The Draconian Empire started out as a simple constitutional monarchy that developed into heavy fascism and began to incorporate radical racial policies that gradually developed over time. While the constitution still is in effect, the actual functionality of any constitutional monarchy has been gone for at least five hundred years. Now, the main goal of The Pure One is along the lines of racial purity, protection of the Draconian people and expansionist policies in the name of "living space".
The Empire's success is largely attributed to enhanced laser technology developed about two hundred years ago. Mining what has been named "Drakonite" (Drakmiln), this purple-pinkish crystal has been used to create enhanced laser rifles and other weaponry based of high-speed lasers that penetrate most armor up to 40% more than similar weapons due to extreme temperatures. Neighboring independent planets are usually unprepared compared to the typical Draconian Infantry. Also, each Infantryman receives a titanium sword, while higher ranks can be equipped with much stronger sabers.
Draconian spacecraft are very much oriented towards speed, fast attacks. Overwhelming the enemy in quick flashes of force with "Light Assault Ships" is the first stage of a typical invasion, followed by large Flagships that combat the remaining enemies and capture the enemy target. Flagships are very heavily armored, equipped with multiple heavy cannons, anti-spacecraft targeting systems and "Puureiidyor" (Purifier) Bombs, which target settlements on enemy planets and destroy them, alluding to their racial purity doctrines.
The Empire's settlement program consists of three main stages. First and foremost, invasion and occupation. The planet, after being defeated and forced to surrender, the local settlements that are still intact are placed under heavy military occupation, and the leadership is destroyed. Occupation weeds out the rebellious locals, usually ending with crushing any guerrillas, army remnants or liberation campaigns. This leads to Extraction and Purification. Almost always, this results in majority of the native species being systematically killed, with about 25% of the local population being taken back deeper into the Empire enslaved. Death camps are orchestrated by the Kleyindyor Truupyin (Cleanser Troops), and can effectively eradicate a populace in one year. Lastly, the end phase is Draconian Population. The Empire offers land sales for rather cheap, which quickly can pop up towns, cities, even entire provinces in a few years, allowing the Draconian race to become the dominant, if not only race to occupy the planet.
