"Hey!" Maisie giggled while smiling brightly. She pet his muzzle while he was trying to check her hands for food and her pockets. "I don't have anything silly! If you're smelling something sweet I think you're smelling the scent of my shampoo in my hair you silly horse" She giggled some more. Before coming here, she had taken a shower, even though she was going to a stable and would just get dirty again anyway. And she used strong-scented shampoo, so you could probably still smell it in her hair. And the scent of her shampoo was rather sweet. Part of her wondered how long it would be before he tried nibbling on her hair, but she had put it into a ponytail so at least it would be more difficult. Smiling from ear to ear, she just backed up a tad bit and pet the horse on the muzzle repeatedly, already appearing to have a new best friend.

Just as she started to wonder about her hair, he started liping at her hair, but not actually biting it or anything. Apparently deciding that it didn't taste good, he lowered his head, shook it and snorted. He then started bobbing his head up and down, pushing into her every time his head came up.

(Makayla)
"I guess you guys don't do a ton of riding then. At least, not long rides," Makayla said, since an hour and a half wasn't exactly typically long enough to wear out a horse that went on long rides a lot, nor was it very long. Both of her riding lessons had been about an hour, as had the trail rides, even though they all felt, sadly, shorter then an hour. "Bronze is my first horse, but that doesn't mean I'm not familiar with them. My mom used to ride, so we would go visit her horse sometimes, but I hardly remember that. On top of that there are the horses at the animal rescue place I volunteer at, so I know them." She immediately looked away when their eyes met, even before he said anything. She seemed to pretend that she didn't hear what he said. Again wondering as to whether it was rude not to reply, she had a little mental brawl with herself before just remaining silent.

Just then a young girl who looked like she probably knew what she was doing when riding due to her riding outfit came over to them. "Max wants everyone to meet in the lounge. If you head outside and go around to the back of the stable, there's a door that will take you to the lounge, " She said. With that, she walked off to go tell Maisie and the various other students as well.

"I just washed that!" Maisie said playfully, not really caring at all if her hair, or any part of her for that matter, got dirty while she was, well, at a stables of all places. She was about to shake her hair out of the horses reach, though, so he didn't like, start actually trying to eat her hair, when he didn't seem to think it was tasty anyway. "Sorry, it may look like spaghetti, but it isn't as good as spaghetti" she giggled. Every time he bobbed his head and ended up bumping into her, knocking her back slightly, she just giggled even more.

Then, a young girl came over to her and informed her that that Max wanted everyone to gather in the lounge for a meeting or something, and she gave a nod of her head, petting Spotty on the head. "Thank you for informing me of this. I appreciate it" She said to the girl, and she pet Spotty on the head again, stepping out of the stall and closing it. "Sorry boy, but I gotta go! See you later for my riding lesson!" She said, and with that, she headed off quickly and happily to the lounge room.

Kelly and Cara
"Well, it looks like we're heading to the lounge already" Kelly said, and she still had her arm around Cara's shoulders. She looked at Nicholas, who was told shortly later since he was nearby still, presumably, making sure he knew where they were going before completely abandoning him. She took her arm from around her sister, and waved her and her father to follow her, because she knew where she was going best out of her sister and her dad. They followed, and Cara said "I wonder what's up", but Kelly shrugged in response to her. "I guess we will find out shortly" She said. Not terribly long later they all arrived and headed inside.

"Well, guess we ought to head off to the lounge, it is getting a bit past noon or so isn't it?" Preston tried to guess based off the placement of the sun, but his skills at doing so were not too amazing. "Hope Paladin doesn't mind me leaving him out in the pasture for now." He glanced back at the general direction of his horse through whatever separated them. Outside the horse was resting against the fence post and generally being content.

