So this all starts with Hrova. He conquered universe after universe, dropping the universes into chaos. He came across an oddity. One universe was already subjugated to the will of a spirit that controlled its inhabitants by placing them into an endless sleep. This spirit fed off the fear it created with its nightmare world. Over time, Hrova bound the spirit to his will with promises of another world to enslave to his own. Eventually, Hrova twisted the spirit into one of his most faithful servants, subjugating the spirit's will and replacing it with his own. Since then, the spirit has been binding universe's to Hrova's control with his unique powers. Hrova even allowed him to keep control of his own plane of existence, albeit emptied of its inhabitants and submitting to his supreme will. About 500 years ago, Hrova sent the spirit into our universe to soften the defences of its inhabitants for a second invasion. The venture has largely been regarded as a failure by Hrova, seeing as the spirit broke free of Hrova's will and merged his universe with ours. His universe remains hidden from view, even to the descendants of the Tiste. He only emerges from his plane of existence to take another victim as his own.

His current host, Victor Neski, was a wealthy Russian property mogul. Neski is long dead, his soul fed to the spirit long ago, but his body remains the chosen vessel for the Nightmare

That,and I may ask. Can Savior at least take him in a toe on toe fight? Savior is a balance piece, no one be stronger then her, but as strong as her.

She'd be able to escape, but she probably would be taxed mentally by the strain of having to fight her way out of another plane of existence.

You can have all this fantasia yet sensing other immortals like yourself is abnormal?
I'm pretty sure that immortals, just like other inhuman creatures can tell if another them is in close range.
And apart from being unable to die there isn't much more with regards to powers that he can do, sensing other immortals is what I needed to get into the scene as various important characters are there who will be curious to meet.
I guess in abstract it can be explained as immortals having their spirit exist in a different plane of existence from mortal spirits.... (This is confusing, but I'm trying to meet the other immortal and the angel for whom I have questions relating to death.
