Yes, but a map this size would also tempt, and allow, players to expand too much. It would also take a lot of the focus off of the Peloponnesian War. And it would make Persia all that much more powerful, and add another overly-powerful nation: Egypt.
Persia would still be powerful, it just let's everybody see why...
Also, Egypt mostly off the map, and the Peloponnesian war would still be central; like a bucket of crabs, when one tries to climb out, the others pull em down.
