They can shut down Fed ships that long. Not 17 kilometer Star Defenders and Super Star Destroyers designed to suffer Hyper Space Storms. There is a big difference.

I meant smaller ships like your cruisers could be taken down by it.

Well, given how shields of the Federation and Dominion are built to fly extremely close to stars (With plasma discharge)
So probably not as effective as other ships, but it will still damage them

This doesn't seem to have linear time
Like for example the Federation didn't field more than one Defiant class till after the dominion was past its height, which is when my ships are from
