This demon once roamed this plain of existence eons ago, bringing shadow and chaos where ever it may go. It preyed upon the people and land, feeding off the chaos it caused. This went on for centuries until the demon was finally cast out into Oblivion, a dark plain of existence. Yaoquai amplifies and augments the Shadowmancery of Yin Xia; extending his power over shadow manipulation including reach and density; manifest shadow beasts to do his bidding; engulf and infiltrate another being with his manipulative shadow, disintegrate or drain life from what his shadow may touch, dissipate his form to move in shadows. Yaoquai also grants Yin Xia the ability to communicate with beings of the Oblivion and wondering spirits; allows Yin Xia to pass through Oblivion(teleport); extended life through absorption of life force and feed off chaos.

Bio:Hundreds of years ago, as a small boy, Yin Xia grew up in a feudal kingdom in a land of chaotic warfare. His family was slaughtered in a conflict between neighboring kingdoms and thus was abandoned with his younger sister. The two wondered the countryside to hide from the chaos. It was at this time Yin Xia fell into an ancient well and came in contact with his innate ability to manipulate shadow around him thanks to qi magic that allowed him to rise from the well and save himself. Seeing this event, a sage master of Qi Magic brought the two children under his care and aided Yin Xia to perfect his use of qi magic; showing focus in Yin of Qi Magic or darkness, shadow, and the such. This was a matter the sage master desperately tried to balance, the light and the dark in Yin Xia. Unfortunately, the boy became consumed with darkness in his heart when his sister was brutalized by soldiers of a growing ruthless kingdom in the region. In revenge, he utilized his powers, especially those relating to dark qi, to terrorize the kingdom until it was itself destroyed. His anger only grew and grew as he lost control of himself and wrought destruction on the land. The sage master challenged the young man to end his reign of terror. The two fought and Yin Xia was defeated, his physical body destroyed and his spiritual being thrown into the Void/Oblivion. It was here as he was fading into nothingness he came in contact with Yaoquai, who was pleased watching Yin Xia. Yaoquai, who had been cast into Oblivion centuries previous, saw the chance to reenter the world. He offered the young man a contract, in exchange for offering him the way back into the physical world and providing great stores of power, Yin Xia must be willing to host Yaoquai as a leech onto his soul in the world again. Allow the demon to feed off of his soul until it is no more and Yaoquai may assume control of Yin Xia’s body. Yin Xia agreed eagerly and was remanifested into the real world again (Yaoquai could not support bringing his own form back to the real world and thus had to shed it and leech on Yin Xia.) Yin Xia found himself in the new world again but the time that passed was far greater than he believed. Time in Oblivion did not pass like in the real world. Yin Xia rejoined the world a few centuries after his death. Distraught he learned his sister passed. He became an aloof wanderer that sought nothing more than personal pleasures and fun from the mischievous antics. He found though he was being drained by Yaoquai. Yin Xia did not want death, he had fought hard to prevent it and the freedom he had now was liberating he found happiness in his empty existence. He had faced death and did not want to do it again. He feed the leech Yaoquai the chaos he spread and participated in; such as wars, politics, death, natural disasters, riots, and so on. By this he extended his own life thanks to the attributes he was gaining from Yaoquai; a flaw in the demons own plan.
Today, Yin Xia spends his days still an aloof wanderer. Using his time to party, cause mischief, and entertain himself. Unfortunately he has been feeling the draining effects of Yaoquai on him. It was time again to spread chaos into the world for the sake of himself. A College of Magi, young learners with raw powers, seems the place to go.
Personality:At first look a Play Boy. Under the skin, Yin Xia is a worldly man, pragmatic, and realistic. His terrifying brush with death and the darkness that continuously consumes his life has brought him to enjoy personal pleasurable pursuits such as drinking, partying, sex, and anything else he can have fun with as well as bring color into his life(e.g. the color in his hair, his makeup, and the parties). His experiences through his long life have sapped him of his optimism, but gives him insight to what he sees happening around him. He is aloof to emotional attachments. He does not value them highly as they will only die soon enough, making them enough to use them for his owns ends. He is a trickster, a manipulator, and an agent of chaos. So he holds little regard to laws and rules because he 99% of the time can dissipate and not be caught. He takes no sides though. He fights for no one side; good or evil, right or wrong, benevolent or ambitious. He has learned in the end this does not matter. He instead uses these extremes to work to his own devices.
Faults: Selfish. Not trusting. He seeks personal fun and pleasures over responsibilities. Although he has great stores of power thanks to Yaoquai, they eventually do take its toll on his physical and mental well being, requiring him to go into meditation or lose control of himself.
Anything else of note:Yin Xia can often be seen with his spirit creature friends that represent his qi magic. They are the only true friends in the world he has. They swim in the air around him, often circling him. They act as his eyes and ears if need be and often go on without detection because of their lack of physical form. They came to him to feed off of the life energy that he absorbs. They aid him by bringing energy to him as well. Each has its own mind and personality.
Yin Xia can also be often times seen with a dark wispy aura of shadow around his body. This is because of the fact that Yin Xia's own physical form is also an illusion, solid shadow, created by Yaoquai due to Yin Xia's original form having been destroyed centuries ago. This becomes prominent when he grows weaker and his physical form begins to stabilize and when he dissipates into shadow to move unnoticed.

Thank you, and yes I did notice. Azaflaza sent me over to see if I could bring a little life back into it.
*Edit*
I hope the character makes enough sense. I've not done high fantasy in a while.

It seems fine, though because you charecter is so old he may have been around during the first Magi war. That may be rather important for later on in the plot.
