Belgium is a British ally, and it treasures it's neutrality. Attacking a nation isn't really positive, especially when the attacker is some not-so-major power like the Dutch.

Since when? I don't recall we ever went to war with Canada...

Queen Anne's War: American colonists invade French Canada. They lose. Later, Brits give us guns and a few hundred thousand troops, and we win (see 7-years-war)

American Revolution: Two attempts at taking over the populated part of Canada...both failed miserably with many casualties.

War of 1812: (see American Revolution)

Queen Anne's War: False. The Canadian-French launched the initial raids, planned all the attacks, and were repulsed several times besides. Besides,at the time, thee Americans didn't exist as an independent political entity of any kind. It was after that the British, not the Americans (as they were not a legitimate political entity at the time), may I add, but the British who retaliated, and lost. So, if America "lost," then Canada "lost" really badly.

American revolution: Canada won here.

War of 1812: This was a stalemate, and they did manage to burn down Toronto. The Canadians launched a counter attack down, WITH BRITISH SUPPORT, and were repulsed. Only several maritime landings in the Washington area allowed for the burning of Washington DC, by BRITISH troops. Canada did not win.

I shall attack Svalbard then. The Swedes are attacking mainland Norway anyway.

I am historically allied with Belgium, and have been for a while.

Also, European countries did not look kindly on breaking treaties, which by the way, the Netherlands signed that guarantee independence.

Also, Netherlands, I would recommend not sending soldiers to somewhere like Svalbard or Argentina, when 25,000 British soldiers are knocking on your doorstep.

Thus, the Netherlands is left to sit there, and wait.

He was going to help you. Considering I stated I would attack the Netherlands first, THEN attack you, that doesn't seem like a wise choice.
