I'll be honest, I don't think you ever specified where the foreman was or you said there were other armed guys around him.

Or you could follow the general rules of RPing. Don't get yourself into situations like this. My app for Tidebringer put her in charge of a powerful gang. You decided that it'd be a good idea to barge into their territory and help someone who killed several gang members. I wouldn't be pissed at you killing him if it were in a way that followed RP etiquette. That's my problem with it. You godmodded yourself out of an impossible situation. Don't get yourself into those. And especially don't kill off other people's characters when escaping impossible situations. I would direct you to read the stickies, but I'd really hate to insult your intelligence.
