"Because they have no free will does not mean we should sacrifice ours for their lives. They have killed thousands of Jedi, and we can not sit aside and wait until we ourselves die. We have only a short time to stop the Empire before there is no hope. We must remember that the purpose of life is to create a legacy that will out last it. I intend to create a legacy of peace for generations." Master Dy'lan waited for a response. It seemed the plan would be passed.

"We do what we must in order to achieve peace within the Galaxy. As long as the Empire is the dominant power no one is safe. I'm already seeing the seeds of slavery here on Kashyyyk as more and more wookiees are "disappearing" daily. Soon enough Stormtroopers will just shuttle down from Star Destroyers and steal them in broad daylight. Horrors like this will most likely spread throughout the Galaxy if we don't stop the Emperor."

Kite then put forward the point which would end the militarilization of the Order. "But are we the ones destined to do so. I sense that it is not the destiny of any Jedi here to topple the Empire. Only pave the way for those who will. I believe we are not the ones who will deal the hammer blow. We must let the events of the future unfold without interferrance."

"We had a similiar view in the past. Millions have died and millions more will to. When people turn to the jedi, what shall we say? 'We must let this happen.' No, we must put a stop to Imperial expansion."

Kite then had an angry outburst. "And where did that get us in ancient times with the first and second Great Galactic Wars! Where did that get us in the Clone Wars!" His shouts echoed throughout the Chamber as silence followed.

Krass frowned at that. His discussion with Abeloth was still fresh in his mind and he could sympathize with Kite's point-of-view, however the images of that large alien (Yuuzhan Vong, Krass reminded himself) fleet descending on that helpless planet proved one point: even if the members in the Order here would not destroy the Empire, at least they were doing something to stop all of this madness. I wonder how all of this fits into Abeloth's plans, Krass thought for a moment, but shook it off the next. He would drive himself mad if he dared to continue to think like that.
The Jedi Master turned his attention to Kite. "While I agree with what you are saying, Kite," Krass began, "I must disagree with your reasoning behind this plea to not interfere with the galaxy's fate. The Jedi Order, in times of war, has always sent its members to fight against the enemy, whether that foe were the Sith or the Separatists.
"My point is this: when dark times fall upon the galaxy, the Jedi Order has led the galaxy through the darkness and back into the light. What the Order does to bring the galaxy back into the light will, upon reflection, seem a bit contradictory to our teachings, but the Order has always returned to what it had been before and this time is no different from the last. In fact, we are still in that last time.
"In summation, we must do what we can to help restore peace and stability in the galaxy, no matter the cost. However, we cannot lose sight of what we were in the past, no matter what. That being said, I believe we should continue our meditations and review our lessons from the past. The Order has survived purges like this before and it will survive this one as well. I'm sure we can all agree with this?"
Krass turned to see Celeste give a slight nod of approval and returned the gesture in kind. Krass quickly checked the navigation chart as he waited for the Order to reflect on Krass' words and to make a decision regarding the Imperial fleet.

"I agree. It is our duty to keep order, and we arent helping the situation by doing nothing. We must act to restore peace and order. If we do nothing, we would be just as helpful to dsband the order all together. Let us stand for Justice and Peace, and let us destroy the Imperial scum who threaten us and this galaxy. If the plan to destroy as many Imperial Admirals as possible is approved, then I will go seek the help of the people of Pantorra(Hint Hint: Pantorrum :) )."
He paused for a breif moment.
"We also should try to speak with and convince certain officials to help us. Sources tell me Yularen, a great former Republic admiral, is now in the Intelligence service as a high ranking officer, serving directly under the Emperor himself. We may be able to recruit his help."

Kite scoffed as he leaned forward. "Your sources are false. Admiral Yualaren is in command of my fleet and commanded Master Arklight's fleet before Master Arklight fell at the Emperors hands. He's on my Command Cruiser in orbit now."

OOC: Look in the first pages of the RP back when Powerline as still around and you'll find Yualaran commanding Arklight's forces. And then I made multiple references during Geonosis to how Yualaran now command's Kite's fleet.

OOC: That would interfer with the story line, as he was essential to the Emperor securing command of the Death Star and making sure no one took the weapon for their own.

Master Cosmos was thinking about what was currently being said amongst the Council Members. They all brought up good points concerning events and how to proceed with them. He stayed quit so he could here what the others had to say.

