At the tail end of the Cold War, the nations of the world were discarding much of their former Armed Forces such as Men and Weapons. With few options left at their disposal many of these men would seek to use their former skills for employment. During this lucrative business opportunity, two soldiers: Wikus White and Gerald Stevenson met in a busy hotel one day in London. Realizing their opportunity for personal fortune the former South African Sniper and a former SAS operative created Black Cross. Although they had many potential employees they lacked investment and Corporate Managing. So they turned to an American Weapons Designer named Daniel Montgomery, a former head of the R&D Department at Lockheed-Martin, for help in capital investment. Daniel Montgomery realizing that if they merged their two companies that would provide them an unique advantage of not having to rely on others for Vehicle Design. The two companies merged under the direction of Montgomery, where he brutally sought contracts in the War on Drugs in Mexico providing security to VIPs and became "friends" with politicians on the hill. Black Cross first made a name for itself on the highly press covered riot at a meeting containing many prominent CEOs and Politicians. A radical far leftist group planned to storm the area itself using mediocre equipment but with ease Black Cross not only protected its occupants but detained many for the local authorities to handle.
During the War on Terror created by President Bush, Black Cross provided simple base security and VIP protection but many PMCs provided the same. It became difficult for Black Cross to compete as it soon became apparent of wide spread corruption inside the company. Also despite the best his leadership in the previous years Montgomery was becoming more and more reckless. He was frequently spotted with strange woman and fast cars. The Manufacturing Sector of the company was suffering from the Depression of '08 and many were being laid off. Wikus White realized what had to be done. On the verge of Bankruptcy, Montgomery died under mysterious circumstances from a care crash on Christmas Day 2013 and Wikus White assumed responsibility. Turning to his home continent for employment he orchestrated a brilliant idea to not only save his company but let it grow. Islamic Rebels had orchestrated a Coup in Kenya and many American Corporations were being kicked out or fear of attack. Thus a mixture on Companies and the remnants of the military asked for support deposing of the regime. In a highly unpredicted act, 5 unmarked freighters launched an all out attack from the sea at Mombasa as the Military attacked from the land. Caught completely unprepared from SCUD missile attacks from the freighters and Little Bird Strafing Runs the initial defenses gave out. Speed Boats were immediately deployed from the Freighters and the Mercenaries secured key sights. From Ethiopia, the Companies funded large Civilian Airlines to be used for paratrooping. With help from the military, Mombassa fell and with that the resistance quickly gave out. For reparations the Kenyan Government paid for all expenses and aloud a Contract for twenty years that would allow Black Cross to operate installations for training and actually allow them to work with the government to be essentially another military lest another Islamic Attack Would Come.
The period between 2014 to 2022 has been a golden age for the company as it now expands it sphere of influence. Wikus White retired as head CEO for more time to spend with his wife, but he was replaced by former 75th Ranger Regiment Veteran Steven Weston. Under Steve Weston it has ruthlessly sought government contracts and has offered given the company less expenses as it move most of its manufacturing sector from the United States to Kenya where the government offered them a steady stream of cheap labor. Black Cross newest branch: Digital Protection is growing at a healthy clip and productivity in its Manufacturing Sector is growing at remarkable pace. It currently employs 20,000 actual Defense Contractors but this number does not include others actual workers, logistics, Digital Security, and Corporate. The company went public on 2016 which at first seemed to be immobile in a way but skyrocketed after the passing of the UN Resolution. Black Cross is a house hold name in many European and American Nations as it offers an area for youthful Veterans a place where can use their skills to their advantage. But there has been controversy as many Conspiracy Theorists have named Black Cross as the army of the NWO or they plan to enslave us through martial law as seen here.OOC: Instead of Blackwater, Black Cross

