Eric smiled at Salma and leaned closer to her "You're my favorite part of the party too. I can't believe I'm dancing with a girl as beautiful as you."
John was shocked by Asteria's response. He expected tears and anger but Asteria seemed so calm about it. He was very happy when she accepted him and smiled at her threat "It's a deal."
John saw Aurelia get upset and wondered what was wrong. The. He saw we mother lying on the ground and followed Aurelia as she ran over to her. "What happened?" He asked Raphael while putting an arm around Aurelia to try to comfort her. He saw Marcella standing nearby looking afraid and shocked. He wondered if she had something to do with Marie's illness.
Eric saw John and Aurelia run over to Marie over Salma's shoulder. He suddenly stopped and frowned "It looks like something happened to Marie. We should go help."

Seth grinned, he was having a wonderful time with Mira. This is certainly wonderful. She's so pretty it's like dancing with a ruby. He sighed happily. I'd certainly enjoy having a more than friendly relation if she was still okay with it. "Mira... I.." His focus suddenly shifted as he saw the scene unfolding with Raphael and Marie, "What the Hell is going on over there?" He stopped dancing and gestured to the small could, "I think something is going very bad very quickly over there." He shifted nervously, "I wonder what the problem is..... Shall we go see if we can help?"

Mira nodded and she raced over to Marie with Yulan. Raphael looked at his daughter and put a hand on her shoulder to comfort her, tears pouring from his own eyes. He looked very close to breaking down. Marcella turned to the as Raphael looked up and half-glared at her. "What's wrong with my wife, what did you do to her?!" he nearly growled. "I didn't do anything on purpose!" she called out. "Was the punch she drank in a silver cup with amethyst jewels?" Marie weakly nodded as Raphael held her closer. "Shit!" "I left my punch on the table to come back for it later, I didn't think anybody was going to drink it." "What punch Marci?" Salma asked her. Marcella spoke up. "It's a special punch for vampires, it's a blend of actual punch and different types of bloods." "It's extremely toxic for humans." "How long ago did she drink it?" "Seven minutes ago." Raphael rasped, still crying. Marcella sighed in relief. "Great, there's still time!" "Half an hour longer and it would've been absolutely fatal, she should be fine if we give her some herbs to vomit it up." "These punches usually have demon blood in them but mine doesn't because it'll corrupt a young inexperienced vampire."

"Good thing it wasn't my parents' goblets or else there would be no way we could've saved her." Raphael nearly blacked out after that, but had to be strong for his wife and child but seeing his wife like this made the angel break down completely in tears. "Oh good Lord, why?!" "Lord, please don't take her please." "I don't know what I'll do if I lose her." "Aurelia needs her mother, Asteria needs her grandma." Raphael choked back a sob. "And I need my mate." He gasped as her skin turned slightly colder. "She's starting to freeze, do something!" Michael was standing there in shock, seeing his level headed big brother lose all rational thought was scary. "You better pray she lives or else I'll fucking make you pay." Aurelia went to her father crying herself. "Dad, calm down." "It was an accident." Marcella stood up. "We carry the herbs in case of such emergencies, I'll go get them and make the potion while you get some water in her to dilute the blood, and lots of it." "We need to get it in her fast." Salma grabbed two goblets of water and one by one gave them to Marie to drink, Mira and Yulan went to go grab some as well while Marcella raced to her quarters to grab the herbs.

John was shocked when he heard what had happened to Marie and was angry at Marcella for being so careless. If something happened to Aurelia's mom he would take it out on her. He saw Aurelia start to cry and put his arm around her. He hated seeing her upset and wanted to comfort her. "It's okay Aurelia, she'll be fine I promise. None of us would let anything happen to her." John turned to Eric "Help Salma get some water quick." Eric nodded and ran back and forth taking as many glasses of water for Marie as he could.

