IC

The Geonosians flew up and attacked the transports with thousands of fighters.

The transports were feeling the effects of the laser fire from the Geonosian fighters, but they were soon assisted by TIE fighter squadrons and a few Tartan Patrol Cruisers, the latter making short work of the Geonosian fighters. If there weren't so many of them, the skirmish would have only lasted for a few minutes.
Elsewhere, the Detainer's activated their gravity well generators after being informed that a Jedi Starfighter escaped from the blockade. Since the ships had little in the way of armament (cuts had to be made for the gravity well generators), a Tartan Patrol Cruiser and a CR-90 corvette were stationed with each. The Jedi would have nowhere to run.

Kite fled the system to gather reinforcements but told his troops to protect the factories no matter what. Battle Droids, Geonosians, Proton Cannons covered the plains of Geonosis ready to fire skyward. The Droid Foundries were scattered around a canyon with a massive spire rising from a central complex atop a cliff in the middle of the canyon with various facilities scattered around the cliff face and canyon walls connected by bridges. Proton Cannons were positioned in nitches in the rocks and a Ray Shield enclosed the entire complex as the foundries were hard at work building droids.

"Does that spot look peculiar to you," a captain of one of the Acclamators asked.
"It does look odd, sir," the weapon's officer agreed.
"Is that anywhere near the droid activity?"
"It is close, but it could be a remnant from the Clone Wars."
"Exactly. Open fire."
A message was sent between the Acclamators to bombard the designated area. The rest of the Imperial fleet proceeded forward, destroying what was left of Kite's fleet before joining in the bombardment.

Luckily the shield held but a large amount of the Anti-Air defenses on the plains were destroyed. However with the shield holding it would force the imperials to face the merciless droid army on the ground.

OOC: How did Kite escape the gravity wells?
IC: The bombardment didn't let up. The transports weren't going to deploy their cargo until the shield was down. And that wasn't going to take a lot of effort. The Star Destroyers and the Mandator, along with the Acclamator IIs, joined in the bombardment, hitting the shield and the area surrounding it. The Acclamators fired their proton torpedoes during the bombardment, as well. The torpedoes would blast right through the shields and hit their targets. It was even better that the turbolasers hid the projectiles from view on the surface. Not that it would matter. The Tartan Patrol Cruisers and the Carrack crusiers, supported by the TIE and V-wing fighters, mopped up the last of the Geonosian fighters. The troops and armor, though told that it was going to be a while before they were deployed, were still kept in high alert nonetheless. They had nothing to do now but wait.

Meanwhile...
Krass had nearly made it to the boarding ramp of the ship before it fired on him and the other guards. The force from one blast sent him reeling into a pile of crates. As he got himself onto his feet, the ship sped out of the hangar.
"No," he cried. Krass couldn't believe it. Celeste was gone.
He didn't have much time to worry about that, though. The station began to take fire from Imperial starships, TIE fighters and ARC-170 fighters racing by the ray shields of the station, followed by Imperial transports loaded with stormtroopers. How much worse can it get, Krass thought angrily. He turned to see Master Cosmos help a trooper up.
"You better get ready, we've got trouble," Krass called to his companion. He then tried to reach Dev, Maris and Aiden to get some help.
Outside, Krass's fleet, followed by whatever defense force Saboath Squadron had, fired at the Imperial fleet, hoping to buy the crew aboard the station some time to try to escape or repel the boarders before more arrived.

Master Dy'lan's small ships manuevered quickly through the nearby asteroid feild, escaping the planets gravity well in short time. The Imperials had them outnumbered, but Dy'lan had more manueverable ships. His fleet just barely exited the Asteroid field in time to jump before being fired upon.

Once in lightspeed he sent an encoded message to Tython.
"Geonosis will fall. We need to regroup for a defensive. I am in hyperspace to Tatooine where I will then jump to Alderran and back to Tython. Put the temple on lockdown."

The temple doors sealed and dozens of padawans moved to safe room in the temple. The Imperials could easily be tracking Dy'lan's acclamator or 1 of his Aquitan cruiser. The possibilities were endless. Dy'lan sent another message to the Council members.

