Brief Description of your nation's History: After the May revolution, The Rio de Plata Vice-royalty gained independence and formed The United Provinces of the River Plate. Initial struggles within the government and lack of representation of every province led to the breakup of the republic and the formation of various city-states. Due to constant struggles between each state anarchy and war was quite often, however eventually three states proved themselves to be the strongest by 1850. The Argentine Confederation, The Kingdom of Buenos Aries and the Riograndense Republic which had managed to survive. As time went on these powers begin to have disputes over territory and begin to have a certain dislike for each other till the point of supporting each other's enemies in war...which led to the failed attempt of the Argentine Confederation to take over Chile. Ten years passed by and the Buenos Aries protocol formed a Union between The Argentine Confederation and The Kingdom of Buenos Aries, after The Argentine confederation had gone broke after a third war with Chile. As the 1870's rolled in The Argentine Empire as it was renamed begin expanding south into Patagonia (eventually reaching the Pacific). 1910 a coup in Riograndense forced the Argentine Empire to intervene, but seeing this the appropriate time the then King of Argentina Juan Alles annexed it into The Argentine Empire and renamed it to the United Kingdoms of Rio De Plata. During the 30's Rio de plata's neutrality helped boom the economy as beef prices skyrocketed in Europe. However not wanting to rely on beef for the man export, Juan's successor begin to modernize the kingdom and created pro-Capitalistic policies, that led to lots of investment and immigration. The 50's came in and a somewhat crazy king ascended the throne and begin encouraging population growth. Rio de plata intervened in Chile in 1972 and then again 1978 and after that South America was relatively stable.
