Confused by Pitch's statement, Thunder Flare shouted out over the rushing of the wind, "One! I ain't one a' the monarchists. An', two! I ain't even heard a' 'the goddess' 'till today!" Throwing his fourteen point two wingpower into full force, Thunder Flare found it was moderately easy to maintain a fair distance between himself and the knife-levitating insane ghoul. Gaining elevation with every flap, every push, Thunder flare attempted to bait Pitch as high as he could. Higher and higher the combatants went, ever nearing the cloud cover above. Until, finally, Thunder Flare leveled out for no more than a second, and dove forward, bypassing Pitch. Like greased lightning, the amber and azure pegasus pony plummeted towards the ground below, Pitch now hot on his tail. "C'mon, let's see how well that thing heavy winged contraption a' yers stops", Thunder whispered to himself as the ground scenery grew ever larger in his view.
But, being a trickster himself, Pitch saw through Thunder's scheme. He stopped in place, hovering below the pegasus.
"Nice try, pal! But why don't you ask your alicorn friend about the 'goddess'? Go on, tell her; tell her everything I said about the shamed and pitiful Trixie, she calls a goddess." smirked Pitch.
But then noticing that he has a clear shot of Crossfire, Pitch grinned at Thunder. Hoping to kill two birds with one stone, Pitch sent a good chunk of his knives flying towards the Pegasus Mare, and sent the rest flying at Thunder.
