Chile was itself unstable during this time, however i see Chile allying with Peru-Bolivia to stop Argentine expansion.
Ouu "The Patagonia war" I mean since betrayal was common and in RL Bolivia having mixed feeling about Argentina it's quite possible the two might settle their difference...at least for a while.
