You need a reputation as a decent RPer first. I only started my first RP (the third installment in the Fallout: Factions series) at the request of those in the previous incarnation, and I'd been RPing for months before that when NGF convinced me to make this RP which was arguably because he'd spotted me running the F:F one.
True, very true; Reputation does mean a lot. I honestly don't know where I stand as a Roleplayer in the eyes of others, though I'm fairly confident my Roleplaying/writing skills are adequate. Would you call this a fair assessment?
And on another hand; Portal to the Multiverse is a vastly different community from the main Nation States community, and most Roleplayers I've known from the latter are busy with real life, school and such. That and I started Imperial Crusade shortly before last summer, which might explain the greater level of participation I received in that Roleplay, as it's a rare thing to find halfway decent Roleplayers with a greater amount of time on their hands. Still; when we all come together like here and now, it's always nice to see.
For me, Spike is just above Rarity and Pinkie.
