Speaking in terms of raw power, both Zeus and Poseidon are stronger than him.

But let's make this clear - any time someone dies, they now serve Hades. So, even though Poseidon and Zeus can build these massive armies, Hades only needs to kill a few to outnumber them.

Hades could tear Olympus down, but he doesn't, because he's the only sane man.

Hades is also smarter than them both.

Which is why my oneshots have him be very good friends with Athena.

Though he thinks, as does all the universe, that Ganesh can go fuck himself.

Hades is an emotional cripple, though; if he didn't spend so much time moping around, he could do a lot of good.

But, hey, at least he isn't Zeus.

If I recall, the only God to get his life together, figure out a good path and become a productive society member is Dionysus, the god of wine.

He heads a Scottish pub and sounds like an English professor.

Everything in the News thread is supposed to be set in 2020.

Yes, this pisses off.

Although I suppose there's something somewhat serious in the fact that Old Spice has a complete monopoly of the men's bodywash industry now.

Some idiots truly believe it will be Manchester?

First of all, its Manchester. I feel dirty just saying the name. Second of all, I said in Elfen High that it would be Edinburgh. So it is.

Name: State of Japan
Leader: Prime Minister Misaki Tsubani (GWP)
Flag:
Image
Composed of:
The 6, 852 official islands that make up the State of Japan (Yes, that is what it is officially listed as).
Language(s):
No Official Language
Languages spoken:
•Japanese
•Korean (to a small extent).
Description:
The quirky, mystical land of Anime and Nintendo.
Characters from here:
•Hiraku
Changes since magic was revealed:

Upon the discovery of magic, Japan quickly embraced the new channels of power. With a new knowledge of inhabitants from Hell, the nation quickly established an immigration policy to woo these new beings to settle down within their children-strapped country. The governments' original goal in this policy was to increase the pool of procreational partners, thereby increasing birth rates. Within 2 years, the population was able to record roughly a 65% increase in births.

During this period, a time of political turbulence was engulfing the nation. Amid growing discontent among Liberal Democratic Party members (the dominant Conservative party in the Japanese diet), a grassroots movement began siphoning disillusioned members of the LDP. The Green Wind (みどりの風) Party became a lure to voters and political activists hoping to dissipate the mire of economic downturn that had coated the nation since the close of the Abrahamic wars. Their message of energy independence and industry promotion.

Not three years after the GWP began it's climb to the top, the LDP was severely weakened to the point of collapse. Only a merger with the Japanese Restoration party saved then from an entire dissolution. Despite this, the grip of power eventually weakened, and for the first time in history, the GWP had established their first prime minister. Since then, they have yet to relinquish control to a rival party.

The current prime minister is Misaki Tsubani, notable for being the first female prime minister in Japan's history of Parliament. As she came into office, Japan had hit a period of immense prosperity, their industrial sectors booming. Unfortunately, due to population constraints, an expansion to Hell was still out of reach. The hope was that it could be achieved within the decade.

Part of the uptick in activity was due to a refocus on the Defense Ministry. Originally contacting Taka-Jameson, a request for specialists was shot down by the firm. Taking matters into their own hands, the classified EVANGELION program was born. Named after the critically acclaimed series, the project is centered upon the construction of mechs, like this one here. Briefly flirting with the idea of building an underground construction area beneath Tokyo, the idea was quickly scrapped due to population endangering.

Instead, the massive complex that was to house the construction was built in an abandoned section of farmland on the outskirts of the Fukushima disaster zone, with the intention that once the project moved into the testing phases, the affected area would serve as a prime ground for initial experimentation. In preparing for this, engineers were mandated that a key task in construction was to prevent against nuclear contamination of machinery. This was to protect the pilots, as magical decontamination of nuclear affected areas is still out of reach.

Interestingly enough, the Sake industry has enjoyed a sizable increase in demand, sponsoring drinking clubs across the globe. Due to this, the Japanese image of strict, hard workers has been replaced by kimono-garbed partiers living life to the fullest. Of course, the idea originated from a kimono-garbed westerner at a sake party.

As usual.

You had to know it was coming:

Name: Tokyo
Leader: City Governor Saburo Arata
What is it? City? Province? State?:
City, often referred to as 'Metropolitan Prefecture'.
Seal: Emblem of Tokyo.
Language(s) spoken:
•Japanese (Majority)
•Korean
•English
•Numerous others
Population: 26, 345, 473 (Last Census Count)
Description:

Despite being a dominant global city, interacting with virtually every other major population center in the world in some form or another, Tokyo is largely a mix of Japanese and Demonic permanent residents. Even with numerous visitors of all nationalities and races passing through, whether it be vacation or work-related stays, the city displays very clearly that it adheres by Japanese—and some Demonic—values.

In just twenty years, the immigration policy the government set up to draw demonic residents has doubled the size of the already goliath metropolis. This increase has not just been attributed to the new residents, but the 'good relations' between the two races. In many cases, the latter had even more of an impact than the former.

Unfortunately, as the population doubled, so did the cramped conditions within the city. In an effort to combat the limited spaces the city holds, engineers turned to looking up, not out. As a result, Tokyo hosts some of the tallest skyscrapers in the entire world, many simply for residential use only.

The entire metropolitan prefecture size has largely remained the same in regard to square miles. It's grip as one of the 'command centres' of the world still holds strong. A successful 2020 Olympics caused even greater growth, as the world flocked to the city to watch.

Originally having 23 'wards' dividing the metropolis, population growth cause a subdivision within the city, culminating in 7 more wards having to be formed, for a total of 30. These wards still operate normally, having a mayor and council operating day to day management.

Demographics:

63.9% Japanese
35.6% Demon
0.5% Other

Japan is not going to open doors to immigrants.

The Japanese would rather die as a nation than open doors to demon immigrants.