Makayla wasn't quite sure how Preston got the idea that it was noon, and if she had known how he was trying to figure that out, she would have wondered how he could possibly base it off the placement of the sun when they were inside a stable. Under a roof. Instead she just pulled back her sleeve to look at her watch and said,"It's 9:29. My first lesson here starts in like an hour and a half." She pulled her sleeve back into place and said,"Why would he mind? It's not like you can be with him 24/7, and if I was a horse, I would much rather be in a pasture then cooped up in a stall." With that, she headed out of the stable and headed around back, where the lounge was. "I guess this is it," She said nervously, heading for the door. She hoped it wasn't actually like, somewhere she wasn't supposed to be or something. Heading in, it was pretty obvious that it was a lounge. There was a table, a fridge, counters with various snacks on them, a couple of couches a fireplace and a TV. "Cool," Makayla said, then, realizing that there was other people there, immediately fell silent.

In the room already was Slater, who was eating a sandwich, Drake, who was sprawled out on one of the couches with a pack of ice held to his left leg, Bianca, who was just standing there looking like a jerk, Molly, who was sitting on the back of one of the couches swinging her legs, and a couple others. Lillian walked in shortly after they did, heading over to grab a soda.

Nicholas watched the girl and her friend headed off. He had half-listened to their conversation, and knew what was expected of him. Having no interest in traveling with anyone on the journey to the lounge, he glanced back down into the colt's stall. If only for a moment, Nicholas wondered what it must be like to have a stall as one's default living condition. Such conditions were likely not so strange for a horse, of course, but Nicholas had to wonder if a horse were to be trained in such a way that they would be most comfortable in a house could adapt to living in an environment that a horse would normally live in. Dropping the string of thought abruptly on the grounds that it was trivial at best, Nicholas headed into the lounge after the other riders.

A little later, Leo walked into the lounge, having heard that everyone had been called into the lounge. He used a hurried gait, and wrung his hands together as his eyes glanced about. His manner, not unlike that of a neurotic author, might have given away his true identity of an oft overworked college student. To Leo, any time at the stable not spent around Catarina was time lost, but he supposed that if the stable's owner wanted to see everyone then he had best attend the meeting. Still, the sudden sense of being pressed for time irked Leo to no end.

"Hello! So much for an hour later!" Maisie ran up to Slater, giggling at what she had said. She ran up to him because he was the main person that she knew here so far, and he was going to be the one giving her the riding lesson and all, as well. So she wanted to get to know him better and make friends with him. Though, really, she could easily already consider him to be a friend. She did that easily. But true friends took longer than that.

In the spirit of her silliness, she said "That sandwich looks delicious!", and then snagged it (or attempted to), but because it was a sandwich, she would give it back to him fairly quickly so she didn't like, completely deconstruct his sandwich and destroy it.

Kelly
"Go make some friends" Kelly said, pushing Cara towards the crowd of people gently, and then heading towards the refrigerator. She grabbed a soda, and popped it open, sipping at it slowly. Most of the time, she avoided drinking sodas, because she found them way too sugary and she tried to keep sugar out of her diet almost at all times, but today was one of those days where she spoiled herself. And she rode so much, keeping herself in shape, she would probably ride off all the sugars today alone. She looked around the room, looking for someone to randomly talk to, and that person ended up being Leo.

"Hello" Kelly said to Leo, tipping her cowboy hat at him slightly and smiling shyly, then sipping her soda. Apparently, everyone she was talking to today was male, despite stables tending to have a bigger population of girls than boys so it was much more likely that she would have a girl be someone she randomly talked to, not a boy. It was like she specifically chose boys to talk to or something...

Or maybe she was thinking wrongly about herself, and she needed to get her head straight and stop thinking silly things like that.

Cara
While Cara and Kelly's dad just sort of wandered, uncertain about what to do to pass the time, Cara had done exactly what her sister suggested. She was a little shy, like her older sister seemed to be, at least with smiling considering otherwise she didn't exactly give off the impression of being shy, but she wasn't terribly so. She just always found herself having a hard time fitting in properly at first, until she found a few select good friends to always hang out with. That was how it ended up at school. It took her forever to feel like she fit in properly, but once she found a perfect group of friends, school had become much more fun.

