He hoped that he could make it to Vader before Vader made it to Master Marek and his son. He feared what could happen if Vader were to capture his son alive. The thought made him shudder. Stepping on the gas he zoomed even faster through the landscape.

As the fighting below continued came to its climax, Vader focused on finding his target. It was not all that hard, considering that whoever he was tracking was not trying to hide his or her presence in the Force, making the Dark Lord's job much easier. Within a few minutes, Vader had found his query: a Jedi master trying to push through the brush to safety. Vader made his presence known.
"Master Marek, I presume," Vader said as he stepped into view, igniting his lightsaber. "You cannot hide from me, Jedi. Give up now, and I will make your death swift."
(OOC: Exucular, do you want to be Master Marek or should I do that?)

OOC: Your better at dialogue, You should be Master Marek.
Master Cosmos was close. He pushed the throttle even further as he felt Vader's presence right on top of Master Marek. He knew Master Marek would put up a fight, especially since he was protecting his son. However Vader was more ruthless giving him an advantage over him. Cosmos hoped that he would arrive in time to make it a two on one battle.
Hold on Master Marek, I'm almost there.

Cosmos hoped that he would arrive in time to make it a two on one battle.
Hold on Master Marek, I'm almost there.

OOC: Alright. Thanks.
"I knew you would find me eventually," Marek said, standing his ground against Vader and igniting his own lightsaber. "I was hoping it would not be for a few more years."
"Your actions seem to have inspired the Wookies to rebel against Imperial forces on Kashyyyk," Vader stated. "It is your own fault that I am here." Vader readied himself for the coming fight. "Prepare to meet your end."
Master Marek charged at Vader, swinging for Vader's head. The Dark Lord blocked the attack and made an attack of his own. The two Force-wielders clashed, blocking each other's attacks and countering with their own; to the casual observer, it would have been a remarkable sight of skill. However, each duel must come to an end and, in the end, someone dies.
Master Marek was tired from combating Vader, clutching his abdomen where a rib was broken. As Vader stepped forward, he staggered back, trying to give himself more space. In a desperate attempt to defeat Vader, Marek slashed at the Vader with his lightsaber, but the Dark Lord blocked the attack and disarmed the Jedi Master. Defenseless, Marek was at the mercy of Darth Vader.
Vader gripped Marek using the Force, slowly applying pressure to his windpipe. The Jedi grabbed for his neck, a reflex most did to try and release a pressure that only Vader had control of. Marek looked at Vader with contempt, though Vader thought it to be a pathetic attempt of rebellion.
"I sense someone far more powerful nearby," Vader said. He raised his lightsaber menacingly at Marek. "Where is your master?"
"The Dark Side has clouded your mind," Marek spat. "You killed my master years ago."
"Then now you shall share in his fate!" Vader was about to swing his lightsaber at the Master Marek and end his life, when the lightsaber leapt from his hand. Vader saw it land into a child's hands; the child looking at the situation before him with a mix of curiosity and fear, unsure what to make of what was going on.
"A son..."
Marek turned to his son, struggling against the Force used against him.
"Run," he pleaded to his son. It was the last word he ever uttered.
Vader crushed Master Marek's windpipe and let the body drop to the dirt, satisfied that the Jedi Master was dead. The boy looked at the body with horror, unsure of what had just happened and hoping his father would get up. He quickly turned to Darth Vader, the lightsaber still in his hands. Vader retrieved the lightsaber from the boy and looked at him. This was the Force-wielder that Vader had felt before. And it seemed perfect that he was just a child, almost as if the Force had wished for Vader to meet this child. He extended out his left hand.
"Come with me," he commanded the child. "More will be here soon."
The child was unsure at first, fear running wildly through him. He took one last glance at his father and judged that he may never get up again. The boy took Vader's extended hand and followed him deeper into the forest. Vader cloaked his and the child's presence in the Force so that the pursuing Jedi would not find him. He needed to get this child off of the planet as soon as possible.
It took an hour for Vader to find another clearing from which he could call his shuttle. The shuttle arrived within five minutes of being sent for and it was about that long before it was in the air again, bound for the Devastator. As the shuttle cleared the atmosphere of the planet, Vader got to see the aftermath of the battle that had transpired in his absence. Debris from hundreds of destroyed starfighters hung over the Star Destroyers like dust motes in the sun, with larger chunks floating just beyond the blockade. The few enemy warships that remained were being dealt with. As the shuttle turned for the Devastator, Vader saw that his flagship was battered, but still in operation.
The shuttle touched down in the secondary hangar just forward of the main launch hangar. After placing the young child in his quarters, Vader proceeded towards the bridge to meet with Admiral Gahl. The admiral stood at the viewport observing the Devastator's repositioning when Vader arrived. The bridge went silent when Vader walked through, with only the sound of commands being punched into the different consoles of the bridge being audible. Vader noticed that the admiral's skin turned much lighter when he approached.
Admiral Gahl feared the worst, but kept his composer and braced himself for his fate. He was wondering how it felt to be slashed in two with a lightsaber when Vader stopped before him.
"Admiral."
"Yes, my lord?" Here it comes...
"I need you to transfer to another vessel in the blockade and maintain lockdown of this system until you are relieved," Vader commanded. "I must take the Devastator elsewhere on personal business."
The admiral silently let out a breath he hadn't noticed he had been holding. "Yes, sir," he replied then he frowned. "Uh, sir. The rebels destroyed the main hangar during their attack, which neutralized the remaining shuttles aboard the ship. How am I to transfer to another ship?"
Vader did not respond to that question. The admiral sighed and knew what his option was. He made his way to the nearest escape pod and proceeded to the nearest Star Destroyer. As his escape pod was being placed inside one of the retrieval bays of the nearest Star Destroyer, Admiral Gahl wondered how he had managed to please Vader enough to be spared from death, but he squashed that thought. He was just happy to be alive. His next thought was how he was going to explain his arrival to the captain of this Star Destroyer, who was no doubt laughing at his predicament at this moment.
The Devastator made its final preparations before jumping to hyperspace just beyond the gravity wells of Kashyyyk and the CC-2200s, bound for the nearest Imperial shipyards. As the ship left realspace, Vader returned to his quarters to meet the child and perhaps learn what he could do with his Force abilities at this time. Vader's revenge against the Emperor had just begun...

