I'm working on compiling a world map of reservations, and I'm thinking of a solution.

I have some rough ideas;

1) France moves to provinces in Ghana, Sweden keeps current colony. (Italy needs to work something out, too.)
2) Sweden moves over to Ghana, France keeps colony.
3) Sweden moves to Sierra Leone + Liberia. France moves surrounding colonies (in compensation, because seriously I'd like to expand somewhere that isn't desert)
4) France let's go of the colony altogether and uses colonial power to colonize something else. NZ? Hawaii?

These all need Italy to come up with something with whoever owns the colony, though.

Don't forget that Hawaii pretty much started the Pacific war. Whoever controls Hawaii, and has western naval power, controls the Pacific. It's in such a position that it's perfect for a coaling station and, when airplanes are discovered if we ever get that far, an airbase.

Geacron is maps. A very good set of maps, but nonetheless, just maps; a visualisation of existing evidence by a single organization/person.

Indeed, but the fact that sources are required (seriously, I once made an unsourced edit and it got taken down within the hour, and this wasn't any famous page) makes it much better than many other things on the internet. And for things that are fact (e.g. France DID colonise here, or it didn't; you can't claim that this 5000km journey half-happened, really), like this, it's much more trustworthy IMO.

I personally use Geacron as something to get an idea, then I compare it to other maps of around the same period, note the discrepancies, and research them on Wikipedia, whose information I then use to research even wider across the internet, having an idea of the rough idea.