And then she moved away from her friends, though they hadn't moved terribly far away so it wasn't particularly very hard to meet up with them. But sadly, her school was different, so she couldn't go to school with them anymore. Now she would have to work on fitting in all over again, and she sort of dreaded it. And that was fitting into two places at that.

The worst part of it all, though, is that her first choice of person to talk to was probably the worst option that she could pick of people to talk to in the entire stable.

"Hello" Cara said faintly shyly to Bianca. "I am new here. I'm guessing you've been here a while?" She tried desperately to find some way to start out a conversation with this person, but felt that she wasn't particularly off to the greatest start ever.

When someone spoke to her, Bianca looked the person up and down. "Yes," Bianca said in reply to the question,"Not that I needed to be to be best in this school. If you ask me, this school is overrated, but Daddy won't pay for me to go anywhere else," She said,"Not that this school is bad, it's just, why can't I get into one of those rich riding schools where everything is clean and professional?"

(Slater)
"Hi," Slater said, sounding kind of distant. This was because she had just interrupted his spacing out just staring at the wall. When she tried to steal his sandwhich, his reflexes were whip-quick, and before she could grab it, he had his hand up out of her reach, grinning. "My sandwich," He said, making a clearly fake mad face.

For a second Maisie was wondering if something was bothering Slater, and she looked concerned, but then she realized that he seemed to just be the spacy type, and she had probably just interrupted him from one of those moments. Probably the type that could daydream about entire new worlds in their head, which she had always wished she could do better than she can. Either way, if that was the case, she found it awesome.

"But I'm hungry!" Maisie jokingly complained, because obviously she could quit being lazy and just go grab herself her own food. In fact, getting her own would probably be easier than struggling like she was right now. "Pweeeeeaaase? It looks delicious!" She gave a fake pouty face.

Cara
It didn't take Cara long to decide that talking to this girl was probably a mistake, because she seemed....not very polite. And egotistical. Since she seemed to think she was the best, she actually started smiling a bit. "If you're the best here, you should challenge my sister. I want to see if you are truly the best. I'm sure she'd take you up on the offer. She doesn't like bragging but if she gets the opportunity to prove someone wrong, she'll take it" She smirked, because she truly believed that her sister was probably better than this egotistical girl, just because she had an ego.

"Everything being clean? In a stables? Why do you care if a stables is clean. That seems silly to me. But suit yourself" Cara gave off a shrug.

After everyone chatted for a bit, Max and Mrs.Reg came in. "Hello," Max said, to get everyone's attention. Assuming he did, he went on,"Firstly, I want to welcome all the new riders who have arrived today and just recently in general," He said, his gaze falling on all the new people. "As I would assume you guys know, Easter is tomorrow. As some of you may also know, we have an event planned for it. For those of you who don't know, tomorrow, after church is out, we plan on having a horse-back Easter-egg hunt in the forest and around the school. Riders of all skill levels are free to join. Slater, I figure it's time to give you a little break. If you want, you can join the hunt tomorrow, Mom and I will take care of hiding the eggs. For any of you who don't want to join the hunt, we would love some help with the egg hiding, but it's not necessary for you to help us." He looked around the group,"That's all I wanted to inform you of. If you have any questions, as Mom," He gestured at Mrs.Reg. "Enjoy your day," He said, turning and heading out. Mrs.Reg stayed to answer any questions.

Everyone turned their attention towards Mrs. Reg and Max, and Maisie for some reason instantly assumed Mrs. Reg was awesome, and she wasn't sure way. Cara didn't really think about that, and Kelly already knew that she was awesome, at least briefly.

Then they began speaking up, and everyone listened. Maisie smiled and looked like she was about to burst with energy when Max welcomed all of the new people to the stables, obviously happy to be here. She wanted to say something about it but didn't want to interrupt him, so she remained silent, but continued to look really happy. And then, there was the mention of Easter, and an after church stables Easter egg hunt, and she practically squealed in excitement. That was definitely something she would join in on, if she could get to the point of being able to ride good enough for it by then. She assumed she would, but she couldn't be certain. She turned to Slater and smiled brightly.

