The basic premise of the RP is that the world, in 1628, is somewhat in an era of prosperity; or so much that it was. Steampunk and Clockwork technology are the main sources of power for the world; both in the domestic and military sense. Domestically, factories chug out products using machinery which in our timeline was not discovered until the late 18th century. This lead to a large stale-mate between the Great Powers, and war has been uncommon. However, tensions have been rising recently. While it looks like the world will remain at peace, no one can be sure. Though, there is one thing everyone is sure of, the world has definitely changed. New Powers have risen, and old ones have fallen.
So, what do you think? Good idea? Bad idea? Bit of both?
If you think it's good enough, I'll get an OOC up as soon as possible. (I will probably reserve an Alternate British Empire, of course)

Steampunk, though there would be almost FT aspects, but mainly just to fill in 'gaps' that would occur in the history and such if we only used steampunk.Alleniana wrote::/
