Hey everyone welcome to the Mass Effect Factions RP! You will be able to play as any major faction throughout the Mass effect games we will go into the factions that you can be more later. This RP will be set in the time immediately following the beginning of ME2. So for this RP we will say that the council was sacrificed causing tensions between Humans and other council races. The Thorian is still alive and overran Feros. Rachni queen is still alive and hiding out. Also Wrex succeeded in uniting the Krogan.
Side note- if anyone is from the first Mass effect factions by The Empire of Elerian all of your people will be given back so you don't need to restart.

Each faction will start with a specified number of credits that they can use to make ships, units and so on. You gain credits every so often so you can further your military and such. There are a number of ways to increase the number of credits you gain such as building certain structures among other things that I will specify later. You can make a small independent faction (i.e. Pirates, Mercs, etc.) or you can choose from the factions already present in the game.

The Factions Include:
Cannon factions:
Human Alliance (Brotherhood Steel the 2nd)
Asari Republics (Greater Istanistan)
Turian Hierarchy (Archangelskl)
Batarian Hegemony (Elerian)
Salarian Union (Graknopia)
Krogan Empire (Kenzer)
Quarian Protectorate (Neema)
Volus Protectorate (Volus Protectorate)
Hanar and Drell Primacy (Kargos)
Elcor Courts (Rephesus)
Omega (Black Death 27)
Vorcha
Rachni (Lunas Legion)
Geth (Lanowitz)
Heretics
Yagh
Collectors (Versail)
Ouroboros[Cerberus] (luna but you can still app for this faction)
independent factions:No more independents
Independant Coalition of Biotics(Illan)
Crimson Imperium (Elerian)
Sierra Foundation (Eridanus 3)
New Haven Republic(Oseamar)
Warbands of Irok (Ralnis)
The Mandate(Creataris)
The Omerita crime family(Rygondria)
The knighthood of order(Shark isle)

Pros/Cons of factions
Human Alliance

Asari Republics (Greater Istanistan)
Specials: Advanced economics-Advancing in there economy rapidly, the amount of credits received is raised from industrial buildings by 15%
Advanced commandos- Asari commando squads are some of the best in the galaxy, now upgraded with high quality weapons with light armor automatically.

Disadvantage: No trained military: this is the case for most Asari, they rely on guerrilla type tactics but lack extensively in the area of defense.

Turian Hierarchy (Archangelskl)
Special: Elitist Society- Because of the intense training that the soldiers go threw any new ground units trained must also have decent weapons and armor to compliment their skill. All new units receive high quality weapons and medium armor.
Tactically Minded- Able to place 3 free lvl. 1 space stations on any of their planets.

Disadvantages: Expensive Care- Because of your military doctrine ground forces require you to pay double to train and maintain your units.

Batarian Hegemony

Salarian Union (Yonwood)
Special: Legion of one- The Salarians are able to know one faction's movements for one month once per month
Technical Brilliance- All Salarian Ships are equipped with Enhanced Guardian systems.

Disadvantage: Squishy Skeletons- All Salarians are made of mostly cartiladge so they are far less effective in combat than other races.

Krogan Empire (Kenzer)
Con- Genophage- because of this bio weapon, krogan must pay and extra 50% on all ground units and upgrades.

Pro-powerhouse-all krogan infantry start with medium armor and medium quality weapons.
Mercenary relations -because of ties to blood pack, the krogan receive an extra 5 credits every month.

Quarian Protectorate (Neema)
Special: Pilgrimage- Once per month the Quarians receive either a free frigate or an extra 10 credits in revenue
System mooching-When in a civilized system the Quarians receive an extra 10 Credits per month.

Disadvantages: Weak fighters- While this is not the case for many some many Quarians are not able to fight effectively because of their fragile suits. Decreased tactical advantage.

Volus Protectorate (Volus Protectorate)
Pros-credit creator-because of your excellent economy you are able to produce and extra 15 credits just for the good prices on the markets. (Once you upgrade a world to the 85 credit limit you may add another 15 credits making it 100 credits max per world.)
A friendship to last- receive 10 credits for every ship built for turian hierarchy.
Pro- limited growth you have a limit of 75 terraforming operations.

Con-soft suits- ground troops practically useless. All begain with low quality weapons and armor and can not be upgraded.
Cons-evro suits- your suits make ground combat very unlikely and almost impossible. -unable to build anything above militia in the infantry section.
Only a select few- only a small amount of worlds can support your people. Must pay 100 credits for every world you expand to.

Hanar and Drell Primacy (Kargos)
Pros:Biotic supremacy ( units have nearly ridiculous amounts of attack)
Drell Pro (being very agile, drell are very hard to hit and can do thier attacks swiftly, resulting in an overall more powerful unit then most infantry)
Hanar Pro: (having good skills in technology and biotics, all economic buildings[such as mines] produce 5% more credits for every 100 Hanar count [ max= 40% {800+ Hanar count})
Cons: Racial upkeep(due two (heh) the two different races, all things cost 1/2 more credits than usual)
Drell con (due to the fact that the racial count of drell is few...and very sparsed out, they cost an extra 1/2 credits to receive infantry
Hanar con: due to the obvious fact that hanar have "no hands", they're only form of attack is through biotics, meaning that they are generally weak and vulnerable to attack.

Sierra Foundation (Eridanus 3)
Disadvantages:
Pay Up- Forced to pay an extra sum to pay troops. -15 credits a month.
Government Owned Corporation: Aside from mining facilities, the company can’t build any economic structures. Those mining facilities produce 50% less than normal facilities.

Special:
The Paragon Way: Diplomatic Opportunity increases positive relations with other groups, and breaks all units away from combat that can do so. (Once per 2 months)
Black Ops Group: Maintains a steady rate of income from the Citadel coffers. +35 credits a month.