"I want to go! I hope I can ride good enough by then!" Maisie said, bursting with excitement, but then she realized something, and turned back to Mrs. Reg after Max had left, and raised her hand. "Can we have teammates?" She asked her curiously, glancing at Slater when she asked the question.

Kelly
Kelly listened quietly, but smiled when he mentioned the Egg hunt ride, though she wasn't that big into that whole thing. However, she could definitely tell Maisie was. It obviously wasn't just something she grew out of or something, because Maisie only looked like she was 1 or 2 years younger then her, it was just different people got tired of certain things sooner then others. She doubted that Maisie in a years time would suddenly lose interest in Easter Egg hunting. But she herself wasn't really interested in many Holidays anymore. Halloween was good here and there, but even that she lost most of her interest in. Christmas was definitely her favorite Holiday still, and sometimes the 4th of July. Valentine's Day was okay, and maybe if she had a boyfriend it would be better, but it wasn't a favorite, that was for sure.

So when Max said anyone who didn't want to join could help, she raised her hand. "I'll help with hiding the eggs" She said. However, even though she didn't really like finding them anymore, hiding them could be fun, especially when she knew she was hiding them for little kids, or people younger then her who were much more enthusiastic about it then her. Which of course wasn't entirely the case here, since plenty of people here were older then her. There was something that appealed to her when a little kid, or even a kid only 3, 4 years younger then her, finding an egg she felt that she hid really well, or even when they found an easy one. The look of enthusiasm on their face and happiness when finding an egg always brought a smile to her face. Little kids always amused her, though she could only hang out with a bunch of little kids for so long.

Cara
Cara, meanwhile, didn't really do much of note in response to the whole thing, but she was definitely interested in the hunt, like Maisie was. Though, the fact her sister didn't seem interested disappointed her a little, because she was hoping to have her sister as a teammate. And Maisie beat her to asking the question if teams were even allowed, so she just remained silent, but looked happy, and excited.

And Maisie beat her to asking the question if teams were even allowed, so she just remained silent, but looked happy, and excited.

"If you can sit in a horse, you can ride good enough," Slater, who clearly knew about this already, said to Maisie. He seemed excited, even though he didn't really show it. He was excited for two reasons. One, he actually got to participate as well as get a break, two, he was a child at heart, and still enjoyed egg hunts.

Mrs.Reg looked at Maisie when she asked the question. "Well, I don't think that would be very fair. Not everyone can get a teammate as easily as Slater can," She said the last part teasingly, and Slater grinned. "There's no rules against helping each other out, though. It might be good for the beginner riders to have some assistance. Max, busy as he is, forgot to mention that there will be prizes. You can get a prizes for the most eggs, and there are some special Prize Eggs, which if you find them you get prizes for them, as well. So it's kind of a competition, but it's more just about having fun. The eggs will be hidden well, so riding well won't really help you. What will is sharp eyes," She explained, looking over at Kelly,"You sure? There's never a bad time to act like a kid," She said, smiling wisely.

(Drake)
Drake was interested in this egg hunt thing. He didn't show it much, and honestly it kind of made him sad, but he wanted to do it. He and his family would always do big egg hunts in the forest outside of their house, no matter how old they were. It never mattered to them that some of them were in their 20s. They were the type of family that consisted of a bunch of kids in the form of teenagers and adults. Not literally, obviously, but if you were to explain the majority of the Dracone family, that's probably the best way to do it.

(Makayla)
Makayla was quite interested in this egg hunt. She always enjoyed hunting for eggs. She looked over at Preston,"Are you going to join the egg hunt?" She asked, wringing her hands together,"I hope I can manage to do it OK."

"Oh, hello." Leo greeted the girl who had approached him. He had seen her somewhere before, around the stables. As he opened his mouth to ask her name, though, the stable's owner calling for attention stopped the words from leaving his throat. The announcement was no surprise to Leo. The stable had done similar events before, if his memory served him well. He had not participated in any so far, but maybe this egg hunt could be a first for him. He would be able to be with Catarina and maybe even spend a little time with the others at the stable as well. Of course, he would probably have to leave soon after the hunt to study back at his apartment, but the activity would be fun while it lasted.