OOC: I know Yularen has been with your forces since the beginning of the RP, however he isn't supposed to be there. In the real Star Wars universe, though, Yularen was a part of the Imperial Security Bureau after the rise of the Empire and he was an important member of the ISB. I think you should come up with another leader with your forces, as we all have, so that we can keep the RP as realistic as possible.

Master Cosmos spoke up," Do any of you know anyone within the Empire that you trust? We're going to need as many friends and collaborators as we can if we want to make a difference."

He had already talked to Master Krass about this but he wanted to hear from the others as well.

Master Deno spoke.
"I used to be aquanted with Admiral Yularen. He may have forgotten me be now though."
Then, Master Dy'lan spoke.
"I know a few Star Destroy captains that had served under me and my master when I was a knight. They were good allies and may help us. If so, we would have 3 captains of 3 strategic star destroyers to aid us. Not to mention I have some Neomodian contacts. Always greedy for money, the people of Neomodia may feel betrayed and could help us in a war."

"Hopefully your right. I myself served alongside the personnel within the Special Operations Brigade before Order 66. I'm not sure if the Jedi commanders survived but I know for certain the SOB was remade into some new Imperial force. I've met a few starship captains but I'm not sure if they are still with the Imperial Military."

Kite spoke again this time calmed down but rubbing his forehead, an obvious sign he had a headache. Kite remembered back to his own days training with Master Arklight. The Jungle Obstacle Course on Teth, the astronomy charting on Naboo, the freezing meditation on Rhen Var. He smiled and winced at the pain it brought. "My friends, before we act against the Empire we must replenish our numbers but not be hasty about it. The point of having Master Paratus..." Kite gave his hologram a congratulatory look. "...unlock the Khyber Crystal, no easy feat, was to seek out, protect, and recruit the Force-Sensitive Children of the Galaxy. But, and heed my words here, we must not act as we did in the Clone Wars by rushing unready Padawans into Knighthood. We also must heed Master Yoda's famous saying 'Patience, the key it is'." Kite let that sink in before his next words. "These Padawans need Masters who can complete their training to every aspect. Think back yourselves. Would you be the same Jedi you are now without your Masters being their to see it through to the end? No rebuttles right now just think. Close your eyes, let the Force bring those memories forward."

Master Cosmos thought about this. He remembered the lessons his Master taught him. The Jedi ways, customs, and duties. His Master made sure everything he taught stayed with him. Master Cosmos believed that Master Kite was right over the subject of patience. There are only a hand full of Jedi left in the galaxy. Even though there are still Jedi to train the younglings and padawans it would be a waste to just send them of without giving them complete training.

Master Dy'lan could sense the thoughts around him. He spoke. He had been holding a secret for some time.
"I plan on taking padawan learner Leo Ki in as my padawan and teach him, with council approval. I believe he is very skilled and is ready to be awarded the rank of Padawan. He is far to skilled to remain with the younglings. Not to mention, we have plenty of Padawans waiting for Masters. Ive just been waiting for us all to speak about it. Over a dozen need a master, but we can only take 1 at a time. Perhaps someone is in need of a Padawn?"

