The United Empire of Exucular wrote:Every Jedi on Kashyyyk felt the disturbance in the Force only minutes before the Imperial fleet came into orbit. Quinlan Vos saw the fleet of ships move into positions and knew that Master Cosmos and his companions were trapped unless an opening was made. He was about to do something rash when his communicator started to beep. It was Master Cosmos.
"Master Vos, You have to leave us or else you could be captured or even destroyed by the Imperial ships. That CR90 Corvette can only take so much damage. My first officer knows the coordinates to our base of operations. Tell him to make a few random jumps before returning home."
"We can't leave you Master Cosmos! You'll be trapped on Kashyyyk with Imperials swarming the surface."
"We'll be fine, don't worry about us. I've been in worse situations. Just leave while you still can. May the Force be with you."
Quinlan Vos informed the first officer and moments later they were out of the Kashyyyk system just as a few TIE fighters showed up to investigate the craft.

"Do it now, and have your men prepare to move. We are leaving."
Master Marek picked up his son and followed Master Cosmos out the door.
"It appears we'll have to go into hiding for a short amount of time. Captain, do you think if you can contact your Cruiser it can provide us with an opening and a means off Kashyyyk?"

The Pilot ran up with a hologram of Commander Tenzin of Kites 2nd Strike Fleet. "General. Good to see you again. We served side by side in the Clone Wars remember at the Battle of Jabim. In any case my Strike Fleet of three Cruisers and two Light Cruisers has been dispatched in combination with your Evacuation fleet. We'll have a number of advantages over the Imperial Fleet, one we'll have surprise, two we'll come out behind them so they wont be able to fire until they've turned around." The Commander turned to the Captain. "Fordo keep him in one piece."

The admiral of the fleet was curled at Vader's feet, clawing at his neck to release the invisible pressure that was causing him to suffocate. Vader looked down at the officer with his arm extended out at him.
"You're failure to keep that ship in this system is most aggravating to me, admiral," Vader growled. The admiral only coughed and gagged in reply.
"Lord Vader," an officer called from the crew pit. "We intercepted a transmission from the surface. We believe it may be connected to a rebel group in the area."
At this, Vader released his "grip" on the admiral's neck and directed his attention to the officer, leaving the admiral gulping down air like a landed fish.
"What were the contents of the transmission," Vader asked.
"Though the transmission was short," the officer explained, "we managed to learn that two fleets are to arrive here, one consisting of five cruisers of varying degree and an evacuation fleet of unknown content. We have yet to know at this time when they will arrive." The officer went rigid. "What are your orders, Lord Vader?"
"My orders have not changed," Vader stated as he proceeded down the main walkway between the two crew pits. "We shall let the enemy come to us. And admiral?"
The admiral was struggling to get to his feat, causing two naval officers to come to his aid. The admiral turned to face the Dark Lord, his face pale with both fright and nausea.
"Do not fail me again," Vader threatened. The lift's doors closed before Vader, leaving a chilled silence on the deck of the bridge. The admiral was brought to an open chair and offered medical attention, but the admiral waved off the help and began to send out his orders.
The Imperial Star Destroyers turned themselves so that they could be parallel with the planet below, giving them the ability to still perform their blockade duties, while giving them the chance to protect themselves from an attack. The few CC-2200s that were in the system were forced to shift to the planet-side part of the blockade, preventing them from being hit by any attackers and giving them the chance to still prevent any escape. As the maneuvers were being completed, Darth Vader's shuttle left the hangar of the Devastator and was bound for the planet below. The Dark Lord resisted the temptation to scan for the Force wielder with the Force and focused more on preparing himself for the coming battle.

