1960s Real World/Cold War RP (OOC, Open)

Hello again, everybody!

I must say, this is turning out quite nicely. I'll admit: this is my first time RPing, so I'm astonished at how fun this is.

Now before I go into some recap/suggestion-y stuff, I think I should point out two people who are doing so much for this RP: Kannap, who brilliantly and realistically portrayed the entirety of his Hungarian campaign (not to mention starting a riot in Stalingrad!), and Columbion, who totally baffled us all and took the idea of Historical RP to a whole new level when he switched China back and forth between sides. You two have added so much to this RP, and for that I thank you.

I think we should take the time to thank those in this RP who have done a great job. If anyone else exceptional stands out for you, let it be known!

Anyway, on to more serious stuff: three important spots have become opened for this RP. There is no longer anyone playing the United Kingdom, West Germany, or North Korea. If anyone is interested in playing in this RP, those are key spots we need filled.

Also I should mention that I love the hissy fits between Yugoslavia and Romania. It's not realistic by any means, but it makes my day!

Also, City of Fairview, turn down the language. I get it when there are Slavic soldiers with big egos, but when Tito drops the f-bomb, I gotta wonder if you're keeping it real. Also I think you tend to assume other countries are doing/thinking certain things and then you act on those perceptions: remember to let other countries play themselves. Also please try to avoid meta-gaming (you haven't done it yet, but you've come close once or twice).

That's all I got. I think I'm gonna spice things up myself, as there hasn't been enough fighting in Western Europe OOPS DID I SAY THAT OUT LOUD XD.

USSR will not aid troops to the invasion, but will surely not defend South Korea against China and N. Korea. Though Soviet forces wouldn't be needed, as China and N. Korea have it under control it appears. Shouldn't have sent troops into a Communist nation

Well, I should have the undisputed support of the United States because of the Mutual Defense Treaty Between the United States and the Republic of Korea, so I sent troops to Laos expecting the United States to back me up on this.

To Columbion: You yourself said that the rule was you had to wait to deploy troops in order to help realism...

And am I the only one keeping track of the dates? I think that doing so helps keep the game realistic; after a lot of god-mod posts, I just move the date forward by a week or so in order to make things look more real...but it could be easier if I wasn't the only one doing so...