Krass thought on Kite's words. He remembered Master Jeth's teachings and how he had treated Krass his entire life. The Jedi Master couldn't think of what he would have been had Master Jeth not taught him properly. Krass shuttered at the thought. I don't want to know what would have happened, he thought. Krass then peered into the cockpit ahead of him and saw Maris still asleep. I wonder if I am teaching her properly, Krass thought. It wasn't easy to teach a padawan when one has an entire galaxy looking to destroy the both the padawan and the master. And whenever Krass was able to teach Maris, he used Master Jeth's methods of teaching to ensure that Maris would at least avoid the Dark Side. He only hoped that Maris will heed his teachings and stay with the Order, perhaps even raise an apprentice herself. One step at a time, Krass, he reminded himself.
Krass was shaken out of his thoughts as the shuttle leapt out of hyperspace just above Illum. Krass began a scan of the planet to get an idea of weather conditions near the Jedi Temple and the Crystal Caves. From what he could see, there was a blizzard in the area, but it was a relatively light one and it was fine to land. Satisfied with what he saw, Krass guided the shuttle down to the surface, while he bid his farewells to the Council. The shuttle flew through a wall of white clouds and strong winds to get to the surface, finally touching down near the opening of the Crystal Caves. The landing seemed to wake up Maris as Krass saw her finally stir in her seat as he shut down the engines and other nonessential systems. As Krass lowered his seat and opened the hatch, Maris met with him and gazed at the castle-like structure at the mouth of the caves.
"Incredible," Maris breathed.
"And that is just the outside," Krass said and he motioned inside. "The caves are even more magnificent."
Maris and Krass proceeded inside, a little quickly too, on account of the cold. On the way in, Krass sensed something out of place in the caves. As he extended his senses to find out what it was, the presence disappeared. Krass frowned at that. Who else could be here, Krass wondered.
He kept his guard up as he followed behind Maris to the main chamber outside of the caves. Here, Maris stared at the giant wall of ice blocking the entrance. As she stared, Krass used the Force to melt the ice and reveal the entrance to the caves. Maris, in her excitement, nearly rushed into the caves without her instructions. Krass stopped her in time and informed his apprentice to trust her feelings to find her crystal.
"But how will I know that I have found the right one," Maris asked.
"You will know," Krass said, receiving an unsatisfied look from Maris.
"Is there anything else I need to know," Maris asked.
"Yes there is," Krass said and he gestured to the entrance. "This entrance, in twelve hours, will seal itself again. Once it does, it will not reopen until the next apprentice comes to make his or her lightsaber, trapping whoever is inside the caves until that time."
That caused Maris's usually bright pink skin to flush a dull white. "Has that ever happened to any Jedi before," Maris asked.
Krass shrugged. "From what I know, no, but I'm sure it happened to a few poor souls at one point or other," he said. He grinned. "Don't worry, Maris. You will be out of the caves well before the twelve hours have passed. Now you might want to move, since the twelve hours began as I open the entrance."
Maris didn't hesitate. She bolted into the caves to search for her crystal, leaving Krass to meditate in the chamber. As he did so, he felt the presence again, though much closer. And it was getting even closer. Krass didn't react when he felt the presence enter the chamber and proceed slowly towards him. He could sense the curiosity and fear in the individual behind him, not to mention the Force radiating off the figure. Assuming the worst, Krass spoke up.
"Is there something I can do for you," Krass asked.
The figure froze. Krass got up and turned to face the newcomer. Before him stood a man in his mid-twenties with a light beard growing on his face and thick, long black hair draping his forehead. In his hand was a lightsaber, ready to be used for a fight.
"Who are you," the man asked. "Another bounty hunter?"
"If I were a bounty hunter, why would I be here," Krass asked. "I am Jedi Master Krass Undelles. And you are?"
The title "Jedi Master" seemed to calm the young man down a little. He replaced his lightsaber onto his belt.
"Ferus Olin," he said. "Sorry for the introduction. We just had a bounty hunter chasing us a few days before and we didn't know if we lost him."
"We," Krass echoed. "There are more Jedi here?"
"Only a couple," Ferus said. He frowned. "Why are you here exactly?"
"I brought my apprentice to find her lightsaber crystal," Krass replied.
Ferus grinned at that. "Ah, The Gathering," he said with a slight chuckle. "Well, I guess we have some time then. Let me take you to the others."
Without any delay, Krass followed Ferus to the upper levels of the Temple to find the other Jedi hiding out.

Master Cosmos said his farewells to Master Krass before he left.
"I am in need of a padawan but I wish to wait a while before choosing one. I may find my new apprentice by my travels in finding other members of the Jedi. There may be an abandoned padawan out there waiting for their training to be completed."