Marcella had found the herbs and brewed up the potion quickly as she could, making sure that everything was in the right order. She felt horrible, she hadn't meant for any of this to happen. She had made a lot of it just to make sure they had enough. Marcella teleported back to the scene with the pitcher of steaming hot green potion. Marie wrinkled her nose at the smell as she drank the water. "It smells bad Raph...everything's so cloudy." "Mimi please, you have to drink it." "Please, just don't leave us." Raphael wept. "Alright." Llyr created a shield around them to protect the group from prying eyes as Marie drank down the potion. Almost immediately she vomited into the empty bin. Marcella gave her another glass. "We have to make sure it's all gone, I had to dilute it because vampire strength would cause you to vomit up your insides." Three glasses of potion later, Marie was nearly dizzy from all the vomiting she did. Raphael touched two fingers to his wife's heart and made Marie glow with a green light. "It's almost gone, just a bit more." he said in a shaky voice. One more glass and much vomiting later, Raphael checked Marie's spirit again and it was free of all the evil effects of the punch. He delivered a blast of invisible holy magic to her to kill off any corruption that may be left. Michael checked her and turned to the crowd. "Well, all the evil is gone." "No traces of the punch remain, although she may be very weak for a while because she had to empty her stomach." Marie was unconscious for a bit longer before blinking her eyes and coughing. "Raphy?" "Aura?" Raphael and Aurelia started crying with joy. Raphael pulled her into a hug. "Oh my sweet darling, I was so afraid that...that, oh lord." "I can't even say it, it's too awful to even think about." "I was so scared that we were going to lose you." Aurelia laughed in relief and wiped her tears. "I'm so glad you're okay Mommy." Marie smiled weakly and touched her husband's and daughter's faces. "Don't cry my loves, it's all better now right?" "I'm sorry I scared you so, please forgive me." Aurelia and Raphael hugged Marie at the same time, all three of them cried with relief. Marcella gave a small smile for the family. Aurelia smiled slightly and nodded to the vampire. "Thanks, for saving my mom." "Don't thank me, I was just cleaning up a mess I made." "Think of it as payment for the lesson she taught me about respect." Raphael looked at Marcella and didn't smile, but did give a small curt nod in acknowledgement.

"Oh I would love to.." Miranda grinned. "Where are they? I call dibs on the naughtiest clothing too."

"Put away in my room, we should get clothed before we head over though, probably a bunch of perverted guys waiting for their chance to get a peak," Selena said. Getting up she got her clothes back on she waited for Miranda to get her clothes on.

[New Cinoth]

Seth followed quickly after Mira to the scene and listened to what had happened, So a careless vampire poisoned Marie. How love As soon as Raphael started to pray he felt his insides churn, Great more of that.... he was about to offer his own magic to help slow the poison down when Marcella said she can make an antidote. Seth helped carry goblets of water back to Marie, unsure if Marie could hold out in time. Seth grinned when Marcella came back with the antidote. Well that was fast... Seth watched silently as Marie vomited, There's nothing I can do for her at this point.... Seth carefully stepped back and further from Raphael when he sent purifying energy into his wife. He looked from the family to Marcella, She's in some big trouble with Raphael.....

John was relieved when Marie was finally okay. He couldn't imagine what losing her would have done to Aurelia. He didn't even want to think about it. He looked at Marcella, he was still mad about how careless she had been but she seems very sincere about her apology and saved Marie so he decided to let it go. He stood back giving Aurelia and her parents some space. They were clearly shaken up by what happened and he figured they wanted a few moments alone.

Raphael comforted his daughter, held onto his wife and wept quietly. "Why? Why does everything happen to this family, why?" the angel asked in heartbroken whispers. "Earth has done nothing but tear this family apart, losing a son, almost losing my daughter and grandchild and very nearly losing the love of my life." "Aurelia, I don't think we can stay here." "What do you mean Dad?" "Look at all the incidents that have happened, I've almost lost you all several times, it's not safe here." "I wish that I could just take you all to Heaven right now, where we'll be safe and together." "Aurelia's been looking forward to it for a long time." "But I can't do that to her, now that she has found something special to bind her heart here." Raphael rasped, turning to John with a small sad smile, then Aurelia and back to Marie. "And we won't leave without our child." "I won't be selfish Aurelia, we'll stay for your sake." "Thank you...Daddy." Aurelia hugged the angel. "But, this day will make me more cautious of the dangers of the earth." "I just wish to protect you all from all of it, but unfortunately I can't." "Now I have to go take care of your mother, she needs rest." Marie then spoke up and smiled weakly. "Sorry about that guys, enjoy the rest of your night for me I'll be okay." Even after nearly dying she was still her cheery self. Raphael gently picked Marie up in his arms and teleported away.

"Oh I would love to.." Miranda grinned. "Where are they? I call dibs on the naughtiest clothing too."

She nodded and got dressed as well. "I could always kill them.. But wheres the fun in that?" She laughed. "Alright.. Let's go, I'm ready to see those outfits.."

