No, they say how the atoms bond; but if you know how they bond, then you can know how to "un-bond" them. Also, I already stated that I am downgrading the effectiveness of the weapon.

Think EVE Online and the scale of that. A Caldari Leviathan Titan is 18,056 meters long. That's 18 kilometers.

The WASC Mira initiated its "impact Shield" to protect against projectiles, and its "Solar Shield" to protect against high energy impacts (like would occur near a star). The fleet then dropped out of Slip Space.

OOC: The Solar Shield was not designed for combat, but rather for protection from the sun, when it needs to be extremely close to it.

OOC2: My fleet does have defensive combat shields, but this fleet is an fleet of old and outdated ships that were due to be decommissioned in a few weeks.

Actually I had no claim on the planet and was only using that systems asteroid belt to gather resources then move on.
