Name: Lycantrophes
Culture: The first Lycantrophes were normal Humans, who, during the first Magi War, were hit by a Spell, transforming them into still sentient predator animals, the wolf dominating, to serve as war machines for one of the evil magi, trying to rule the world. After the War, some tried to put them down, but many died while trying, so they were left alone, since there was no danger coming from them, having lost their master, who died in the War. But then a lone Druid showed up. He heard from the misery of these creatures and was ready to help them. He showed them a way to master their abilities. Now, they are capable of controlling, when they transform. They live now in a unmapped corner of the World, since no mapper dared to disturb these people, who still were called beasts around the world. They found a way back to normal life and, while still remaining isolated from the rest of the world, have even found a new spirituality. Most pray to their goddess, Sheina, goddess of the moon. Some of them, even if only a few, are capable to wield magic. People think that this ability is a gift from the goddess and thus act ther mages, praying to her at least once a day. Additionally, most lycanthrophe mages are druids, in remembrance of the old Druid, who helped them as they needed him most.
Appearance: (A short sentence description will do) Most of the time human, sometimes in their animal form. Forms range from Wolf to all types of predator cats, even foxes or predator birds are possible. However, they have a remarkable characteristic most people besides of them don't know about. They can see at night as if it was day and thus have shing yellow eyes at night.
Special abilities: Able to transform into their individual animal form and to see at night as if it was full daylight.
Relations with other races: Very instable. In regards to being hunted first, they are a bit unfriendly to other races, with the exception of elves, since the lone druid was one and they were the only ones not hunting them.
Anything else of note: Some have pointed ears, but not that much. They all wear a small metal half-moon amulet around their neck, the holy Symbol of Sheina.

Depends, If you choose the trial by combat you could be fighting anything.

The other Trials a little more varied, you just have to come up with a discovery or invention.

The mission, also could be almost anything.

Name: Elementals

Culture: Each elemental lives in a elemental plane, while there is some form of contact between each elemental plane, those tend to be more on trade and business than anything else. Each elemental thinks in regard of its natural element which causes them to have a rather alien way of thinking that would make a human who thinks the same way as either emotionally cold and distant, mentally insane, or out of touch with reality.

Appearance: An element in humanoid form, humanoid as in they have arms, legs, and a head, anything else, such as two heads, is considered a physical variation.

Special abilities: Each elemental have an inherent ability to manipulate their natural element.

Relations with other races: Separated from other races on other planes of existence, they are rather socially isolationist and prefer to be left with their own devices. Individually, however, they range between cautious to friendly. They find being summoned, or called upon, as a 'use/call of services rendered', in the closest human term for it. They would see other elementals as 'business associates' while they see non-elementals as 'possible consumers'.

Anything else of note: Some find Markus as an 'adoptive sibling' while others find him as a 'new recruit/courier'.

You can more or less join a faction or stay neutral and infighting will occur somewhere along the line that sucks everyone into it.