"We need an emergency meeting. Our fleeets need to be redeployed. I believe the Imperials may be on to us, I sense new revelations on their end of the war."

He sat down and staired at the men on the bridge. Their lives could have been lost today, which would have put a great damper on the situation for the jedi. His next move would have to be cunning and decisive if the order was to survive. Playing the right cards was crucial.

At that moment Master Cosmos realized that his fighter was still on the Pride of the Republic. He thought about taking the shuttle but the possibility of getting shot at was to high at the moment. He activated his two lightsabers ready to defend the hanger instead. It was only a matter of time before Imperial bordering crafts and storm troopers descended upon the station now that the shields were gone. Using the force he picked up the weapons dropped by the troopers and shoved them into their arms.
"You're all going to need these." He said to them.
He began to quickly move towards the hanger doors hoping to start the fighting the second they came through the shields.

The Geonosians were hell bent to defend their planet to the last as the remains of the Separatist Fleet began to ram the Mandator and the Five Hundred Proton Cannons inside the Shield fired away at the sky. Already more and more Geonosian Fighters began to arrive from hives across the planet as Geonosian Dreadnaughts followed. Meanwhile wave after wave of Droids marched out of the Foundry and prepared to march against the Imperials.

Meanwhile in the Vancor System, Kite had made contact with Admiral Yualaran and Admiral Keel of Master Arklights former Fleet Division along with Commander Storm of his former 976th Attack Legion both of which did not receive Order 66 until well after its execution but refused to follow. Kite had gathered both at Vancor and assembled his forces. His forces now totaled at 12 Venators, 14 Arquitans, 8 Acclamators, 6 Supply/Medical Transports, 2,500 Z-95 Starfighters, 2,000 ARC-170 Starfighters, 1,600 V-19 Torrent Starfighters, 1,100 Y-Wing Bombers, 10,000 Clone Troopers of the 976th, 1,200 AT-RT Walkers, 1,200 BARC-Speeders, 500 AT-TE's, 20 Turbo Tanks, 100 Artillery Cannon, 600 LAAT Gunships, and 300 LAAT/c Carriers. A force just strong enough to begin a hit and run campaign against the Empire. Since the majority of Arklights main Clone Forces were destroyed at the Death Star, Kite had assembled what remains to commence a Hit and Run Campaign until the Kaminoans supplied him with a large enough amount of clones and the Rogue Shipyards at Mon Calamari supplied him with enough ships to start a full offensive.
Kite decided that the Empire knew too many of the galaxies worlds so he decided to try a world his Master had spent months teaching him about, Tython, the ancient Jedi Homeworld. Kite took his Starfighter and 2 Attack Shuttles with full stocks of Clones. Arklights Legion of the 976th had been formed from the Coruscant Guard so they wore its colors. They jumped into Hyperspace after telling the fleet to hold position in Vancor since the planet generated a field that would hide them from the Empire. It also was that the Empire would never notice Vancor since its population was entirely Gundarks and received no tourist traffic. It was perhaps one of the most unnoticed systems in the galaxy.
Kite hoped to find something at Tython.

Master Dy'lan finally exited over Tython and made his descent. His fleet stayed in a protective formation over the planet. Dy'lan landed, and walked quickly to the council room overlooking the entire temple and the surrounding forests and mountains. He sat in his chair and began to meditate. Gaurds took up posts, their blue armor showing brightly in the temple light. He new something was wrong, and he waited for the force to reveal it.

Kite's Jedi Starfighter and the two Attack Shuttles came out over the planet. They slipped silently past the blockade given their small size and landed in the forests of Tython near the Ancient Temple. Kite jumped out of his Fighter, his cream colored tunic blowing slightly in the wind, and each Shuttle expelled a dozen Clone Troopers wearing Coruscant Guard Armor. They crept silently through the forest toward the Temple.

It also was that the Empire would never notice Vancor since its population was entirely Gundarks and received no tourist traffic. It was perhaps one of the most unnoticed systems in the galaxy.
Kite hoped to find something at Tython.

