[Nuridia]

Marie called softly through the door again. "John, it's Marie." "Aurelia's mother, I'd like to talk to you for a bit." "Someone asked me to make sure you were alright, are you okay?" "Should I call a doctor?" Raphael was in Aurelia's room with the door closed behind them, watching as she slept. He would be damned if another child was taken from him forever, he would take her to Heaven tomorrow and have her mind fixed once and for all. They could surely do something for her.

[Tomia]

Eric nodded to Marie and said "Thank you, that means a lot." After she left he sat down next to Salma to try to comfort her. He hated that she was blaming herself for this. "It's not your fault trust me. Your the best thing that ever happened to me." Eric then thought about something else he needed to ask her. "Hey, do you think I could ask you for a favor? Could I crash on your couch tonight? I almost turned during the fight and I don't think I'll be able to handle staying in the same room as him right now."
John thought about Seth's offer. Eric was much stronger than him when he was a wolf and soon he might not be able to stop him. John was about to answer when he heard a knock on the door. He recognized Marie's voice and was suprised. He got up and walked to the door and opened it. When he saw her he said "What do you want?"

[New Cinoth]

Seth sighed and whispered in John's ear, making sure Marie couldn't hear, " She was sen by your brother..... Is e too good now to come over and do the talking himself?" Seth shook his head in disgust, "This behavior can only lead to a downward spiral. I say you put Eric back in his place before he tried to be completely tell rid of you."

[Nuridia]

Eric nodded to Marie and said "Thank you, that means a lot." After she left he sat down next to Salma to try to comfort her. He hated that she was blaming herself for this. Marie smiled kindly at John. "My husband sent me." "Raph wanted to make sure you were alright, said he was getting some nasty vibes from this room and asked me to check it out since he's taking care of Aurelia." "She's really sick at the moment, you know nasty headache." "You know John, when people are pissed off they do crazy things sometimes." "We just want to make sure that doesn't happen."

[Tomia]

John listened to both the people talking to him and realized Seth made a good point. "My brother asked you to talk to me didn't he? He isn't man enough to speak to me himself." Then he remebered something Marie said and his anger subsided slightly. "Aurelia is sick? Is she going to be ok?" He said with concern showing in his voice. He had grown a small crush on Aurelia but didn't tell anyone except Eric. He wondered if Eric might have told them, he doubted though. He may have been a jerk but he was still his brother.

[Nuridia]

"Eric didn't ask me to tell you anything or send you any messages for him." "And Raphael was picking up vibes from this place, he was worried about it." Marie insisted without a hint of nervousness. It was the truth, Eric hadn't asked her to deliver a message or talk to John about anything. And her husband was uneasy about the deal going on. "Yeah, Raphael's really worried about her." "Said he might have to take her to heaven and have her examined so he and her uncles can fix whatever's going on but she should be alright." "It's not like she's going to die or anything but she isn't well."

[New Cinoth]

Seth frowned, Not when I am this close. I want his one... "She isn't sick, precisely. She asked me to change her memory and she can't be reminded of the blocked memory." He whispered in John's ear , keeping out of sight. "The official story is that she is sickos we can make sure everything worked out well. I'll explain later about what memory." I can practically taste it!

[Tomia]

Eric sat in Salma's dorm with her and Raphael wondering how it was going with John. "I hope John doesn't do anything stupid. He can be a real idiot sometimes." He said to Salma. "So is it cool if I stay here tonight? I don't want to bother you or anything but I don't want to lose control again. I'm pissed at John but I don't want to kill him."
"Nothing's going on here. Seth and I were just talking about how much of a selfish jackass my brother is. I hope she is ok." He was very concerned about her but was angry at his brother as well. He wondered what Seth was talking about but figured it wasn't the time to ask. He would ask later.