ON TYTHON

Kite felt something stiring in the force. Something great. Something powerful. Vader is on the hunt. Kite quickly sent a message to Master's Dy'lan and Dino telling them to take a 4th of their fleets and meet him at Kashyyk. He mentioned Vader on the hunt and Master Cosmos may be the prey. Kite quickly found Commander Striker. "Striker gather the battalion I want every soldier ready to move out and bring Commander Tenzin and the Evacuation fleet back now!" Striker nodded and soon Kites troops were hurrying to their ships.
In space Admiral Wilvan received orders to prep the fleet for launch to Kashyyk. With Tenzin and the Evacuation Fleet heading to Kashyyk, Kite's fleet was now a mere seven Venators, nine Arquitens, and five Acclamators and a couple thousand Fighters and a couple thousand bombers. But they would head to Kashyyk to strike down Vader. Because for Kite this was personal. Vader killed his Master.
Kite was not given to the Jedi by his parents like others, no. His father died before he was born and his mother in child birth. Arklight was an old friend to his parents and gave Kite a home amongst the Jedi. He trained him from the time he was five years old and aided him through life. Most Jedi may be able to end up running across their parents in life but Kite could not. Arklight was like a second father to him and then Order 66 came. Kite lost contact with his Master after just finishing the Trials and becoming a Jedi Knight. He was with Arklight's old fleet and battalion that now served under him, out searching a Nebula System for escaping Separatist Forces, thus they didn't get Order 66. And now Arklight was dead and Kite had a chance for revenge.

ON KASHYYK

The Pilot came back over to Master Cosmos with a new message from the Commander this time using encryption code from the Republic Navy. It read; General, our forces have been forced to retreat back to Jabim due to being intercepted by Imperial Star Destroyers. Will send what aid we can, -Commander Tenzin. Captain Fordo informed Master Cosmos that Tenzin must have been using an opposite Message Code. "His message is most likely in opposite form meaning that General Tenjo is sending more troops. In the meantime General, with your permission I would like to send some of my men to the Wookies aid."

The Jedi orders fleet above the temple was a mere 23 Arquitans, 10 republic frigates, 3 Acclamators which served as command ships, and 1 larger modified MC80 Liberty type star destroyer he recently attained from his allies on Mon Calimari. The Neomodians to offered a ship, be Dy'lan had declined citing the ships were better fitted for droids than life forms.

Master Deno had already merged his fleet with Dy'lans to create the fleet named the 1st Jedi Order Fleet detachment. The fleet was only 37 strong, but Dy'lan new it could give a lot of aid. Not much out there could match a MC80, except an Imperial Star Destroyer, which was an even match. He ascended to his flagship, named the Redeemer and gathered 10 Arquitans, 1 acclamator, and 2 frigates. He would soon arrive at the planet Kashyyk and contacted Master Cosmos for an update. He wanted to know exactly what his fleet was coming into so they could be prepared, and the role it was needed for.

"Master Cosmos, it is good to say i am on my way. I would like to know what role i may play, and the most recent Imperial statistics."

Vader made his way towards the Jedi he was seeking, striking down Wookie opposition without any remorse. A TIE fighter screamed overhead, firing green bolts into the nearby trees. The strafing caused a wooden bridge to burn and break apart, taking eight Wookies with it as the debris spilled down to the jungle floor several hundred feet below. Vader took another bridge that was close by, slicing through several Wookies to cross to the other side.
As he continued forward, he could feel that he was getting close. What other opposition remained was quickly dispatched with. Vader, after walking another hundred feet, came across a clearing that held nothing but a large hut at its far end. The hut was a similar to all other huts created by Wookies, however the entrance was covered by a large gray cloth with a red half-circle with three curved prongs protruding from its top: a family crest of some sort. Vader scanned the clearing with the Force, trying to locate his query. He motioned to the two stormtroopers that had followed him.
"Search the hut," Vader ordered. The two stormtroopers quickly complied and rushed for the hut to begin their search.

