Also, on a separate note: I have finally started my first FoE Fanfic, which I intend to finish. It's called Fallout Equestria: Raiders Rising. It will follow Dark Heart's journey from being an inexperienced Raider Warlord, to his fall from grace, and his "rebirth" as leader of the Jackals. It'll also cover Crossfire's story as well as Utopia's, and bit's and pieces of the other characters stories. Pitch will also be there, along with Bounty and Dusty.

Chapter one is almost done.

Nice, luna; I'm liking it so far. I might just throw my hat in the ring there once I get my Mac back at the end of the month.

In the meantime; to fill the gap in my spare time left by the disappearance of Fral; shall we plan ahead some? On my end I intend to rebuild the city one district at a time, starting with the Upper Class district, of course. Depending on the status of the Governor's residence; I might even work on converting that into a proper Castle. Beyond this, there's Project HARMONY, which I still won't spoil. Still; during their reconstruction of the Upper Class District, I also had plans for them stumbling across the residence of a successful pre-war philosopher-general, retired at the time of the Great War, though still highly respectable as a soldier and strategist. There they'd find a book written in the style of Sun Tzu's Art of War, which would eventually lead to the formation of advanced Military Doctrines and the establishment of the new Monarchy's Elite forces, The Cavaliers.

As for Crossfire, while I purposely haven't had her actively seeking the role thus far; it seems very likely she'll have great influence over the state, if not as Monarch, then very much in the same way Otto Von Bismark had greater influence over the Kingdom of Prussia and late German Empire.

Im thinking that Marci will help a little bit with the new government, like she did with the NCR way back when. But after Crossfire's show of how she doesnt trust Alicorns, Marci likely wont help as much as she might have.

The way I intend for the whole thing to be structured reflects my Real-Life ideas for a Monarchy embracing the ideals of enlightenment while retaining the elements which make a Monarchy vastly superior to a representative system (in my opinion, anyway); as such I will elaborate:

First and foremost, regarding the Government and roles within. The head of state is, obviously, one individual; who holds a vast majority of the power as opposed to Absolute power. Such limitations can be seen in the sense that the Monarch will not be able to use funds from the National Treasury for personal gain, nor are they permitted to promote Middle Class Citizens to Upper Class or appoint Generals and Cabinet members based on anything other than Merit.

While the Monarch still retains a vast majority of the power, and the right to use their authority in foreign and domestic affairs; abuse of such authority and breaking the restrictions established by the comparably lenient Constitution will permit the Nobility to form a Tribunal which will then impeach the Monarch for their abuse of power, and subsequently lead to the appointment of a new Head of State.

While not officially existent; the Nobility can form a de-facto Parliament in the event a Ruler is rendered incapable of carrying out their duties, remaining in place until such a time as the Monarch recovers, or a new one is chosen to replace the former ruler. As it is a Meritocratic Society, in which the Ruling Body may promote a Middle Class Citizen to a position of Nobility as a reward for great service to the country and Citizenry; the Nobility is expected to elect one from their own ranks to replace the Ruler in the event he/she is killed, incapacitated, or impeached for abuse of power.

Now on to society and the class system;

First I'll start with the class System; I'll be blunt in that I consider anyone who isn't a Landowner or in possession of great prestige among the populace to be Lower Class, regardless of Economic Status. However; as it requires greater wealth to own and maintain land, it can be regarded as a means to an end in climbing the social ladder.

The Middle Classes are Landowners who, while in possession of land, do not have any greater prestige to make them worthy of recognition and, subsequently, promotion by the Monarch. Prestige can come in the form of distinguished Military Service or acts of great Kindness and benefit to the Majority. When one has attained enough Prestige and owns land; they may then become eligible for a title of Nobility.

Finally; the Upper Classes are composed of those few who have worked long and hard enough to meet the requirements listed above. While primarily a rank of prestige; Upper Class nobles have the power to petition for governorship of a province or ownership of an Estate. The Former will bring unto them the responsibility of enforcing the law and ensuring the productivity of a Province within the Kingdom, while the latter provides then with ownership of land responsible for producing and providing Raw Materiel in the form of food to minerals mined from the Earth, such as Iron and Stone, and so on and so forth. Those granted an estate will be entitled to a percentage of the Wealth generated from the land after taxes, while those given Governorship will be responsible for collecting Taxes from Estates and the Middle Classes.