[Nuridia]

Salma nodded. "There's a pullout bed on the couch, but you might wanna go take a shower first." "Aurelia would flip if you got blood on her couch." Marie looked at Seth desperately. "I know you like to collect souls, but John has a family." "He has a brother who cares about him, despite their rather heated argument I know they're still brothers. Please don't ruin that." her eyes said. "Falan was an enemy, he had nobody who cared for him and everyone loathed him. There are plenty of wayward souls you could take and I know quite a few places to find them! but for the love of decency spare John's." "I couldn't live with myself if I couldn't help him." She then spoke to John. "She's not all the way right in the head and she really does have a headache so technically, yes she is sick." "And her father is going to have her checked out."

"And I know you two are pissed off at one another, but think about it for a second." "Besides your parents, each other is all you have." "And I'm saying this for myself, I've been through this." "I had a cousin who I loved very much, almost like one of my sisters." "We were super close until we got into this stupid heated argument over a car and stopped speaking." "We didn't talk for a whole month until she went on a plane to Texas for a job interview." "She asked me for a farewell hug but I was too angry to give her one." Marie started to cry, this part was very painful and she didn't like thinking about it. "Hours later, I turned on my TV and watched the news. Her plane had crashed, everybody on board was killed including her." The redhead broke into full tears that second. "Boy do I regret not giving her that hug now!" "I'm gonna regret this forever, I'll never see her again and the last thing we did was fight." "I don't want that to be you."

[New Cinoth]

Seth grinned to himself, Wait this works out even better! Seth began to whisper again, "My magic is keeping her from breaking down right now because of something that happened . If she broke down the Aurelia you know would be gone." He paused, "But if you Croat this deal with me I can bolster the spell and make sure Aurelia stays the same carefree person that we all love. And best of all you would be responsible for saving her from having to be either completely erased or flee to Hell and into hiding. So not only can your brother back in line but you can save an angle's life , no her entire soul, something I 'm sure she will be most grateful for." He frowned as Marie began to cry, That might complicate things... " If you get the power Eric and you can go back to the way things were, without it he 'll keep pushing you around and your bitterness will rise until you hate each other, and I know you don't want that."

[Tomia]

Eric nodded and went to the bath room to clean himself up thinking about how screwed up this whole situation was.
John listened to Marie's story and felt sorry when she began to cry but he was still angry. "All I've ever done my whole life is look after the kid. I've sacrificed so much to protect him and he doesn't even notice. He doesn't understand how damgerous he is. He thinks his new girlfriend is the solution to his problem but trust me she's not." He turned to Seth. "What kind of deal are you talking about?"

[New Cinoth]

Now just the final touches. " I offer you paradise, strength, and the ability to be instrumental in helping save Aurelia." He grinned, "All I ask in return is for the energy to do so . And I get the energy from your soul." Seth sighed, Now here's the hard part. " You saw what Hell was like, a tropical paradise full of life and people enjoying themselves. It 'a not such a bad place." Seth sighed, "Not only that but do you want to risk Aurelia's entire soul? I need just a bit more and yours will be more than enough to make sure she is saved.... Everything you could ever want is in your grasp. You just have to reach out and take it. Before your brother decides to snatch it all away. Just think what would happen if Eric had another wolf episode and poor Aurelia got in the way. Without the power I 'm giving you you'd be beaten like last time , but with my help you could protect her and your brother, one out of duty and the other out of love." Oh please let my guess be right. It should..... His reaction when Aurelia was supposedly sick was genuine....

[Nuridia]

Marie, horrified and angry rushed back into Aurelia's dorm room and looked at Raphael with angry tears in her eyes. "Damn him!" she growled. Raphael looked puzzled as the couple went out to where Eric and Salma were. "Mimi, what's wrong?!" Raphael asked. "We should've NEVER trusted him Raph! It was a huge mistake!" Raphael was growing angry now. "What did he do?" "Eric, I couldn't stop John and Seth won't give up!" "He's gambling with our daughter's soul!" "He told John if the deal was struck, he could make sure Aurelia stays normal, but if he didn't she could become fallen!" Raphael wrapped a hand around the hilt of his sword. "Damn him!"