OOC: You said nearest Shipyards to Kashyyk so that would be KUAT!

OOC: Not exactly. Kuat is in the Core region of the galaxy, while Kashyyyk is in the Mid Rim region, so they are a good distance from each other. There are other Imperial shipyards near by, including repair stations at the Maw Installation, a site that no one outside of the high echelon of the Imperial military know about due to its use as the construction site of the first Death Star. Vader could very well be going there, which means you can't get him because no one would know where he was.
And, even if he were going to Kuat, there are hundreds of Imperial and Kuat Security forces that your Jedi would have to clear through and I don't think that a modified Providence-class carrier/dreadnaught and five Munificent frigates could take on several hundred Star Destroyers, several Procurator and Praetor-class battlecruisers, Mandator-class Dreadnaughts (which can only be matched by 1,000 Recusant light destroyers), and whatever other defenses are at the planet. Kuat is an important ship manufacturer to the Empire and it is not going to let you walk in without a fight, especially if Darth Vader is there.

OOC: Two main engines are down, while the rest of the primary and secondary propulsion is online. The hyperdrive was unaffected by the battle and is running at 100% efficiency. I'm not too sure what you're going for here. There are numerous star systems around Kashyyyk that, should the Devastator have to stop at, leaves a rather large search. Besides, your getting this information from OOC, which means you can't use it to your advantage.

OOC: I feel even sadder for him since someone else agreed that it was just sad.

