I am planning to launch a war against the international slave trade, which was certainly among the worst evils of this period in history. My ultimate goal is to attack European slave trade vessels and slave stations along the coast of West Africa, but I will probably begin by raiding the slave traders of the nearby Crimean Tatars, who have captured and sold some Tatrans into slavery in the Ottoman Empire. Who will join me?

Hi Eaglleia, would care to join me in a crusade against the instituton of slavery? After my forces defeat the Crimean Tatar slave traders encampment, we are going to launch a surprise attack on the slave markets in Bakhchisaray, the capital of the Crimean Khanate. Then we will build ships to battle the Barbary Pirates in the Mediterranean and the West European slave traders along the coast of West Africa.
The High Tatras wrote:Does anyone mind if I spend the loot that we find in Bakhchisaray to hire Robert Fulton so he can design steam warships for us that can sail against the wind? Napoleon Bonaparte already turned him down, and he needs someone to do business with.

So basically, Josef is allowed to play with advanced technology in the secret laboratory in his castle, but none of his experiments can yield any usable results? In that case, I guess I'll just have to live with "wooden ships and iron men".

Ironclads weren't developed for about 3/4 of a century more, so yeah. Even for smaller steam warships, at least 1815.

Not sure 'bout that map claim, but otherwise accepted. I'll leave that part to Lance/Belavakia.

Certainly. Though if they're prepared, and you only charge with cavalry, some square formations will lead to a massacre of your men.
