Though I almost invented Hinduism first. Which, in hindsight would have been cool, but I tend to try having as few religions in my empire as possible since I go for theocracies to make my military stronger. Unless I capture the holy city of another religion, like I did with Jerusalem and most recently Mecca in my Holy Roman Empire game where I was fighting Arabs and Chinamen and Malinese blokes. I noticed the Malinese had colonies in Southeast Asia, so they weren't entirely blockheads in that game.
