I was thinking about starting a Peloponnesian War RP. Players would be able to play as any city-state in the Delian or Peloponnesian Leagues, or Persia. The players would all be on their respective teams and would be attempting to win the war for their side, or perhaps turn on their allies and try to unify Greece under their flag.

I'd love that.

Personally I prefer maps with borders, but I don't really care. Whatever people want is fine by me. I'll probably make the OOC some point tonight.

That map's really big though. I think if it were that big people would want to play as non-greek civs (other than Persia), and I'd rather keep it just to the Greeks (and Persia).

The Greeks dominated everything shown in the map; they settled the Crimea, Cyprus, Provence, most of southern Italy, parts of northern Africa, even Egypt and Rome were goals in sight for them.

Yes, but a map this size would also tempt, and allow, players to expand too much. It would also take a lot of the focus off of the Peloponnesian War. And it would make Persia all that much more powerful, and add another overly-powerful nation: Egypt.

Yes, but a map this size would also tempt, and allow, players to expand too much. It would also take a lot of the focus off of the Peloponnesian War. And it would make Persia all that much more powerful, and add another overly-powerful nation: Egypt.

I believe Egypt was a Persian vassal by then. Though I'd agree with keeping the focus on Greece and surroundings, as much as I'd love to play as the Scythian-Greeks and neighbours.
