually finding an animal to take down: something that looked like a pig popped out from around a bush.

Within that moment, however, Ray's attempt at actually killing the animal hit several snugs. Leaning up against a tree while already in an odd stance from the shrubs beneath him, Ray took several seconds to line up the animal into the crosshairs of the MX-1. And once he had and actually blasted away a shot, he had been easily given away and the pig had made a run for it: the 6.8mm bullet instead slammed into a tree, the casing ejecting and spinning wildly into the vegetation underneath his feet.

He didn't try to take another shot, for he realized that he'd actually have to lug the pig back home and skin, gut and prepare it if he wanted a meal from it: none of these things were really in the vacation mindset, nor was Ray a hunter. And unwilling to pick up the metal casing and burn his fur and skin, he left with a sigh and continued the journey all the way back to the hut.

The plane that flew overhead during his time spent wandering out through jungle vegetation, however, did deliver him a very kind pamphlet once he'd returned back 'home'. With it in-hand, he flagged down Albert and asked if he wanted to actually head to the dinner party that had been offered.

"Dinner party? With the raptors?", Albert chuckled a bit, resting his cheek against his hand and sighing as if it had been a joke. "No, certainly not. I'd rather avoid it. Besides, don't you think that the rather unpleasant memory of being grown back from a tank after having your body crushed by a horse isn't a good reason to go back to them?"

"Well, they have food. I'm hungry, and frustrated. I want something to do...So yes, I do think it's a good idea, Kitty," Ray shrugged back as he dechambered the present cartridge from the rifle, unloaded it, and placed it down onto a counter. From there, he continued talking as he changed into another pair of pants that had not been stained by vegetation. "Would Jacob perhaps come along?"

"He wouldn't think it to be a good idea, Ray. Besides, I'm sure he could far best them with his own cooking," Albert glanced back towards Ray with studying eyes. It seemed that he really didn't have much to do either, but was willing to avoid the party at the cost.

Ray left Albert to his own bidding, and after a check with Jacob, the hint was revealed to be true: Ray would therefore be going alone, but at least he was ensured a pleasant experience of some kind. He commented to himself on how the two brothers could be so different and yet so alike in his head, scratching at his ears and continuing forth. He held some annoyance, considering that the winter coat his body had been growing was now entirely forfeit and instead offered a much bushier set of fur that was unfit for the island's weather (for the most part).

Finally arriving at the party itself, an unspecific greeting from Neal was at least reassuring. Might have been a crazy bunch, but at least they could prove good hosts. Once inside, he decided that it might be best to see what Luce had actually managed to come up with since the last discussion: Ray singled out and approached him, introducing himself quickly. "...So, did any progress get made on the discussion we had previously, or is it still in the works?"

It went against everything Wren held dear. It violated every last tenant. It was one thing to modify a more physically mature child and implant him with gene-seed.

Germanic Templars wrote:"Alright!" He pressed it and a video of Thriller in his recovery pod came up.

Barox, realizing the situation brewing from the start, took the kids and kept them occupied away from the argument.
"Crimes against humanity? The hell you talk about?" He asked. He took a more physical defensive stance as he placed his left foot slightly in front and a lean back. "First off, young lady, we cannot just send elite forces after them, especially the current state our nation is in now. Two, we tried that, and with little success done. Now onto the next topic; it seems easier for individuals to set up a closed mind yet an open forum to criticize and talk down on things they don't know two shits about! This is just one of those few incidents I have to listen to." At this point, his blue eye turned red as his optic lens contracted a bit.

Besides, if you want to start pointing fingers at more people, point it at the rest of the representatives and the immortal emperor. That is right. Signed and documented under article 0769-2.100 was the new law. A law to hunt down mutants that endangered people's lives. So you can expect that when that law was enacted, we like so many others had to find a way to stop it. Others had more inhumane than what we got."

"In fact, if I had more time with the child, I could have, but still have the chance to now, to train him to be able to capture these mutants and reverse their mutations. But of course, when the populous catches wind of our ideas, the torches are lit, pitchforks are gathered and the fingers are pointed at us, for we are monsters!" He then stood there, crossing his arms and waiting for whatever she had next to say.

"Well what a hoot it will be when they both try and stab each other in the back. He is known to give bad deals like a politician is to accept paid votes for himself."

"Well? Come on, guys."

Bran, Tieria, and Namal all walked into the garden, with Bran in the lead, because his user was harmlessly NPC'ing the others at the moment. He found an empty table and took a seat, expecting his family to be along any minute now.

"So, this is the raptor's place. They're a little creepy, but otherwise, if you know them well, they're great people-er, Dinosaurs."

"Dinosaurs?" Myra looked about, expecting to see anthropomorphized carnivores of some kind. She sucked in her breath a little when she finally saw Gretta and Neil. It was like they'd just walked out of a movie... or dense jungle. A small squeak escaped her and she plopped down next to Bran and did her best to place him between her and the raptors' line of sight.

"Are they... real? Like real, and not enchanted to look that way?"

Primordial Luxa wrote:

"Okay," Naomi watched the probe hovering near her. It seemed harmless enough. She looked at Primordial and gave a shrug, then offered her empty cup to a tentacle.

"Well, I guess I'll be off. Thanks for the tea." It really had been nicely flavored, and she'd certainly enjoyed spending time with the Luxans. She resisted the urge to hug them. Instead, the godling stood quietly and then waited for their weird magic to deposit her outside again.

"You don't stab Atosh in the back," Charumati replied softly. "He's emotion. The intent to kill him empowers him. Hatred, pride, arrogance, the desire to harm others, the desire to master another, ambition... these things fuel him. The only way to combat him and not feed into his power is to fight for a noble cause... true love. We... Swith... would never have been able to rescue Thriller were it not for that emotion."

Charumati turned her face to examine him. "How did you come by this video, Levi?" She watched him intently.

Jonathan pulled out the seats in advance for her, the chair legs scraping the scorched grass below. He felt nervous, but put on his best face of confidence. As he sat he found the nearest teacup filled with coffee. It did not fell radioactive, so he decided it was as safe as could be hoped for. The empty plates awaited and he looked around at all the people who came, at all the familiar strangers that did not know them.

"You know," Caroline said as she sat down, "How many times in a person's life to they actually see a real Velociraptor walking down the street? Maybe we should act a bit shell shocked by it?" She was speaking very softly so only he could hear.

Her cup seemed to have coffee in it as well. She sampled it and detected nothing amiss other than it not being as robust as Tina's brew. She looked the guests over, recognizing some while also seeing new faces. She and Jonathan were outside the clique thanks to their new identities. Breaking into it might prove to be a challenge.

"Well it's not so much stabbing of the back. It's more of giving you a bad deal and heading out before you could say W-T-F. Though I am sure he could still kill the bastard. I do not know. All I know about the guy is rumors and old tales." He then sighed and continued on. "I came across this video before I left. I have been meaning to show you, but I didn't want to show too soon until I was sure it was the being I think it might be."