This was Vader's mistake. Captain Fordo leaned his head out from behind a tree. "Got 'em." He took his two DC-17 Pistols out of their Holsters and then spun around the tree letting off two quick shots. Two stormtroopers dropped dead. Fordo stepped forward as the other ten ARC Troopers revealed themselves. Dropping down from branches, rushing from bushes, all surrounding Vader with their arsenal of weaponry. The Quad Cannon pointed at Vader's back was probably the most threatening. "Former General Skywalker, I suggest you surrender. And our superiors might grant you enough mercy to live an extra hour. But I make no promises. TAKE HIM!" And so the weaponry opened fire. Captain Fordo had his Trusty two DC-17 Blaster Pistols, three ARC's had Grenade Launcher equipped Repeating Blaster Rifles, one had a Portable Quad Cannon, another had a Chain Gun, two had Repeating Blaster Rifles, and three had DC-15 Blaster Rifles.

After giving the clones permission to aid the wookiee population Master Cosmos turned his attention to the situation at hand. He knew that him and his fellow Jedi had been discovered by which ever Dark Side user was leading the fleet above. He knew that a battle like the one on Naboo would prove very costly for both sides, especially the Wookiee population. He wanted his group out of the system with as little actual conflict as possible. Using the Fore he contacted Master Deno who was surely leading the rescue party.
Master Deno, their is an invasion fleet above Kashyyyk. Dark side user leading the fleet. Try to avoid conflict for as long as possible. Expect everything from Star Destroyers to TIE fighters. Get here as soon as possible.
Master Cosmos made it short and to the point considering he had to move quick. Turning to Master Marek he told them to mask their force signatures as best he could and follow the Clones away from the area. He said to preferably take the land-speeders. Both of them felt the strong presence of the Dark side nearby and knew that it would be best to leave.
"What about you?"
"I'll stay and buy you all enough time to get away safely or at the very least make it appear that I was the one that Vader or Palpatine sensed was here. Don't worry about me. We'll meet again soon, take your son to safety."
"Good Luck Master Cosmos. May the force be with you."
and with those final words Master Marek speeded off to wait Master Cosmos's return.

He sliced the trooper's grenade launcher in half and then flung the trooper straight into his comrades. Deflecting any blaster bolts that came his way, Vader then proceeded towards the second ARC trooper with the grenade launcher. Any trooper that got in his way was quickly cut down, making Vader's job a little easier.
The second trooper was dealt with similarly to the first, though Vader gave that trooper a swift death. Vader spotted the last grenadier and proceeded to eliminate him.

"Hey Lunk head! Suck Laser!" The Trooper with the Chain Gun shouted as he opened direct fire on Vader while his companion with the Quad Cannon opened fire as well with several shots striking the Dark Lord flinging him into a tree as they continued to fire. Vader deflected every shot that came at him, but he was not going to last much longer. He tried to think of how he was going to dispose of these troopers. His solution happened to be right behind him. Vader quickly ducked behind the tree he was cornered to and cut it down in one swing. As the tree collapsed, Vader grasped it with the Force and flung the tree at the troopers. The tree hit its mark and crushed anyone that happened to be where it landed. Vader hopped over the fallen tree and decapitated the few clones that happened to still be alive under the tree. He turned to the ARC captain at the entrance of the hut.
"Nice try, clone," Vader said. "But you are still no match for the Dark Side. Give me the location of the Jedi and I will make your deaths quick."

Vader struggled against the pain as the electricity raced through all of his armor and body. His vision began to blur, whether from pain or his suit's systems shutting down, Vader couldn't tell. It felt as if the Emperor were punishing Vader with a torrent of Force lightning, as he usually did if Vader really displeased him. Or when he was battling Mace Windu on that fateful night on Coruscant...
Vader suddenly filled up with anger, not just at being beaten by a clone trooper, but at his "master", Darth Sidious. Vader used that anger to his advantage. He built up what little concentration he could and used the Force to repel the three ARC troopers away from him. The blast managed to fling all three ARC troopers away from Vader, with one flying straight into a rocky cliff and the other falling over a cliff near the clearing. The captain, Vader saw, was blasted into the base of the hut, alive but barely maintaining consciousness.
Vader cut the electrical wire from his helmet and threw away what was left. His breathing was a little labored, but he would manage. He stood over the ARC captain and lowered his lightsaber to Fordo's throat, the crimson blade mere centimeters from killing the clone.
"A valiant effort, but futile," Vader growled. "Now I shall ask again: where are the Jedi?"

