Is your 'Normandy' must be in Europe? How come Asia Minor and the Greco-Roman world is involved in this? Two generations, Normans and Romans, are far to meet each other.

According to those of whom I should revoke their colonies it needs to be taught from the Anatolians. Also, your theory is a no.

You could have a system, where for example it appears in Egypt in 1180 BC historically, around that time period the Egyptian players have access to it so on and so forth.
I'm speaking about iron here.

You see, the celts were the ones that settled and the celts were from relatively the same time period. And if thats the case how is there religion other than animalists/ barbarian religions or pagans when its far back in the BC's? So technically the pantheon wasn't built yet (?)

Well I don't think we should have made colonies in freaking Spain but revoking them would be weird... So, may I suggest that the "Sea People" rise and make our lifes difficult? Which means that travelling there would be harder and all that jazz

Name of Civilization: Normandy
Location:Image
Specialty (warfare, farming, trade, etc):Warfare
Nomad or Settled: Settled
History: A few Celt settlers from Southern France came and founded a settlement near the coast due to its serenity and abundant stocks of fish. There were plenty of rocks , which they found in the sides of mountains which , could be made into various tools. These soon replaced the wood weapons that the celts used before and proved to be more efficient, durable and helped a lot during hunting expeditions. A chieftain rounded up all the other local tribes and in a meeting which lasted 2 nights, they founded a small kingdom, a kingdom which they called Normandy.
Culture: The Celtic origin in Normandy is seen everywhere. Small villages dot the countryside instead of cave dwellings. Their iron weapons helped them take over a lot of the neighbouring tribes. Iron has really helped the Celts develop a militaristic ideology and the young are eager to fight. Most are religious and worship the hellenistic gods, giving a sacrifice before going into battles. Every town, hamlet or city has its own seer and the celts take their words very seriously. The celts have used boats for quite a while but ships have never been their strong point.
The celts worship Oak Trees (For Some Odd REASON) which i call "OAKIANISM" who would like to convert?

Eh, I'm really not trying to claim an unfair advantage, just be realistic. The reason iron-working developed in central Anatolia was because of the rich iron deposits in the region and the difficulty of importing tin from as far away as Iberia, making bronze manufacture untenable. The technology spread due to the near destruction of the Hittites and disruption of tin trade routes in the Med by the migration of the Sea Peoples who came from the Crimea.

Historically, in this day and age, bronze is king. Iron is weaker, harder to get, and less useful. I'm using it as it was used historically; as a supplement to bronze, a weaker armor for less-trained soldiers. The only reason everyone has a problem with me claiming iron as rather Anatolian specific [which, I should note, only refers in my mind to the bloomery smelting process- using meteoric iron was well known throughout the ancient world] is because we all OOCly know that iron will become very useful in approximately two thousand years.

That strikes me as metagaming, as I'm using iron in it's historical context, where it is plentiful, for valid IC reasons. Those who have a problem with this seen to want it for OOC reasons, to my mind.

Eh, the Phoenicians IRL had colonies in Gibraltar by 1200 IRL, significant city-colonies. I don't think I've been stretching my historical sailing range, just being a bit expansive within it.