Master Cosmos feared the worst once he lost the force presence of both Master Marek and his son. The moment he reached the site of the battle between Marek and Vader he surveyed the scene for the two he was looking for. He ran to Master Marek's body and checked to see if he was breathing. He wasn't, his windpipe was snapped, from what he could tell it was through a force choke. Master Marek was dead. He was to late. He got up and started to search the surrounding are for Galen. Eventually he came to the conclusion that Galen was taken by Vader. On one hand he was relieved to know he was alive but on the other hand he knew what would potentially become of Galen under Vader's wing. Using his communicator he called Captain Fordo and told him his location. He planned to take Master Marek back to Tython and have a proper Jedi burial with the members of the Order.
As he waited he sat down and began to meditate close to Marek's body. However he did not meditate long as figures began to come out of the foliage. A dozen figures, Trandoshan, bounty hunters. They must of came down with the Stormtroopers to help with the native wookiees. They walked up to Master Cosmos weapons drawn and made a circle around him.
"Well, well, well," The lead Bounty hunter said, "Looks like a couple of Jedi, The Empire well pay well for the both of you."
He began to see Master Marek a little more clearly."
"Damn. Never mind, just one."
"Just because you've surrounded me doesn't mean you'll be able to take me in," Master Cosmos said inching his hand to his lightsaber.
"Don't try it Jedi, Their are twelve blasters here all pointing to somewhere on your body. Maybe if you come quietly we'll--" he never finished the sentence as he was shot straight between the eyes.
The remaining eleven were shocked.
"What the--" the Trandoshan that had uttered the word was shot in the temple.
At that point the bounty hunters began to shoot haphazardly into the surrounding environment hoping to hit the sniper. As this happened two more of them fell dead. Master Cosmos not wanting to be left out activated his lightsaber and lunched to the two closest to him beheading them with ease. Within the next thirty seconds all of the Trandoshan bounty hunters were deceased. Master Cosmos deactivated his lightsaber as he knew that who ever the sniper was wouldn't shoot him.
"Do you mind showing yourself so that I can thank you in person."
From a nearby a vantage point a clone commando came down on his Jet back. Master Cosmos nearly reached for his lightsaber but realized that if this clone wanted to kill him he would of done it the second his speeder came into the area.
"Clone commando RC-1207 at your service sir."
"Glad to meet you, Why are you here?"
"I was left behind after a mission here on Kashyyyk."
"Why didn't you pull out with the rest of your squad?"
I was under attack by hostiles. I couldn't get to them."
"By any chance are a member of the Special Operations Brigade?"
"That is correct sir."
"Then I may have met you before commando. What was your name?"
"RC--"
"Your nickname, "Master Cosmos interrupted.
"Delta-07, I primarily go by Sev."
Master Cosmos now remembered. Sev was Delta Teams star sniper.
"I remember you now. I served alongside your squad and various other ones on a few missions. I heard good things, and I saw they weren't lying."
"Thank You sir."
"But something is bothering me. Why didn't you shoot me Sev. Have you had any radio contact since being left here?"
"No sir, My communicator and any other forms of communications were damaged during my last mission. I've been living in Kashyyyk's jungles ever since."
This must be why he didn't comply with Order 66 when he saw him.
"Not anymore Commando, your coming with me."

(OOC: Sev was left behind on Kashyyyk before the end of the Clone Wars. He was MIA. Also this might be my longest post on this thread. :))

Captain Fordo's three Gunships arrived above the area and then landed. Captain Fordo was leaning against the hull of the Gunship. "Come on! Hurry up! General Tenjo's Fleet is preparing to leave!"

Quickly Master Cosmos and Sev took Master Marek's body and boarded the gunship with Captain Fordo.
"How are your wounds Captain Fordo? Did the pilot survive?"
He then turned to Sev.
"I hope you brought everything. We won't be back for a while."
He checked himself over and gave a thumbs up.

The Mon Calamari's shields took damage from the Ion shots but were able to quickly recover. The flagship had fled, meaning the cruiser had won the skirmish between it and that Star destroyer. The cruiser activated its engines and went to maximum speed fleeing far behind the outer rebel fleet where it could regroup its forces. The cloaked ship had been hit by a couple stray laser shots, but was mostly unaffected. using the force, Master Deno helped guide the ship to the Redeemer where it was safe. The ship was still fleeing the star destroyer, hoping to pull it deeper into the rebel fleet where smaller, more maneuverable ships could outflank it from around.

Meanwhile, the damaged ships that had hoped to save more rebel troops never did get to ground. the fighters and bomber drove them away. 1 Frigate was even damaged almost beyond repair, and was evacuated once they were almost out of the sight of the planet. The lone frigate set a hyperspace jump for an Imperial Star destroyer, as most of the damage was to life support and shields. Th engines remained in tact even though the ship had no life support systems. 1 brave rebel gave his life to flip the lever sending the ship crashing at lightspeed into the bridge of a star destroyer. The other ships jumped to lightspeed to several planets to confuse any Imperials tracking them. Soon, they would return to Tython...

On the Redeemer, the crew cheered as they heard of the destroyed gravity well generators and the star destroyers that were destroyed by the Jedi fleet. The ship hoped the rebels could regroup, and Master Cosmos could be returned to a rebel ship, hopefully the Redeemer, where they could retreat from the system.

Master Deno sent a transmission to Master cosmos through the force...

I advise you get to the Redeemer immediately so we can jump out of here. We can send a stealth ship to pick you up if you wish, but youll have to meet us quick because the ship cant wait for long. If needed, and we send the ship, it will jump immediatly after it clears the atmosphere. Were ready if needed.