The enemy ships approaching the Mandator did not go unnoticed. The nearby Imperial ships gutted the vessels with their turbolaser cannons and the Mandator's stern weaponry aided in their destruction. The appearance of the enemy fighters and dreadnaughts weren't a surprise, though some of the crew were scratching their heads as to how the Geonosians had constructed the latter without attracting the attention of the Republic or the Empire.
The Mandator saw the approaching dreadnaughts and began to target the closest, turning all of its available weapons onto the enemy ship and dwindling its foe's shields. The Victory I Star Destroyers aided their larger cousin by targeting the second dreadnaught, hitting it with their remaining concussion missiles. The Rothana Battleships and Dreadnaught cruisers created a shield around the Acclamators to prevent their destruction while they bombarded the planet below.
The turbolaser fire continued to drain the ray shield of its power, but the ultimate goal was to keep the shield occupied about the lasers and not the proton torpedoes that were rushing towards their targets. Finally, the torpedoes, covered by the turbolasers, slipped past the shield and hit their targets. The torpedoes detonated upon impact, sending large shockwaves and walls of fire all around the canyon. The ray shield, in its last few moments of activity, acted like a lid rather than a shield, keeping all of the explosive force of the torpedoes locked inside and increasing the damage. The gunners of the Acclamators were unsure as to how much damage was done by their torpedoes. A second salvo was being loaded into the ships' tubes, but the crew believed that it wouldn't be necessary. Once the smoke cleared, the crew would make its decision then.
OOC: Decius, before you start saying that proton torpedoes can't pass through your ray shield, let me say that yes they can. Ray shields keep out lasers and other energy weapons, not solid objects, like rockets, missiles or proton torpedoes. The Death Star's exhaust port had a ray shield and Luke's proton torpedoes were able to slip past the shield and destroy the Death Star.

"You're all going to need these." He said to them.
He began to quickly move towards the hanger doors hoping to start the fighting the second they came through the shields.

The Imperial transports made their way into the hangars of the station, unloading their contents of 501st stormtroopers and even a few AT-PTs. The Imperials rushed for the vital portions of the facility, but they were met with fierce resistance from the Saboath guards, the escorts for the arrivals up in the "command center", and the battle droids that were stationed on the facility. A few Imperial boarding craft tried to make their way towards the command center, but they were instantly vaporized by the Colicoid Annihilator droids sitting outside the command tower. Dev saw the boarding craft bloom into brilliant, brief balls of fire before only debris remained.
"Those are some tough droids," he remarked.
"They'll keep the Empire from getting to us from the outside," Felstar thought out loud. "Right now, we need to lock down the command center from the inside."
"And how do we do that," Maris asked. "These people are too frightened to stay still and wait for the battle to be over. They want to leave."
Irek Felstar scowled as he thought about that. "I don't suppose you have an idea as to how to get them out of here and past the Imperials."
"As a matter of fact, we do," Dev grinned. He gestured towards the slaves' quarters. "I have one of my commando teams cutting their way into the quarters to try and clear a path for everyone"- he didn't want to say just the former slaves- "out of here. There is a ship waiting in the hangar that will take them away."
"Perfect," Felstar said. "I won't even ask what the original intention for such an escape route was. I'll go gather the guests." With that, the man left to do just that.
"So, what do we do," Maris asked.
"We're going to have to keep the Empire from taking the command center and harming the civilians," Aidan said, unclipping his lightsaber from his belt.
"What about Krass and Celeste," Maris asked with some concern.
"They'll be fine," Dev said, slapping an energy pack into a DC-17 pistol he had been hiding in his suit. "I trust the Generals to keep the Empire preoccupied."
Down in the hangar, Krass saw the first of the Imperial transports for that area arrive and he went into action. He didn't care about the blaster bolts whizzing past him. He didn't care as he cut through the stormtroopers with his lightsaber, the yellow blade cutting through the white armor of the stormtroopers and leaving nothing but corpses in its wake. All that he cared about was getting Celeste back and the Imperials were simply an obstacle to that goal.
As Krass finished off a stormtrooper with a slice though the torso, an AT-PT walker approached from behind and fired its laser cannons. Krass dodged the energy bolts and dashed towards the walker. He zigzagged his way towards it, confusing the operator considerably and causing the walker to fire wildly in a vein attempt to stop him. Finally, Krass made a final dash and sliced the walker's legs at the knee joints, forcing the upper portion of the walker to the deck. The operator tried to get out, but Krass used the Force to pick up the turret, forcing the operator back inside. The Jedi Master noticed another transport arrive inside the hangar, taking the place of another that had just left a few moments before. Before the new transport could unload its troops, Krass flung the turret straight at it, using all of the power he could muster. The turret smashed right into the Nu-class shuttle, forcing it off the elevated landing pad and onto the deck, the hull of the ship screaming in protest from abuse it was taking. The shuttle crumbled onto the deck, starting a small fire, but no major explosions. No one came out of the shuttle. With that done, Krass proceeded elsewhere, looking for something he could use to fly towards the Imperial fleet and find Celeste.

