I hear they have good internet over in Scandinavia.

Revolutionary War:The Revolutionary War against Ardovicia began in 1775, on the eve of the annual collection of taxes by the Ardovician Fleet. For generations this act had prevented development and enraged the citizens of the colony. On this fateful day, however, the citizens had had enough. A harbour had been built in the city, so that the colonists could finally build ships to send freight around the World, and the Ardovicians had set fire to it. Just a few streets away, five men sat in a tavern, drinking and thinking up visions of an independent nation, using radical ideas of republicanism and basic human rights to justify their thoughts. A general, a captain, a statesman, a professor, and an old bartender would determine the course of the nation that night. The general was one Robert Corlish, an Ardovician General in command of a mere six thousand Ardovician soldiers, which in comparison to the twenty thousand in the colony he did not control was not a mighty sum, but with his tactical genius and strong central force, he could persuade and invade his way through the majority of the Ardovician leaders in the colony. The captain was one Jack Rudolphe, a commanding and stern fellow. He had led expeditions across the World for the Empire, and it was just poor luck he'd been born a colonist. His swagger was known around the colonies, and his leadership and wisdom would be unparalleled, he had been convinced to join the movement only moments previous and by the rare chance he stumbled into a tavern that night. While Captain Rudolphe was not as devoted to the cause, there was someone who made up for it. Wesley G. Mashington was the vice-governor of the colony to an aging, apathetic governor, who had quit working for a better colony long ago and prevented Marcus from carrying on the job. He had administrative experience, and he was essential to cause. The reason he had been convinced to join was based on the teachings of Professor William Jacobson, who had been promoting the cause of independence for years. The final player in the scheme was the bartender of the fair tavern, his name lost to history, all we know is that when the events happened later that night, he was the one who put his life on the line.
The events of that night would be recorded in history, and while fast in nature, they would lay the foundation for a nation. With the harbour on fire, the General led a few of his most loyal men to ransack the armouries, giving weapons to the civilians to lead a riot against the West End of the city, which was heavily defended. Meanwhile, the captain led whatever men he could to sieze control of Ardovician ships and turn them on their masters, elimating or capturing all of the Ardovician Fleet. Meanwhile, the battle inside the city raged, as forces of the General battles forces of the citadel. Many of the top government officials, fleeing the scene, went to the tavern for sanctuary. It was here the bartender makes history. When the drinks were served to these governors and leaders of the Ardovician leadership, something deadly was added. The soldiers with them saw the scene, but it was too late, colonial leadership had been halved in a since instance. The bartender was shot on spot, and the tale was only told be Mashington himself, who, despite having no trained experience, led the citizens militia in the fighting. By morning, the Ardovicians Loyalists in the Citadel were finished, and they surrendered. Meanwhile, the majority of the Ardovician soldiers who had returned from the South conquering the Incas were met with information, and luckily the General was able to convince them to stand down, and the military victory was complete.
Over the next months, educated men from around the colony came to Nautica to discuss the ramifications of the new nation. Over this time they adapted a Declaration of Determination, a Bill of Rights for the citizens, a Constitution, and even a new name. These documents give birth to a new form of government using variations upon the Ardovicians, Oysterlonians, Raegendar, and the Latin Empires of old, which would form the United States of Equalibria. They also granted one third of the nations budget to permanently set to fund a system of education that would be free for all citizens of the nation, and gave rights to citizens who had never enjoyed anything of the kind. The Declaration of Determination was sent to Ardovicia, which in return sent a fleet to retake the colony. After a fierce naval struggle with the small squadron of captured vessels, Ardovicia landed forces on the colony, but the overwhelming amount of now-Equalibrian soldiers pushed the Ardovician soldiers back, and on the beach, with no way out, they surrendered. Relations between the United States and Ardovicia are still hostile, and it is unknown of what plans the Empire has to retake the colony.

I have a better idea then what I said earlier.
Perhaps the independence war with Ardovicia could last longer, because I doubt they would give up that quickly. Perhaps Bakarus could intervene in the conflict, playing the role that the French played in the American Revolutionary War.