"How dare he gamble our child on this!" "Something must be done." The archangel went in the back room and gently put his daughter onto his back. "Raph, where are you going?!" "I'm going to take Aurelia to Heaven where she'll be safe!" "Her uncles will work on her and find a way to reverse the spell, but they won't mess with her head right away because we don't know what'll happen." Raphael opened a glowing white portal. "She'll stay here until everything blows over, we have to protect her." Marie nodded with tears in her eyes and Raphael carried Aurelia through the portal, coming back out of it alone about an hour later. The portal was sealed and Marie cried. "I told John the story about my cousin, and it didn't work!" "But that's your most painful memory." "I know, I thought I could help." Raphael sat down, comforting his wife and shaking with anger while Salma looked on with a mix of shock and anger, her body starting to hear up again when she heard about her friend, she was threatening to burst into flame again right next to Eric. "He was going to gamble with my friend's soul, and John's is still not safe!" she shouted out.

[Tomia]

Eric listened to what Marie and Raphael were saying and didn't like what he heard. He felt helpless and angry. He wanted to go and stop John but he would probably make it worse. Eric saw Salma was getting upset an knew he had to calm her. He took her and said in a soft voice "Hey hey, don't worry about it. Everything is going to be ok. Trust me it will all be fine."
"So what, I'd be your slave like that furry monster you hangout with?" John didn't want to sell his soul but Seth was making some very good points. Maybe this was the only way to protect the people he cared about.

[New Cinoth]

He saw Marie run off, I'm going to be in trouble now aren't I..... If only they could understand. I could make then see just how much I am helping their daughter. If I get his soul I can bolster the spell and make sure it won't be undone.Seth shook his head, "Not at all. I prefer to give people the freedom of choice, Falan included." He sighed, "Falan assists me because he wants even more power and so in return for favors I give him even more. Think of it like a rewards system." He glanced around, "I won't force anything on you that you don't want to do. You are completely free to, if something goes against your morals too much, to tell me to find someone else. Just don't make it a habit and we'll be fine." He chuckled at the last part, "So will you help me help you and Aurelia?"

[Tomia]

John listened to Seth's offer and was interested. He wanted to help Aurelia and knew he needed to be stronger than Eric. He was about to say yes when a voice appeared in his head. Do not do this. John recognized the booming powerful voice as his father's. Do not sell your soul. You must find another way to protect your brother and save your friend. John was so shocked by this he forgot his anger for a moment. His Dad almost never spoke to him no matter how much he prayed to him. John was never on the greatest terms with his father but if he had bothered to contact him about this it must be important. John started to rethink the idea. He knew Aurelia would be upset if John sold his soul and his parent's would be too. "I can't do it." He said to Seth. "I can't sell my soul, I won't do it. There has to be another way, I'll just have to figure it out." He got up and walked to the door "I need time to myself." He led Seth outside and closed the pot behind him wondering why his dad had contacted him and what might have happened if he didn't.

[New Cinoth]

Seth shrugged, "Oh well... If you ever reconsider just come and ask, although the amount of power can't be garunteed.... And it might be too late for Aurelia." He grinned, not terribly disappointed, "I'll have to go explain myself to the parents now, perhaps you could come along as a witness?" He sighed, I bet this will be interesting. "If you dot mid me asking, what changed your mind?"

[Nuridia]

Salma calmed down, slowly but surely at Eric's words. Marie sighed. "I sure hope they can fix her." "Now we can't do anything because now our daughter's at stake." "We can't risk Aurelia, even though we don't want John to lose his soul either." "He won't listen to anybody." When they saw Seth walk into the room, Rapahel was extremely angry and drew his sword. He pointed the blade in Seth's direction. "I can't believe you." he said, his voice low and dangerous. "I should've known better than to trust a demon, so I guess it's my fault." "I thought Aurelia was a friend of yours and now you gamble her soul too!" "Was helping us just a ploy so you could destroy her?! Give me one reason I shouldn't send you into oblivion right now!" Marie stood by her husband. "Wait Raph! If we kill him, something could happen to Aurelia." "He's the only one who knows how the spell works, maybe we can get him to reverse it." "Aurelia's safe for now, no dark magic can harm her where she is, so you can't cheat any more." the angel almost growled at Seth.