As Raphael spoke John felt sorry for the angle. He was just trying to protect his family. John realized he was keeping him from doing that and felt terrible. He realized he was the only thing keeping Aurelia on earth and felt like a lot of pressure. He started to wonder if there was really a future for them, but pushed all those thoughts out of his mind. Aurelia was upset and probably having doubts and questions herself. He needed to be strong for her. When Raphael left he walked up to her and hugged her. "I'm sorry about your mom. I'm just glad she's okay. If you want to talk about anything... I'm here."

[New Cinoth]

Seth stepped back slightly, feeling like he was intruding on their family life, " Mira, perhaps we might want to go. They look like they need a moment." Seth looked back over the family and frowned. He would never admit it but he admired Raphael for his parenting. He certainly is quite the loving father figure. He backed up a little more as John comforted Aurelia. He waited patiently beside Mira, "Yeah, they need some space right now. They have been through a lot in the past month."

[Nuridia]

Mira nodded and gave the family a little space to calm down. Aurelia was extremely relieved that her mom would be alright but she was still shaken and turned to John. "Yeah, it was scary." "I almost lost my mom today, but I was even more scared for Daddy." "If anything happened to her, Dad would lose it." "He would literally go mentally insane, she's the most precious thing in the world to him." "He loves that woman more than his life, if Mom wasn't here anymore he'd lose the will to live." "You know angels, if their grief is great enough their wings turn black and then they fade, like really, they slowly disappear into nothing." "I'm just so happy she's okay, and she said enjoy your night." "Even after almost dying, she wants everyone else to have fun." Meanwhile upstairs, Marie was in bed, Raphael sat beside her holding her hand. "Raph?" "I'm sorry I made you worry love." "Don't apologize." He brushed back the curls from her face. "You never were good at taming your hair dear." He planted a kiss on his wife's forehead with reddened eyes, then rested on her chest as she wrapped her arms around him. "Love, please don't cry." she whispered. "You need to get your strength back, but I don't want to leave you." Raphael said, holding her tighter. After a while, he sighed and stood up. "Stay warm and don't move, I'll go down and get you something because you need to eat something after emptying your stomach like that." "I was so worried about you, it was just awful." The angel made sure she was comfortable before heading downstairs. "I'll be right back my love, hang tight."

[Tomia]

John saw Aurelia was still shaken and hugged her tighter "It's okay Aurelia, everything's going to be alright. I know how much you guys care for each other and I don't want you to lose anyone. I won't let anything happen to you, Asteria, or your parents. I'd die to protect all of you." He pulled away slightly "Well the good news is Asteria seems okay with our relationship. I'm glad she didn't get upset." He smiled to her hoping to cheer her up. He still felt very guilty about keeping Aurelia on earth when she and her parents wanted to leave, but he couldn't bring it up to her. He didn't want to upset her.

[New Cinoth]

Seth grinned at Mira, "It's good that they are okay now." A new song began to play and Seth started to dance with her. "Mira it's wonderful to be here with you." He was dancing much better than when he started, This is great to be here with Mira. He held Mira a little closer, enjoying the warmth that radiated off her. Seth was drawn to her eyes by the red that surrounded them, "Has anyone ever told you you have the most beautiful eyes?"

[Nuridia]

Mira smiled and blushed, tinting her moon like face. "Why thank you, has anybody told you you're the bravest and most confident guy they know?" Meanwhile, Aurelia spoke to John. "Well it is good she accepted it." Aurelia nodded. "Thanks John." Raphael meanwhile had taken some food up to his wife, starting with soup. "Okay love, try to get this down." Marie nodded and sat up, eating slowly so she wouldn't throw up again. "Thanks Raph, you're too good to me." "You'd do the same for me, we do things for the people we love." "Of course I'd do the same for you." Marie said. "Do you think we can go back down to the dance Raph?" "I don't know, after what just happened..." "Oh please?" she pleaded "After I'm better can we go?" Raphael was unsure but he sighed, he couldn't refuse her anything but at the same time he wouldn't risk her health. "Please Raph, I promise I'll be careful." "But, if it bothers you this much I'll stay in bed." The angel looked pained at first and thought about it for a while and then sighed, giving a small smile. "Alright then, but not until we are absolutely sure that you're better. Then and only then will we go back down if there's time, understand?" Marie nodded, satisfied with the compromise and thankful for her husband's health she kissed her husband on the cheek and he rested next to her when she got ready to fall asleep.