OOC: My ships are not in the atmosphere. The J-1 proton cannons can't touch them. Also, the Acclamator's proton torpedoes are not the same as those used by an X-wing. They are much larger and are designed specifically for ship-to-ship combat or orbital bombardment. They have a significantly larger explosive yield than that of the X-wing's or any other fighter or bomber that has proton torpedoes.

However the Geonosians came at the Imperials in such numbers that it was overwhelming considering hundreds of thousands of Hive Fighters were coming in from across the planet alongside hundreds of Dreadnaughts. After all the Imperials were focusing on attacking a single point amongst the whole planet. But the whole planet was attacking them.

Not wanting to be left out Master Cosmos went sabers first into about a dozen troopers. He leapt high into the air while deflecting blaster fire and came down using the force to scatter them. While they were recovering he made quick work of beheading and slashing through all of them. He ran forward deflecting blaster fire back at various stormtroopers killing many of them before he had to take cover behind a few crates. He peaks his head out the side and watched as Master Krass destroy a transport. He smiled as this meant less troopers to deal with at the moment. He stood up and force pushed the crates he was hiding begin into a group of stormtroopers obliterating them and sending their corpses flying into those behind them. He rushed forward slicing into a few more stormtroopers while continuing to deflect shots back at the large amount of stormtroopers. As he dodged blaster fire he leaned close to the ground and picked up two grenade belts from a couple of shot stormtroopers.
These will come in handy in a few minutes.