Krass and Maris proceeded to the command center of the Pride of the Republic to meet up with Dev, Celeste, and Aidan. Both were tired from their trip, but they pushed aside their exhaustion for a briefing. At least, Krass had to. Maris decided to leave for her barracks for some meditation and some sleep. Krass continued up the main lift to the bridge at the top of the command tower.
As Krass stepped off the lift and proceeded the bridge, he received a warm reception from his colleagues before getting through the briefing of current matters. The Colicoids had fulfilled their promise to provide aid to the faction by giving it several thousand buzz droids, a few hundred Droidekas, a handful of Colicoid Annihilator droids, two dozen droid tri-fighters and a dozen Colicoid infiltrator droids. All the Colicoids wanted in return was food, primarily meat, as the Empire had embargoed their world and food was beginning to become scarce. The current deal was that the more food that was delivered, the more support and battle droids the faction would get. Dev concluded that the deal could be kept since the Empire continued to send convoys out this way, which the Lok Revenants attack and scavenge for anything of use, and they usually carried food stuffs for the troops and governors in this corner of the galaxy.
Next, Krass was informed about the defection of the Imperial crews and ships to the fleet and Dev added his suspicions of the captain of the wounded Venator. Krass didn't have much of an opinion on this suspicious character, since he had yet to meet her, but he wanted to play it safe. He told Dev to keep that Venator's communications jammed for right now until it was clear that the captain was truly on their side and not sympathetic to the Empire.
Lastly, there was the return of the two recon fleets that had been away since the fall of Rhen Var. Dev began with the fleet under the command of Dagger Squad. The clone commando group did pretty well in recruitment, as their Venators were packed with Zeltron, Omwats, Twi'lecks and miscellaneous pirates, smugglers, etc. The commandos managed to setup hidden listening posts at Omwat and Zeltros to help provide important information to the fleet. Recruiting for the faction was still being done on the worlds the clone commandos had visited, though those recruits would stay on their worlds and act as saboteurs against the local Imperial forces. In all, it was a pretty good setup.
Then came the report from the recon fleet sent to Ossus. The tactical droid in charge of that fleet had sent his scouts onto the planet and made contact with the local native population to aid in the discovery of Jedi artifacts. The locals were, at first, hostile to the "invaders" but calmed down after a while and helped in the retrieval of any documents from an ancient Jedi library. The droids had to do the actual retrieving, though, as the natives believed the site to be forbidden to them. In total, over 200 documents and holocrons were retrieved from the ruins and brought back to the fleet. Dev was sorry to add that a few natives were taken as well, though they were in good health, but in his words, "just a bit miffed." Krass made a mental note to speak with those individuals in the near future.
After the briefing, Krass excused himself and proceeded to the lift to go to his quarters. As he was about to punch the command to go down, Celeste joined Krass.
"Mind if I join you," she asked.
"Not at all," Krass said and he hit the command. Krass felt the lift begin its descent.
The two Jedi stood in silence for a few moments. Celeste was the first to break it.
"I think we need to talk," she said, her voice serious. Curious, Krass turned to her.
"About what," he asked, then a shocking thought came to his mind. "You're not still feeling-"
"No," Celeste stated. "It has nothing to do with the Talisman. It's about..." She seemed to be trying to find the right words.
"Krass," she began, "do you remember when I asked you if you wished to have a relationship with me?"
"Yes, I remember," Krass replied. "And I suppose I know where this is going."
"You do," Celeste said. She looked down at the deck of the lift, her face a mix of emotions. "Look, Krass. It isn't that I don't care for you, it's just that I haven't made up my mind fully if we should be together." She looked back at Krass, expecting to see a sad expression. She was surprised by a puzzled look on his face.
"What are you talking about," Krass asked. "Being together? Celeste, when you asked me that question, I thought you were asking to be friends, not a couple." Krass took a breath. "Look, I still am unsure of my feelings for you as well, but I do know this: when I promised to help you reintegrate with the galaxy, I meant it. You and I are friends, Celeste; companions in the Jedi Order and in the Sentinel class. We've hardly known each other long enough for their to be anything above a friendship to exist between us. Are you okay with that?"
Celeste gave Krass a small grin. "I think that is perfect," she said. For her, the weird tension she felt being with Krass was gone.
The lift finally came to a stop, opening its doors and allowing the two Jedi to exit. As they went their separate ways, Celeste called back to Krass, who turned around.
"Thank you, Krass," she said, rubbing her neck where the Muur Talisman used to be. "For everything."
Krass returned a grin. "Not a problem, Celeste," he said. And with that, the Jedi returned to his quarters and fell asleep, returning to that forested world and reveling in a victory with people he would most likely never see beyond the vision.