[Tomia]

Eric was glad when Salma started to calm down. He told her he was going to take a shower and took his stuff and went into the bath room. He looke in anirror and saw his nose looked like normal but it still hurt like hell. His face was mess with blood splattered across, some getting on his neck and his hair. He went into the shower trying to forget about everything that had happened.
John shook his head to Seth "I can't stand to be around Eric right now, besides if probably make it worse. When John heard Seth ask why he said no he said "My gut told me no." With that he said goodbye to Seth and sat on his bed thinking about what had happened.
Eric came out of the bathroom a little while later wearing fresh clothes and the blood washed off his face. He saw Seth and was filled with anger. "What did you do to my brother?" He asked him feeling his heart beat faster.

[New Cinoth]

Seth sighed, "I knew you'd misunderstand if you heard about it. I wasn't gambling her soul . I just said that she could undo it. If I had another soul I could make it much stronger and protect her better." He glared at Raphael, "Do you know what I did to help her get her child? Do you have any idea how much flak I'm going to get for that? I have been trying to help her without any sort of additional reward. I could have neglected to check your granddaughter and something might have been wrong and the child would bring her sorrow or it could have killed her if it was a demon! I saved your daughter from guilt and was working on making sure she stayed happy!" Seth was fuming, "I have been working to protect her since day one and you accuse me of this!? You have no right." Seth's eyes glowed a dark and sinister red, "And you, Eric, you nearly killed him and e feels you treated him like crap. I offered him strength. He didn't take it."

[Nuridia]

Raphael slowly lowered his sword. "I know all that. I'm a father, if you have children one day you'll understand." "I understand you did a lot to help us, but now my child's mental state is walking a tightrope and I didn't want anyone pushing it off." "I want to protect her, that's all I ever wanted and now I definitely can't risk her soul." "I was angry because I thought that's what you were doing." "John's soul must've been really strong if you were going to that length to try to get it." Salma looked at Eric. "He didn't take the deal, that's good."

[New Cinoth]

Seth nodded, "I was trying to help her by using the power I gained to bolster the spell to a point were she wouldn't be able to dig it up without help." He sighed , "By preventing it you put her soul at risk, not I. I was trying to protect her." Seth shook his head, "It's not that strong. I just need one to expand my own well. Think of it like expanding walls to a tank so I can fill it with more water. More souls mean more power, more power means I an protect your daughter more." Seth was still angry with Raphael but he seemed to be calming down.

[Tomia]

Eric felt a combination of anger and guilt when he heard Seth. He hadn't tried to hurt John and he didn't want to hurt him but was sick of him trying to control his life. "I never meant to hurt him." He said and then looked at Salma. "Ya, I'm suprised he said no. John is usually good at making stupid decisions." He said with bitterness in his voice. He was still angry at his brother.

[Nuridia]

Raphael sighed. "Well then if I was wrong I will apologize." "I had no idea of your deeper intentions, it just sounded like danger to my ears." "You have helped us considerably and we are grateful." Marie nodded. "But although we acknowledge you had good intentions, John has a family also." "Eric would've been destroyed if John sold his soul." "There are many other worse souls out there you could take without a second thought, many people would gladly sign theirs away." "But they also are free to do that because they have nobody to think about but themselves."

[New Cinoth]

Seth sighed, "Well you are and if it gets much worse he just might then next time I ask him. You are luck Marie decided to screw it up." He turned to Raphael, "I guess it's alright..... From now on I hope you realize that we are on the same team when it comes to your daughter. She made me a certain promise, and that is one that I certainly will see through." Seth nodded, "John knew full and well what he was doing. Part of the reason was for Aurelia, the other part was protecting himself and others from Eric's wolf." He paused, "If you happen to see anyone who does want to get rid of their soul refer them to me. I could use a few imps to gather contracts." He turned back to Eric, "You have trouble controlling yourself, right? Falan can change at will and control himself. Maybe he might teach you."