After climbing several flights of stairs, Krass and Ferus entered the living quarters of the Jedi Temple, however the term "living" could hardly be used. The halls and rooms, though sheltered from the snow and the blistering cold outside, still had a thin layer of ice along their surfaces and permeated cold air. It wasn't until the two arrived at the top levels of the living quarters that Krass felt relief from the cold through portable heaters scattered throughout the hall and a few rooms.
"How long have you been here," Krass asked.
"Only a couple standard days," Ferus replied. "Though it has felt like a month. I think I've had my fill of this cold and snow for a while."
The two Jedi stopped outside of a pair of large doors at the top of the last flight of stairs.
"In here," Ferus said and opened the doors. Krass followed the younger Jedi inside.
Like the hallway and the rooms below, there were a few portable heaters scattered through out the small circular room Ferus and Krass stood in. The room reminded Krass of a meditation chamber commonly found in any Jedi Temple and that was most likely what it was, as two Jedi sat in the center of the room in deep meditation. The two Jedi barely stirred when Krass and Ferus arrived. The older of the two Jedi Masters was the first to acknowledge the newcomers.
"Ah, young Ferus," the Jedi Master said, "have you found what the disturbance was?"
"I have." Ferus gestured to Krass. "And I found that it was just a Jedi Master bringing his apprentice to search for her lightsaber crystal."
The old man looked at Krass and his eyes lit up with joy. "Thank the Force," he said. "Another Jedi Master has escaped the clutches of the Empire. And with an apprentice too!"
The younger of the Jedi Masters finally stirred from his meditation.
"Master Muln, what are you..." He stopped short on the sight of Krass. "Another Jedi? Here?"
"Yes," Ferus confirmed. "This is Master Undelles." Ferus turned to Krass and introduced the other Jedi Masters. "This is Master Muln"- he gestured to the old Jedi Master and then gestured to the younger Master- "and this is Master Kenobi."
Krass was stunned to hear that. "Master Kenobi," he repeated. "I thought you had perished during the chaos of Order 66."
"Fortunately, I was able to escape from my forces on Utapau before they could fulfill their orders," Obi-Wan stated. "So tell me, Master Undelles, where did you come from?"
Krass explained that he had come from the Karthakk system, where he and his padawan had been hiding for the past standard week after leaving the Zhar system. He didn't dare mention that he was accompanied by a giant shipyard and a large fleet of warships as he didn't want to get the Jedi involved with that business.
"If you wish, you could accompany me and my padawan back to the Karthakk system to stay for a while," Krass offered.
"We would be honored," Master Garen Muln said before he was cut off by Ferus.
"However, we will have to decline," he said. "We already have a hideout established and we don't wish to inconvenience you."
Krass shrugged. It was probably for the best, he concluded. Then it was his turn to be given an offer.
"Would you like to follow us to our destination," Obi-Wan asked.
Krass thought about that for a moment. He wondered if he could afford to spend a few more days away from the safety of the fleet and he concluded that he could. It couldn't hurt to at least know where another enclave was, Krass thought.
"My padawan and I would be honored to go with you," Krass said. And with that, it was settled.
"Excellent," Garen said with some joy. "It will be nice to have a couple more Jedi join us."
From there, the Jedi alternated between meditation and chatting about how each Jedi managed to escape death at the end of the Clone Wars, though neither Jedi, except Muln, would say where they were hiding for the past few months. After a while, Krass sensed that Maris had completed her task and was now on her way back to the main chamber. With that, the Jedi got up and collected the heaters, then proceeded to the chamber outside of the caves.
As the group arrived, Maris skidded into the chamber, barely missing the freezing ice by a couple of inches. She turned back in time to see the entrance seal up once again. Maris turned back to the group and was stunned to see new faces.
After introductions were exchanged, Krass asked, "May I see your crystal, Maris?"
Maris nodded and presented a crystal and gave it to her master. Krass examined it. The crystal was the size of Krass's index finger and it was a brilliant shade of green, indicating that Maris would be very skilled in the use of the Force and diplomacy rather than combat. Krass was not at all surprised by the results and he gave the crystal back to Maris.
"Very good, Maris," Krass stated. "Take care of this crystal, my padawan."
"Absolutely, Master," Maris said and returned the crystal to a pocket in her robe. "So what do we do now? Return to the fleet?"
Krass slightly cringed at the use of the word "fleet", but he quickly recovered. "No," he said. "Instead, we are going to follow Masters Kenobi, Muln, and Knight Olin to their hiding location."
"Do you think that is wise, Master," Maris asked.
"Don't worry," Ferus interjected. "The location of our enclave is safe from any Imperial detection, so you don't have to worry about them or anybody else bearing down on us. You expecting company?"
"You could say that," Krass said. Ferus took the hint.
"Whoever it is, they won't get you," Ferus said, hooking his thumbs into his belt. "Both of you will be safe under our watch."
That being said, the group proceeded outside to their ships. As Krass and Maris prepared their Nu-class shuttle for launch, Ferus, Obi-Wan and Garen boarded their ship. Within a few minutes, the two ships were in space, preparing to jump to their target location.
"You two wouldn't mind if we did a random jump would you," Ferus called over the comm system.
"Not at all," Krass said. "Just transmit our destination coordinates."
"Copy, standby." Krass's navigation computer gave a chirp when the coordinates were fully embedded into its systems. "We'll meet you there. May the Force be with you."
"And you." Krass pulled the hyperspace throttle and the shuttle leapt into hyperspace, leaving Illum behind.
