Her anger bubbled like never before and she screamed causing electricity to surge around her and increase with intensity. Then it blew up killing the other kids but leaving Jessie unharmed. When she woke she found herself in a strange room whith her aunt by her side. She was told who she was and her aunt revealed she too had magic. She was believed dead in the real world so she had to start school at the Mage college early. She quickly rose through the ranks and is now very powerful.
Faults: Still struggles to contain her powers at times of extreme emotion, usually anger, and she gets very angry often.

1. Lighting manipulation is used by the sorcerer/ess class, so just add that to the class section.
2. This is PT/steampunk, so there arent any cars. There are however trains.
3. Your character is still a student(For now), keep that in mind.
Otherwise, seems fine.

Anyhow, you have to either find a willing person, or a vagrant or criminal. And last but not least, the mage must be very strong willed, so they can control the demon.

Yeah, Just noticed that...But there could be a reasonable explanation without twisting the plot I have in mind and who the murderer actually is.