Detroit, Disputed Territory

The mass line of people went on for miles without end. People from all different classes, ethnicities, and ages waited to cross the military checkpoint. The sound babies crying and young mothers caring for them was heard throughout the air along with the small of Sweat and Blood. If anyone had enough education they would have noticed that the soldiers located at the Checkpoint where wearing different fatigues and body armor that was a new found symbol to the Seed. But in any case all of them just wanted to leave the city before the fighting started.
"Identification on hand and where I can see it. Failure to show proper Identification will bring along without it heavy consequences." the man on the PA shouted on the top of the high wall that separated those who made it through and those still waiting. The Man on the PA looked down at his before him as they screened every man, woman, and child. Their faces where mixed with some displaying a grim, stoic face and those who looked desperate. The heat was getting to him and he desired a drink so he naturally walked down the wall and made his way to his Humvee and got his canteen. Along the way, he noticed a woman shouting as her husband and child where being taken away.
"Please it must be a mistake. Please spare my child. Please have mercy" she pegged as her face turned red and her eyes filled with tears as they were thrown against a wall. The Commander walked towards the three soldiers who had pulled them away and asked what was the meaning of it.
A Sergeant who appeared to be of Hispanic Ancestry answered the question, " Sir, her ID identified her as a Libertarian. Thus she is not part of the new America."
"Aye, I see. Thank you for explaining yourself". The Commander scratched his head and got back to work. The family hugged each other as and each told each other that everything was going to be alright. The three soldiers all positioned themselves in a straight line and the Hispanic barked an order. "Ready"
The soldiers all extended their Assault rifles at the family. "Aim" was the next order and each of the them aimed their Iron Sights on each of the family member's skull.
"It is going to be alright, I love you both." The man told his family and gave each of them a kiss.
"Fire"
Outside Detroit, 75th Ranger Regiment, Free America Forces
"General Barkley wants the immediate surrender of all forces currently in the city of Detroit" the man on the radio ordered to all men currently under his command. The Lav-25 roared across the once vibrant Suburbia and was now approaching the Urban Center. Lt. Brent Goldstein in charge of two squads tasked to secure the City Hall known by radio charter as "Nexus Point" was feeling uneasy about the mission. He was not sure that the Rogue Forces located inside the city would simply surrender and felt that this could turn ugly real bad quickly. Goldstein looked at his men as they were talking about the events of the past two days.
"I heard Ryan was dead" Private Martin said as he adjusted his helmet.
"No you got it all wrong, Ryan is alive but what we are watching is a good old fashioned coup." A Sergeant replied
Goldstein leaned over toward the driver and asked about how much longer. "5 minutes"
"Okay remember everyone" Goldstein addressed his squad, "The two Lavs will be propositioned in front of the city hall and then we rush in and shut down the Colonel who is currently operating from there. Do not fire upon unless you are attacked". The LAV came to a screeching halt when a convoy of about three Humvees and a Blackhawk came into view from the turn. Goldstein exited from the back and his men followed quickly behind. A man in a Columbian Uniform came out and asked who side they were on.
"We are all on the same side. This is still a UNITED America" Goldstein replied
"Answer the question" the man barked
"We are under the command of POTUS Andrew Ryan"
"Wrong answer" the man said as he shout his pistol at Goldstein. The bullet hit his armor but still knocked him down. Goldstein dazed and confused remained on the ground. Immediately the Columbian Soldiers fired on the LAVs and the .50 caliber bullets from the Humvees tore two American Soldiers into pieces. The Survivors fled behind the LAV as the LAV25 returned fire at the Humvee. The Humvee quickly blew and then the LAV turned its attention at the helo. The Helo was turning its axis to aim its Gatling gun but the LAV fired one round of depleted uranium at the Blackhawk. It swerved around and crashed into a side of a building. The American Infantryman climbed inside and radioed for immediate assistance.
"We are taking fire, need assistance"
The radio replied "Okay I can send a Quick Reaction Force consisting of Abrams, Strykers, and Apaches but we are reciveing reports of fighting all across Detroit. It will take time."
"What now" a Heavy Gunner shouted as he fired his SAW using the side of the Armored Vehicle for protection.
"We need to get Goldstein out of the kill zone, the Columbian Soldiers think he is dead but not for long" the acting Commander replied
"Okay but we got company" two Apaches appeared out of the sky and were rapidly descending towards them"

Ryan looked at his advisors "We have made a decision then". All shook their head showing their support. "Alright then we must call World Governments and plea for aid"

This isn't really an RP, more of a market for player created PMCs to attempt to thrive in the setting laid out. So you just create a company and bid on contracts and such, there is no IC.