The 501st Legion continued its assault all through out the facility. After much fighting, a group of stormtroopers from the famous Torrent Company was able to break through the enemy lines and create a large enough gap for more stormtroopers to push to the command center. At the lead of the charge...
"Captain Rex," a stormtrooper called out. "We are close to the lift that leads to the command center."
"I don't need a step-by-step report, trooper," Rex growled. "What is the opposition like ahead?"
"Unknown, sir."
"Well, then, we'll find out together. Now move it!"
"Yes, sir."
The stormtroopers pushed towards their objective, mowing down any opposition that crossed their path. Up in the command center, the last of the civilians escaped through the path carved out by Sabre Squad, leaving the command center vacant except for Dev, Felstar, Aidan and Maris. Felstar proceeded to a console on Rylar's chair and began to punch in a few commands.
"What are you doing," Dev asked.
"Trying to lock down the area as best as I can, clone," Felstar stated without looking up. "Take up positions and be prepared to repel anyone that comes up here."
"Understood," Dev said. Maris and Aidan began to seal off the slave quarters and Rylar's quarters to prevent any access from both rooms. Dev managed to find an E-WEB blaster cannon from Rylar's personal hidden armory in his quarters and set it up in a niche behind the main lift. The secondary lift was trapped with some explosives that Sabre Squad had given the group before they left. Now it was just a matter of waiting.
Down below, Torrent Company was just about to make for the lifts when the doors surrounding the lifts close shut.
"Blast it," Rex growled. He turned to a pair of stormtroopers.
"You two, get those doors open," he ordered.
"Yes, sir," the two troopers replied and marched off to their tasks.
As the troopers tried to open the doors, the door that separated the room containing the lift and the hallway that the troopers had used shut behind Captain Rex and three other stormtroopers, cutting off the men from their aid. The lights in the room dimmed.
"That's not good," a trooper remarked.
"Cut the chatter," Rex barked. "Switch those searchlights on."
The troopers did as instructed. They scanned the room with their lights, looking for anything that looked out of the ordinary. There was nothing. At least, at first. Suddenly, something moved in the darkness.
"I've got something over here," a soldier called out.
"What is it, trooper," Rex asked.
"I don't know, sir," the trooper replied. The trooper carefully approached the spot where he had seen a blur of motion.
The next thing the group knew, the trooper was screaming for help. Rex turned to see three commando droids materialize from the shadows, two with their blaster rifles out and one with a vibroblade. The latter approached the surprised stormtrooper and slashed his E-11 blaster carbine, cutting the weapon in two. Rex raised his DC-17 pistol and fired one shot at the droid's head. The bolt hit the droid square in the head, bringing it to the deck, deactivated.
"You can thank me later, trooper," the captain called. "Take these clankers down, boys!"
The stormtroopers did as instructed and hit the commando droids with their fire. When the last two were dealt with, three more sprang out of the darkness, firing away with their blaster rifles. One stormtrooper took a hit to the shoulder and snarled in pain, but he used his other arm to return fire at the droids. Before the stormtroopers could deal with their new arrivals, something even bigger appeared behind the commando droids.
"What in the fierfeck is that," Rex asked.
The droid was at least three times the size of a stormtrooper and bore a strong resemblance to a B2 super battle droid, except for its size and other minor changes. The droid had three curled blades at the back of its legs, two tiny arms at its thighs and two regular sized arms that carried a heavy plasma cannon on the left arm and a flamethrower on the right. It was an absolute killing machine.
"Ultra battle droid," a stormtrooper called out. "Everyone, take cover!"
No sooner had the trooper called that out had the giant droid sent a stream of fire from its right arm towards the stormtroopers. Rex rolled to his right and fired a few shots into the Ultra battle droid's torso, but with no effect. The droid turned on the captain and sent another stream of fire at him, forcing Rex to the right again. The commando droids took advantage of the confusion and fired their weapons at the stormtroopers, hitting one in the thigh and killing another. Rex ducked behind a cargo container near one of the lifts and tried to reorganize himself. This wasn't going to be an easy fight.

In the security tower of the temple the Senate Gaurd officers took not of a small craft landing unauthorized on the planet. In response, red lights flashed and the temple alarms sounded. Fortunatly, the temple was already on lockdown. All entrances were rayshielded. A gunship lifted off, followed by 2 more Gunships running right behind it. In each, 10 senate gaurds waited to land. The Platoon had a simple job, advance on the small force and arrest them. They were lead by a jedi Knight named Hi'ron Louh, a young twi'lek girl. The intruders would be arrebe met with more resistance then expected on this quiet inner core planet. Above, the fleet loosened formation to cover a larger area as to make sure no other ships slippeed through. Tython was on lockdown and the over 30 jedi and 3000 senate gaurds, along with the 8 remaining Aquitans and the 11 Frigates would be sure to keep it on lockdown until the Grand Master, Master Dy'lan, or a member of the council, ordered otherwise.

Master Cosmos continued to move forward at a rapid pace. Behind him lay severed limbs and corpses with slash marks or deflected blaster marks. Using the force he picked up a fairly large chunk of debris and began to use it as a battering ram. Stomtroopers in front of him were either crushed to death or were jumping to the sides to escape being hit. However those that managed to avoid the debris were then fired upon by the hanger guards as they slowly moved forward to meet both the Jedi. Tossing the debris into a parked transport he took cover behind more crates. He looked over the crates to see the transports of the Imperials. He needed to get to there along with the grenades he was currently carrying. Hopefully if he was careful he could reach the other end of the hanger in the next couple minutes. Taking a deep breath he stood and began to bolt towards the transports as fast as he could.