John nodded he was hoping she would start to feel better now that her mother was okay. Then a thought from earlier came to his mind. "You know Eric was telling me earlier that when we get back to New York he's going to bring Salma to meet my parents, and well I was thinking maybe I'd bring you an Asteria. I don't want to rush things or make you feel uncomfortable but since Eric is bringing Salma. I thought maybe you'd want to come too."
When the situation calmed down Eric turned to Salma "Do you want to finish our dance? I was really enjoying dancing with the most beautiful girl here."

[New Cinoth]

Seth ginned and blushed, "Thank you Mira. You 're too kind." Seth leaned forwards slightly before kissing her quickly and pulling back. A moment later Seth's eyes widened when e realized exactly what he did. He turned a bright red, "Oh.... Shit... Mira... I have no idea what possessed me to do that." He stared at her with a look of terror. This is bad.... This is very bad... He stammered, not sure if Mira would slap him or not, "Mira.. I'm so sorry. You are just so kind and beautiful. I couldn't really help myself..... I'm sorry."

[Nuridia]

Mira was bright red now, shocked and unable to speak. She wasn't angry...at least not yet. She was just extremely shocked while Yulan stood at the food counter with wide eyes, stopping her juice in mid-pour and nearly flooding her glass. Aurelia looked surprised that John wanted her to meet his parents, especially so quickly. "Well..it's a bit earlier than I expected but I guess I can meet them." "They sound like great people." Salma nodded to Eric. "Yeah, let's finish that dance." "I'm just glad Marie's alright, poor Aurelia and Raphael." "I felt really sad when I saw Raphael's reaction." "I've never seen such a strong person break down like that, he looked like somebody had twisted a knife in his heart." "It looked so sad, I was afraid he was going to kill Marci on the spot."

[Tomia]

John saw Aurelia's reaction and didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable. He thought it was soon himself but wanted to get her mind off her mother's illness. "If it's too soon I completely understand. I don't want to move too fast for either of us. I only asked because Eric was bringing Salma to meet them. If you want to wait it's fine. We don't even have to tell them we're dating if you don't want to."
Eric nodded to Salma "I know I felt bad for them. They seem to really care about each other. I hope they're alright." He took Salam's hand and walked to the dance floor and began to dance with her again.

[New Cinoth]

"I'm sorry...." Seth looked at her nervously, I bet she's pissed... I might have just ruined my chances with her. He bit the bottom of his lip, "Mira.... I'm so sorry... I shouldn't have some that." He sighed and stepped back slightly. This certainly isn't good. She's really quiet... I wonder how hard she's going to hit me. He watched her carefully, waiting for her to close her fists or the bulge of veins that would indicate extreme anger. Seth shifted nervously from foot to foot, waiting for some sort of reaction.

[Nuridia]

Aurelia nodded understandingly while Mira was slowly coming to, she still didn't know what to say. It had been her very first kiss and she hadn't expected it to be like that. "I...Well.." she choked out." "That was....unexpected." she said, not angry but surprised. About two hours later, Marie was feeling much better and she had eaten so she was stronger. She insisted that she was well enough to go downstairs for a while longer. "Well I did promise you a dance didn't I?" Raphael smiled. "And I promised you some...fun time after the ball." Marie smiled back. Raphael laughed and blushed slightly. "Did you? I had very nearly forgotten." "I didn't." "Are you sure you're well enough to go down Mimi?" "Raph, I feel fine and really rested." "Even for just one dance, we were going to retire early remember?" she smirked. "Besides, I don't want to miss the cake." The angel couldn't hold back a laugh and examined her. She checked out alright. "Okay then, we'll go back down for just a little longer." "But I'll fetch you your punch this time." " 'Kay Raph." He helped his wife up as she changed back into her gown and the two joined the others back downstairs.

Seth blew a sigh of relief when she didn't yell at him, "Yeah sorry about that... I just got a little carried away. You were there and so close.... And you were so nice." Seth grinned at her hopefully, She doesn't seem to pissed off about it! That's a very good sign. He turned slightly red, "That.... Was kinda my first kiss.... I know it was on the cheek and not really a proper kiss but I guess it still counts." He grinned at her, "So.... Ummmm...... Are you really mad at me for pulling that little stunt on you?"