Master Cosmos had just made it back to the hut when the tree collapsed on the ARC clones. Using the force he was just able to save two of the clones before the tree and Vader killed the rest. After making sure both were fine he told them to lie low until he returned. Using the force he grabbed their weapons and placed them at their feet.
"Your armed but Vader can still kill you just by flicking his wrist."
As he continued towards the hut he watched as Vader was electrocuted. He stopped for a moment before quickly moving towards Vader again once he overpowered the Clones. He caught the clone that fell of the cliff and brought him around to the other two clones.
Leaping into the air he landed in between Vader and Captain Fordo. At the same time he used his own lightsaber to block the crimson blade and followed up by force pushing Vader back a few yards. Gently picking up the Captain he placed him off to the side so he wouldn't be in the way of the coming battle.
"It appears you've found me Vader. I can't say I'm surprised. I knew we would eventually meet."

The Clone whom had carried the Quad Cannon grunted as life began to leave him but saw his Captain was in danger. He limped over to the remains of the Cannon. "Eat Laser!" The Soldier croaked as he used the last of his energy to pull the Trigger and an energy bolt slammed into Vader's helmet head on. Fordo grabbed a Detonator from his belt in one hand and then grabbed Vaders wrist with his other. "One goes and we both go!" With that Fordo slammed his thumb onto the button and the Thermal Detonator went off.

OOC: sorry guys. i said Master Dy'lan was leading the mission, but i would rather have Master Deno. Imagine i said Master Deno was leading the mission :) .

IC:

The Redeemer snapped out of light speed. Surely the large ship, almost as large as a star destroyer with a powerful shield signature, was detected. The Imperials likely laughed for a brief minute, until over a dozen more maneuverable ships arrived behind the massive cruiser. Master Deno seen a larg Imperial fleet above the planet, and did not wish to engage. He had received the force message and would meet its every criteria. He ordered the fleet to stay out of firing range while the 2 frigates he had brought maneuver the long way along with the Acclamator and land nearest the planet while avoiding the sith forces. He contacted the sith forces, attempting to stall as his ships moved at max speed to bypass the blockade.

"I am Master Deno. I am here to negotiate the terms of our surrender."

"Admiral," an officer of the Devastator called. "We have detected several ships exiting hyperspace. Three are maneuvering towards us, while the rest are holding at their exit coordinates."
The communications officer called from his seat, "Sir, we have just received a hail from the largest ship in the fleet. It's from a Jedi Master wishing to surrender. What should I do, sir?"
The admiral thought about both officer's statements briefly. "What is the class of the enemy's flagship," the admiral asked.
"It appears to be an MC80 starliner, sir," the officer at the scanning station called. The admiral nearly choked on his laughter at that.
"A starliner," the admiral asked. "Are you sure that is the class?"
"Aye, sir," the officer confirmed. "Configuration matches the description of that Mon Calamari luxury ship. It could potentially have weapons, sir."
"It doesn't matter," the admiral snapped, returning to the seriousness of the situation at hand. "Comms, tell that Jedi that we accept his surrender. Inform him to bring his fleet closer and deactivate all shielding and weapons they may have. If he questions this order, tell him it is strictly the protocol for the capture of surrendering ships."
"Aye, sir," the comms officer said and went ahead to do just that.
"Weapons, as soon as I give the order, focus all fire on the enemy flagship," the admiral said. "Comms, inform the fleet to attack the enemy ships on my command. And inform all ships to stay in formation. If we do have three ships on approach, I don't want to give them an opening."
"What shall we do about them, sir," the NCO asked. The admiral turned to his second in command.
"We still have plenty of TIE fighters left, along with most of our bomber squadrons," the admiral said. "We simply send them to finish off our "sneaky" foes."
The orders were sent and within minutes, the fleet had adjusted to their orders and five TIE fighter squadrons and eight TIE bombers were sent to intercept the three starships trying to slip past the blockade. The admiral watched the plan unfold with a grin. This would be a blue milk run, he joked.

