News of this new land reached the Administration, and it got them very excited. It was also revealed that this was not Asia- it was a completely different continent that the Europeans had not discovered. With the permission of Overlord Trident, the Administration began making offers to the Bakarus citizens and companies alike- they could begin their own colonies in the new world, so as long as they remained loyal to the Empire. The leaders of these colonies would be called Colonial Administrators, and they would also be in charge of leading groups to map and explore the landscape before a colony was set up. If they were to encounter violence with any native peoples, they were to use necessary force to crush the natives. The Bakarus government would also get 50% of any riches they discovered in the New World.
Within a few years of the discovery of New York, several Colonial Administrators and their parties would set out from Bakarus into the unknown. They sailed up and down the eastern coastline of the Americas, mapping the coastline as precisely as they could. Meanwhile, 3 parties that had decided to tag together entered the Gulf of Mexico.
As the ships began to arrive, the patrol watching the Gulf stopped them. The captain of one of these ships, the admiral being in the center of the group to prevent being killed instantly, observed the personnel on board as they advanced. Making sure the party did not escape, they sent forth one of their fastest ships to learn these peoples intentions. When the ship got close enough to communicate, they saw it was a much lighter skinned people. One of the patrolmen called out in the Raktolian tongue. (yeah....you won't understand it, but you should get the basic idea of "come here")
A Bakarus military officer would see the ships coming close to the parties.
"It's a patrol!" he shouted to the crew. "I think they want to speak with us."
They would get closer to the foreign ship so that they could board it.
"Maybe this is Asia after all," another officer remarked.