Admiral Gahl saw the Star Destroyer Avenger continue to chase after the Mon Calamari cruiser and went to the comms aboard his new flagship.
"Avenger, return to the blockade," he ordered. "We'll deal with those rebels later. Close up the gap."
"Yes, sir," the Avenger's communications officer replied.
The admiral returned to the viewport, watching as the remaining rebel forces prepared to leave. He sighed. The remaining CC-2200 Detainer's were ready to activate their gravity wells, but Admiral Gahl prevented them from doing so after one of the Star Destroyers in the blockade got blown to pieces by some suicidal rebel ship. No sense for the Detainer's to draw attention to themselves. Besides, Admiral Gahl thought. It could have been worse.
The remaining TIE fighters and bombers kept a tight defense screen around the blockade and were constantly looking for anything that might wish to approach the blockade. The same was being done by the Star Destroyers comprising the blockade. Nothing was going to get past them or so the COs thought. Admiral Gahl was reviewing the details over the destruction of one of the Detainers and found that a ship similar in design to a prototype stealth ship the Republic developed at the height of the Clone Wars was responsible. That discovery made Admiral Gahl frown. There was no way for the fleet to detect when that craft was around, even with the Star Destroyer's advanced sensor array. Unless..., the admiral thought. He gave his idea a few moments of thought then decided that it was the fleet's best chance.
"Set the ship's sensors to detect any magnetic signatures that come close to the blockade," he ordered. The officer in charge of the scanners quickly obeyed. Now all Gahl had to do was wait. His idea had proven successful in the past, as Admiral Trench of the CIS forces used the same trick to find the same prototype stealth ship during his blockading of Christophsis. For now, it was only a matter of time.

Admiral gates sent an open frequency transmission to the Empires forces, hoping the admiral would respond.

"I would like to speak with your admiral. If he does not respond, rest assured I am no Jedi and have no moral code to hold up. If he does not respond, I will call my other damaged frigate back from its jump destination and crash it straight into the bridge of a random Star destroyer. Put me in contact with your commander or this may be your last hour."

Gates was not bluffing. He could easily evacuate the other frigate. He hoped the Imperials realized he didn't hold himself to the same code as his jedi counterparts. He fought for their cause, but not for their rules.

The stealth ship waited for a response, hoping to be able to help Master Cosmos in some way. The ship had never been detected in any event...except once. It took a cunning and sly military commander to learn how to locate the ship. Plus, the ship was faster than any star destroyer the Empire had. The odds of the Imperial fools learning of its weakness were very low. Trench barely caught on himself. Of course, it would be near improbable to mask the ships magnetic frequency entirely, especialy from Imperial scanners. Of course, what were the odds of danger?

The rest of the fleet formed up around the Redeemer. They were ready for a full retreat. However, Master Deno refused to leave Master Cosmos behind. He would wait, indefinitly if needed.

"Sir," the comms officer called. "The enemy admiral requests to speak with you."
"And if I don't speak with him," Admiral Gahl asked.
The comms officer turned to him with a slightly ashen face. "Then he will send another frigate to destroy another Star Destroyer," he stated.
The admiral sighed and proceeded towards the comms station. He knew that the gravity well of Kashyyyk will keep any sort of hyperspace suicide attack from the rebels null, since ships cannot be in or enter hyperspace in or near a gravity well, thus the whole point of a gravity well generator amongst a fleet. Despite that comfort, the ship would no doubt continue at a high velocity towards the blockade and could still inflict some sort of damage. And this little chat with the enemy admiral might be a distraction to prevent the Imperials from locating the stealth ship, something Gahl wished to avoid. But that was very unlikely, as a message was sent across the blockade, using a new Imperial security frequency, to set scanners to detect a ship's magnetic signature. Gahl kept himself composed as he approached the comms station.
"This is Admiral Gahl," he said. "What is it that you want, Admiral Gates? Another fake surrender?"

"If it can hold three gunships or the occupants then by all means send it down. I hope the ship can get pass the blockade Master Deno. If not then don't risk it."
The blockade was strong and Master Cosmos believed a capable Admiral was commanding the fleet. He wasn't sure if he could get the gunships pass the blockade or the stealth ship through without doing something miraculous.

Master Deno responded.
"I will send the stealth ship my friend. Be waiting for it."

Admiral Gates looked up at the Imperial Admiral.