Nicholas listened with silent indifference as Max went over the plans for tomorrow. He had been aware that the next day would be Easter Sunday, but Nicholas had come to view the holiday with only fascination at how bizarre what it supposedly commemorated was. The idea of painting eggs, hiding them, and then looking for them seemed an odd tradition for a day on which a man was supposedly resurrected from the dead. Nicholas, however, was not one for analysis of ancient myths, so he supposed that it was not his place to judge how others celebrated. It was not as though he was mandated to participate after all. Then again, maybe he would have liked to. Going on a scavenger hunt for technicolor hard-boiled eggs while on horseback could not be such a trying task after all. He spotted several people going up to volunteer to help hide eggs, and, not wanting to deprive anyone of the experience, refrained from approaching the group.

"Goodie!" Maisie said while practically hopping in place in excitement. "I can't wait to participate!" She said excitedly . "Well, hopefully I can sit on a horse anyway! I guess we'll find out soon!" She giggled while smiling brightly.

When Ms. Reg said that wouldn't be very fair, Maisie nodded her head in agreement, that making complete sense to her. She let out a laugh when she said that not everyone could get a teammate as easily as Slater, but at the same time she felt a little embarrassed for some reason, as if that was a bit of a joke about how Slater already got the new girl wanting him to be her teammate on the first day. But that was just because that was how she was, instantly making friends with people. Honestly, despite barely knowing Slater, she was already acting like a bratty little sister to him, And she was loving it, because she was loving just having someone she considered a friend already. And as far as she could tell, he thought of her as a friend, as well. When Mrs. Reg explained about the prizes, she listened in silence, but smiled enthusiastically in response once she was done. "Prizes! Woo! I can't wait to get one!" She giggled again, because she wasn't sure if she would actually get a prize, but she was being fake overly confident that she would win, and she couldn't be serious about it.

Kelly
Kelly nodded her head. "Yeah, I'm sure. I prefer to help other kids and teenagers with stuff like this then participating myself" She said to Mrs. Reg. "No big deal, really. Guess it's just how I am, maturing faster then most people, so things like this don't interest me all that much anymore" She said, going over to Mrs. Reg to indicate that she was going to help them hide the eggs, not participate.

"Besides, I have been told I am an expert when it comes to hiding eggs" Kelly said with a shy smile, and she chuckled slightly.

"Speaking of sitting on saddles, we should probably get to your lesson," Slater said, looking at his watch. It was basically time for her lesson. "Unless you have more questions for Mrs.Reg, we can go now, if you want," He said, finishing off his sandwich.

Mrs.Red smiled at Maisie being all excited about getting prizes, then looked at Kelly."Alright, if you're sure," She said, laughing at what Kelly said about being an expert when it comes to hiding eggs.

"You're all going down!" Molly said jokingly,"Bear and I will find every egg there is! Or, you know, squash them all under his giant feet,"She giggled.

"Oh! It's time already? Boy, does time fly by! Which sucks! I don't want my lesson to end so quickly!" Maisie giggled. smiling brightly. When he asked if she had any more questions for Mrs. Reg, before he even had much time to finish, she said, "Nope! I'm ready to go!", and started putting her helmet on her head, and putting her riding gloves on.

Maisie giggled at the little girls enthusiasm. She was thinking her and the girl who looked about 10 could get along well. "We'll see about that, little girl!" She said in fake over confidence, and she couldn't help but giggle once again.

Kelly
"I'm sure" Kelly said, nodding her head slightly. She smiled at all the people who were so enthusiastic about this event, and laughed when Maisie and Molly began having like, a fake battle of who would win, and also what appeared to be a battle of who was more enthusiastic, energetic, happy, and hyper. It was funny watching them, and it brought a smile to her face. Especially Maisie's enthusiasm at her first lesson. Beyond that, she apparently just stood there, or something.
