3. Dude who invented writing forever ago (I think that was Vekta-H).
Not sure who else.
First, I didn't sail around Iberia. I sailed to the bottom of Italia and back. Also, I am barely advancing with my sails now.

Speaking of which, your population of fifteen thousand stretches credulity. You started with, what, two thousand tops? Population in this time period hasn't grown nearly that quickly; from 6000-4000 BCE the world populace only grew by 40%.

Nah, son. Britain was all like "yo, why my colonies be all uppity an' shit?!" And Lord Durham laid it straight: "they be wantin' legislation with representation, dawg."

Woops. Sorry. I meant to say Italian Peninsula.... Not sure how those got switched.G-Tech Corporation wrote:

Well lets due the math on this one. My population grew in that city by 650%, which seems like a lot. Then you realize it was over 2000 years. This leads to an average growth rate of only 0.325% which is quite small. Also considering that this isn't someplace like Ireland or Denmark, this is Egypt (tempting to say this is sparta). Egypt was one of the most populated regions in the paleolithic era (and still was in the ancient era). Memphis (where my proto-city Kimas is) actually had a city population that was in roughly the same as I have mine, in the tens of thousands. I would understand that comment had I been located in the middle of the Sahara (granted at this time it wasn't a desert) or in the Steppes or somewhere else. However, I am located in one of the places where the earliest states formed, the lush rivers of the nile.

And then let's do some more math.
What is 1500*(1.00325^6000)?
I'll save you some trouble; it's 4.27*10^12, or 4,270,000,000,000.
That means, at your growth rate of "only" 0.325%, the population of only your segment of the world will be four trillion. Not billion, but trillion.
Actual humanity in this era grew at an average rate of 0.0002% annually.