"We would like to negotiate with you to allow anyone who aligns themselves with us to leave the planet and return to the Redeemer. We d not wish for more conflict here and will leave as soon as they return." He waited and then stated his next intention. "I also would like to apologize for the loss of your ship, Admiral. When you go to war, i suppose you must lose something." He smiled, awaiting a response.

Meanwhile the stealth ship lifted off and went at full speed into the blockade on its way down to the planet. It would soon arrive past the blockade and enter the atmosphere.

Meanwhile the stealth ship lifted off and went at full speed into the blockade on its way down to the planet. It would soon arrive past the blockade and enter the atmosphere.

The admiral bit back a snide retort. He was about to say something else, when an officer called out, "Sir! We've detected an unidentified signature moving towards the fleet at a high velocity. It appears to be trying to past unnoticed."
Admiral Gahl turned back to the puzzled expression of his enemy. "All is far in love and war, Admiral Gates," Gahl replied. "But there is another old saying I rather enjoy: an eye for an eye. For that Star Destroyer, I think I will take that stealth ship you have been using to pester my forces." The expression the admiral received from Gates was priceless.
"Remember, admiral: when you go to war, you must lose something," Gahl said. He cut off the transmission and turned towards Weapons.
"I want every single weapon on this ship to be used to blow that ship out of the sky!" The Weapons officer nodded and rushed to fulfill that request.
The rest of the blockade was doing the same thing: preparing their guns for the lone stealth ship that was approaching the blockade. The TIE fighters and bombers kept to their usual guarding patterns for now, but were told to rush the enemy ship when given the order. They didn't have to wait long. The order was given within two minutes of the stealth ship being caught on scanners. Any Star Destroyer that had the ship in their sights fired its arsenal at the lone ship. TIE fighters and bombers began to heckle the ship, but turned back to the blockade before they were turned into molten slag from friendly fire. All seemed hopeless for the stealth ship.

Admiral Gates looked up at the Imperial Admiral.

"We would like to negotiate with you to allow anyone who aligns themselves with us to leave the planet and return to the Redeemer. OOC: I can do this because I never actually said Kite, his Starfighter, Red Squadron, some of the Fighter and Bomber Squadrons, returned to the Hangers or that my fleet left the system. Plus now Deno will owe Kite a favor. And you kinda do leave your ships open to another attack by directing ALL your weapons at the Stealth Ship.
IC:
The Imperials appeared to have forgotten Kite's Fleet which had yet to leave the system and it was Kite's Fleet that saved the poor Stealth Ship. Laser Fire streaked down and turned multiple TIE Fighters into molten slag. Eyes were drawn to the shooter which was Kite in his Starfighter followed by Red Squadron and two Squadrons of Y-Wings which took advantage of the element of shock effective over the Star Destroyers. They had mere moments before the Star Destroyers would recover from said shock but that was all they needed. The Bomber Squadrons split into two groups each and hit the four Star Destroyers closest to the Stealth Ship. One group targeted a large amount of a Star Destroyers forward Guns. Another had its Hangers and Tractor Beam Emitter Targeted. The third had its engines targeted. And the fourth was treated to a Bombing Run of its Bridge. All bombed heavily.
Kite contacted the Stealth Ship as he took on two TIE's. "Stealth Ship get down there now! We wont be able to keep them occupied long!" Meanwhile two more Fighter Squadrons from Kite's fleet came in to start blasting. By this time though the initial shock of the Imperials was worn off and the battle began.

The four Star Destroyers were hit, but the remaining Star Destroyers focused their weapons on Kite and his forces. TIE fighters were diverted away to deal with the fighters and bombers that had been pestering the Imperial forces for some time now. TIE bombers and the Star Destroyer Avenger continued to pummel the stealth ship. Gahl would have had his Star Destroyer lock onto Kite's Delta-7 with its tractor beam, but his current ship was the one that lost its tractor beam. And even if the stealth ship managed to get past the blockade, there were still Star Destroyers and plenty of TIE fighters on the planet to finish the job.
"Give the Star Destroyers below warning of what is coming their way and have them set their scanners to detect a ship's magnetic signature," Gahl called to Comms. The bridge shook as it took another hit from somewhere. "And contact the nearest system for some anti-fighter support and tell them to have it here within the next few hours! I am tired of these gnats damaging our ships!"

Kite knew they needed to divert more attention away from the Stealth Ship but also knew it was lost. Kite broke off with Red Squadron in tow. "Red Squadron follow me, we're gonna give our boys an escort." The twenty-five Starfighters darted towards the planet below intending to escort the Gunships off planet.