Elcor Courts

Omega (Black Death 27)
Special: Unlikely Guardian- Because of Omega's immense superstructure it is considered a lvl. 4 Defensive Station.
Useful scum- Omega is able to purchase Pirate units (Militia brigades) with no build times.

Disadvantages: Criminal takeover- Omega is constantly beset by criminals who wish to take over the station. Because of this lots of Omega's property is constantly being vandalized or destroyed. -10 Monthly Credits

Vorcha
Pros-The Vorcha breed rapidly and can adapt to any environment, they also are great fighters and pillage or scavenged anything in their sight.
+10 divisions
+1 frigate and 10 credits (monthly)

Cons-The Vorcha are considered vermin and have very little resources
Horrible reputation
Often become slaves
-10 credits (monthly)

Rachni (Lunas Legion)
Special: Insect Hives- The Rachni are able to repopulate rapidly once per month and because of this it can rapidly build a new infantry brigade free of cost.
Hive Mind- Because of there being no need for communication buoys they are more efficient. +5 Credits Monthly

Disadvantages: Ignorant- Believeing they can overcome any enemy the Rachni dont build Defensive strustures (i.e. Space stations, etc.)

Geth (Kinistian)
Specials: The Machine Legion- When Geth train units, they cost half the Credit price. (due to having to feed them, wash them, etc.)
Weapon Masters- Each Geth unit is equipped with High Quality Weapons.

Disadvantage: Unit.exe has stopped working- Geth units, being Synthetics are highly effected by tech attacks.

Collectors

Cerberus
Specials: Limitless resources- Due to having near infinite resources Cerberus has money for most anything. +15 Credits Monthly
Advanced Equipment- All soldier units come with Medium quality weapons.

Disadvantages: Xenophobia- Cerberus is hated by most everyone so this causes most NPCs to attempt to kill any known Cerberus vessels or units.

Warbands of Irok (Ralnis)
Low-scale Cyber Defenses: Due to the War-bands' soldiers being cyborgs, then they are vulnerable to tech attacks that cause the implants to short-circuit

Coils of Mortality: Basically exchanging their bodies for overwhelming power, the implants will cause Warband forces( land forces) to die after 5 months and must be replaced.

Ruinous Powers: Having developed overwhelming Biotic power that increase the combat skills of Warband forces.

Relations of Darker Places: Thanks to the ties the Vorcha have with their own people and those in the Blood Packs allows them to gain a random land unit, a frigate, or +10 credits a month

Independent Coalition of Biotics (Illan)
Specials:
Biotic Battling: Due to your biotic style of fighting, you get slightly increased attack and defense capabilities for units.
Friendly Connections: Due to your connections with the Turian, Human, Asari, and other groups, you get an extra 10 Credits every month.

Disadvantages:
Biotic Based Training: Due to being focused on biotic attack styles, your units lack the training in the more technical fields. Less effectiveness with regular weaponry.

Crimson Imperium (Elerian)
Pros:
Element Zero Corporation- Jerick's Corporation supplies him with a stead amount of money. +20 Credits monthly.
Revolutionaries- The Imperium has more and more followers everyday. +2 Militia Divisions monthly
Con:
Radical Ideals- All Council Governments hate the Imperium because the Imperium in turn hates them

New Haven Republic

The Mandate

The Omerita crime family

The knighthood of order

Division VI
Untraceable- No matter what you do no one can trace your credits or where you receive them.
Hastatim marine- turian hierarchy has granted some of the best Hastatim marines.
Turian funded-20 credits from the hierarchy every month.

No recruitment- cannot create ground units. You must pay an extra 50% in order for the hierarchy to create your ground units.

Brief descrApp
The Athame Doctrine is an asari religion founded on the worship of the goddess Athame. In ancient times, Athame was a goddess of prophecy and fate, and the matriarch of the asari pantheon. Athame's worship gradually changed, becoming the basis for a monotheistic religion in which her maiden, matron, and matriarch aspects oversaw all stages and roles in asari society. When an asari says "by the goddess," they are referring to Athame. Worship of Athame eventually fell out of favor as the asari turned to the siari religion

Well after Leviathan it was pointed out that the Collectors freed were actually a happy sight when soldiers saw them
as these were beings who are the vengeance of a dead race.
I feel as if I could use them well.
Or is there a Leviathan faction?

Realy slow and not much to do because they can't realy be seen in public withou starting a war hah

Well after Leviathan it was pointed out that the Collectors freed were actually a happy sight when soldiers saw them
as these were beings who are the vengeance of a dead race.
I feel as if I could use them well.
Or is there a Leviathan faction?

Make one but you be labeled as an independent with low credits due to being so disconnected from the galaxy. 125 credits
We'll Bang, OK?

Faction: The Leviathans
Leader (You decide): None
Citadel Council member Y/N or N/A: N/A
Spectre: (Only for Council members): N/A
Brief description of diplomatic relations, military state of readiness, history & location if custom organization: They do not have any relations with anyone and are regarded as a myth to most. They see through the universe with 'windows' or artifacts scattered across planets that allow them to see events unfold.
Military (ships, infantry, etc.):
While not being able to fight themselves the few left can Indoctrinate people and even reapers through these artifacts all over the galaxy. The Artifacts can be moved to front lines or behind enemy lines so the Leviathans can cause chaos.

I CAN BE THE COLLECTORS? Must...resist....temptation...
Above even The Boss
Feel free to contact me about any fantasy, sci-fi, or otherwise futuristic RPs, especially those involving aliens or other non-humans, especially if it is an original universe/idea. I also enjoy Mass Effect, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, and many other things that transit to roleplays.