Krass proceeded to hack his way through the troopers, still trying to find a way to get off the station and pursue the ship that took Celeste. If it is still in the system, Krass thought grimly. That thought only increased Krass's rage and caused him to fight even harder.
While Krass was finishing up another transport's worth of stormtroopers, Sabre Squad came out of their make-shift path and surrounded the civilians while they rushed for a transport that Sabre Squad had stolen earlier. The stormtroopers saw the large group of rushing civilians (there were over sixty of them) and fired on them. Krass leapt over the line of civilians and blocked the shots, reflecting them back into the stormtroopers. Sabre Squad took down the few stormtroopers that still wished to fire at the civilians.
"Thanks for the assistance, sir," Sabre One called.
"Get the civilians out of here, Sabre Lead," Krass ordered.
"Yes, sir," Sabre One replied. "Sabre Two, Sabre Five! Get yourselves into the transport and fire it up!"
The commandoes rushed into the transport to do their tasks, leaving Krass to keep fighting through the stormtroopers.
Elsewhere, Captain Rex wondered how to destroy the large battle droid when he realized that he had a couple of EMP grenades attached to his belt. Idiot! Rex exclaimed.
"Troopers! Toss out your droid poppers," the clone captain ordered, tossing one of his. The troopers did as ordered, throwing their own grenades at the droids. The grenades landed around the droids and detonated, sending bolts of electricity running up and down the droids' bodies and leaving nothing but smoldering heaps and a strong smell of ozone in the air. The Ultra battle droid, surprisingly, was on its knees, but still very much active.
"Hit it now, while it's down," a trooper called out, unleashing a torrent of laser fire on the droid. The others followed suite and hit the droid with every shot. Finally, the droid released a final groan before dropping to the deck, dead.
"Finally," Rex remarked. "Good work, men. Now, let's get these doors open."

Aboard the Star Destroyer Devastator
Boba stood outside of the Slave I with BL-17 holding the woman in its arms. After a few minutes of waiting in the hangar, the main doors hissed open to reveal a large dark figure that would have instilled fear into any man, even the bounty hunter beholding him now. Vader approached Boba Fett with a couple of stormtroopers in tow.
Once the dark lord was a few feet from Boba, the latter said, "Lord Vader, I present to you a Jedi."
Darth Vader turned his gaze onto the limp form in BL-17's arms and the dark lord's blood ran cold. It was her! The witch that Vader had encountered just a few months ago that could conjure up rakghouls at her command. However, she looked more pitiful than threatening at the moment. Vader returned his attention to the bounty hunter.
"Very good, bounty hunter," he said. "She is truly a prize."
"Glad to be of service," Boba said. "Now about my pay..."
"We shall discuss such matters after we leave the system," Vader said, motioning for the stormtroopers to take Celeste. "In the meantime, you may return to your ship and... relax."
The stormtroopers took Celeste from BL-17 without any struggle from the droid and the two troopers carried the woman away through the doors, with Vader in tow. Once the doors closed, Boba released a breath he didn't know he was holding. He could have felt Vader's grip on his neck the whole time; Boba was just glad that he didn't feel it squeeze too hard.
"Come on, BL," Boba said with some relief. The two returned to the Slave I and waited as they were told. Boba took the chance to catch up on some sleep.
On the bridge of the Devastator, Vader sent out a message to all of the Imperial forces aboard the shipyards: all forces are to return to the fleet immediately. Objective has been completed. Vader knew it was unwise to leave the battle unfinished, but he had to get this woman away from here. His master would want to inspect her and her talisman. And he didn't want to risk her recapture by the Jedi. The Imperial fleet formed itself into a defensive position, ready to retrieve the transports. One of the escorts detonated into a brief white flash after taking a hit from a turbolaser shot. The fleet kept up its fire on the enemy ships, trying to buy the transports time to rejoin the fleet.