Titles of Nobility are not passed down through Birth; meaning a child of a Noble will be considered Middle Class and inherit his initial home and a percentage of the Wealth, while the rest is taken by the Royal Ministry of the Treasury for use by the nation, starting the cycle all over again and preventing corruption through Entitlement, maintaining the Meritocracy that provides incentive for one to work hard in the hopes of attaining a title of Nobility.

As for the "Lower Classes"; their position in society is nothing more than a matter of fact; they don't own land, or prestige, though hard work will eventually generate enough wealth so that they may purchase a plot of land in the Kingdom to become Middle Class, and service in the Military will always provide a faster, albeit much riskier way of rising in both respects. "Lower Class" and "Middle Class" Citizens are both commonly referred to as Citizens, as the only distinguishing characteristic dividing each is the latter owning land while the former is landless.

All Citizens are granted from birth the freedoms of Speech, Assembly, Religion, and so on and so forth; allowed to exercise these freedoms within constraint of the law, as abuse of Civil Rights is just as much a crime as a Monarch abusing their greater powers is. No individual is permitted to remain unemployed, however, and must find a job or profession pertaining to their passion within three months of reaching adulthood or losing their last job before a state-appointed job is given by the Royal Ministry of Industry and Agriculture.


In terms of Crime and Punishment; courts of law still exist, though trial by jury will have been replaced with trial by a tribunal or council of five-to-nine judges, who will hear the defendants plea and the prosecution's argument before consulting among each other and determining the fate of the defendant through simple majority vote.

For lesser crimes; theft, assault, and Et Cetera, one can and will find themselves condemned to a certain number of years Unpaid Labor, which is to say; indentured Servitude. They can be bought and sold like merchandise during that time, have no Civil Rights, and can be used however their owner sees fit. Once their debt to society has been repaid through use as inexpensive labor ; their Civil Rights will be completely and fully restored and they will be welcomed back into the Lower Classes of society, with a small reimbursement granted by the Government to help them get back on their feet.

More Severe crimes, such as Rape and Murder, however, will not be met with the same lenience. Such Criminals will be tried for their crimes and publicly executed to serve as examples to other would-be criminals. Basically; the Humiliation of being treated like property rather than a person will deter Citizens from lesser crimes, while the finality of death will deter Citizens from committing the more horrendous crimes.


Next is the Military; regarded as another class in and of itself, the Military is open for all, regardless of social class and economic standing. Citizens can provide their own weapons, though the. Ministry of War can provide standard-issue Equipment for those who cannot provide their own.

The Military is just as Meritocratic as the rest of society, though while Land and Prestige among the. Citizenry earns a civilian a title of Nobility; command capabilities are sought after in the Military. Standard Troops will be commanded by Officers, starting at the rank of Second Lieutenant and ending field command at the rank of a Brigadier General, while Major General, General, and Grand General are all positions in which vastly greater responsibilities are brought on, including answering to the Ministry of War, Army Branch (A Naval Branch exists in the Doctrines and Documents I've conceived, though in this RP it is unnecessary, if not entirely useless), and for the Grand General; the Monarch themself.

While of great Prestige otherwise; Nobles and the Monarch his/herself would only start as a lower class of Officer, to be judged by their command capabilities before being promoted accordingly. All Citizens would be required for a mandatory minimum of Two Years Military Service and training before being given the option to continue on with their Civilian Lives or service in the Military. This is inclusive to all Classes, including the Monarch.



I'm going to stop right here for the sake of giving you all an opportunity to review what I have planned thus far. Tell me what you think, and feel free to throw in your opinion as to how ideas can be improved in a way that adheres somewhat to what I have intended, or what needs to be added/removed entirely in order to allow important ideas to work smoothly.

Alright, so I doze off for a little nap earlier today while listening to Dance Hits radio on iTunes, then this song comes on; http://youtube.com/watch?v=uhBaK21KVCY

What followed afterwards was without a doubt, the most epic half-dream/half envisioned scenario I've ever had; I pictured Crossfire and her Cavaliers Humanized (In a more proper manner than Equestria Girls), leaving a castle to follow their leader during a self-imposed exile after a humiliating disaster which nearly brought the newly-founded Kingdom to its knees, a disaster Crossfire herself was directly responsible for.

Together, with little over a dozen loyal retainers; they set out into the wastes in the hopes of doing good elsewhere; the Gold and Silver Sun-and-Moon insignia emblazoned upon the shoulders of their 17th-Century styled uniforms shining during the rare moment of sunlight as they put good time and distance between themselves and a former home which now holds mixed feelings towards the group.

Is this foreshadowing for what I have in mind for the future? Maybe, maybe not; either way I felt it was a rather epic experience and I just had to share it with you all.