This was the distraction Kite and his fleet needed to come out of Hyperspace. As this transaction occurred, Kites Venator Flagship, thirteen other Venators, thirteen Arquitens, and five Acclamators, accompanied by thousands of sole Z-95 Starfighters and Y-Wing Bombers came out of Hyperspace within the midst of the Imperial Fleet. They quickly opened fire upon the enemy whom were not expecting Kite's fleet to come out right inside their fleet. Ship to Ship not long range which Star Destroyers were usually better suited for. Kite's Flagship came out right next to the Bridge of the Devastator and began firing with its many Decks of Broadside Guns. The Sole Fighters and Bombers began their attack as well as Kite's personal Starfighter soared out of the Flagship Hanger and began blasting apart TIE Fighters as he and a special elite Fighter Squadron escorted five Gunships towards Kashyyk.

OOC: Decius, I took the liberty of italicizing everything I found wrong with your last post.
1.) While I remember (and I double-checked) that you said had thousands of fighters when you found your clone legion at Vancor (I'm not even sure the number of starships you had would be able to accommodate them all), you said you only had twelve Venators. Where did you get the other two?
Note: I get that this is stupid, but I just needed to bring it up.
2.) I'm going to get very nerdy here, so bear with me. The Imperial blockade is close enough to Kashyyyk that you fleet can't (let me repeat: can't!) get behind the blockade. Why? One reason: a gravity well. Every ship in the Star Wars universe has a device connected to its hyperdrive core to tell it when it can proceed into hyperspace. For reasons that I can't remember at the moment, a ship cannot enter or exit hyperspace in a solar mass's gravity well, as it would most likely crush the vessels that dared to attempt it. Which couldn't happen since the device hooked up to the hyperdrive communicates with the navigation computer to know when to bring a ship out of hyperspace before a gravity well should the crew not respond quickly enough.
In summation, you cannot bring your forces behind mine because (1) Planetary gravity well and (2) your ships' electronics won't allow it.
3.) The Imperial I-class Star Destroyers could hold themselves well in a ship-to-ship fight. The reason that Star Destroyers were being blown up left and right in Return of the Jedi (which I assume this assumption is coming from) was for the fact that the Emperor was controlling the Empire using battle meditation and numerous other enhancements through the Force, making the Empire as feared as it was for 20+ years. When he died, all of those Force enhancements went with him, making those Star Destroyers prime targets for the Mon Calamari cruisers, which carried a large compliment of ion cannons to drain a Star Destroyer's shields anyway.
4.) How is Kite at Kashyyyk when he is at Tython worrying about going inside that mysterious base with Master Deno?

1.) I just lost count of how many Cruisers there were.

2.) The fleet didn't come out behind them, it came out within them. You know how at the Battle over Coruscant in Episode III all those ships were at close range and the like.

3.) I'm saying that to basically say that my forces are highly confident. And that we have surprise on our side and the fact that we came out at close not long range.

OOC: The Battle of Coruscant may have taken place close to the planet, but the Separatist fleet came out of hyperspace beyond the gravity well of the planet, which was shown at the end of the original Star Wars: the Clone Wars series. And even if your forces were to jump right in between my forces, it still couldn't happen. I said my forces were too near to Kashyyyk for that to happen. So, your forces are just as prone to my blockade as Deno's forces.
Also, I even said in one of my IC posts that the Imperials found out about your plan to assist Master Cosmos, so it was completely aware of your plan before you arrived. It was the whole reason for my Star Destroyers going parallel to Kashyyyk so that they could hit any target coming up or going to the planet.

OOC: Ah but my fleet was coming from a different direction to Master Deno's ships. In any case can we just get to the fighting. This arguing is taking away the excitement.
