Who Plays the Geth Heretics?

Postby Prumia » Thu Aug 29, 2013 9:30 pm

I finally managed to get my first post up. It was much longer - and took longer as a result - then I had expected, but I am satisfied with it. I refrained from out-right controlling Miranda Lawson, but I wanted to set the stage for the Lazarus Project. I am not certain if anyone here has read the expanded universe with the comics - I have not - so I do not know if we will be using any of that. If we are, I can always find them and read them to catch up.

I focused a great deal on symbolism for my first post because I was trying to set the tone of what Cerberus actually is beyond the common "human's first" rhetoric. I am not certain how well I did on that, but eh! Either way, I used the Illusive Man as a jumping character for Lavisor Sovul. The Illusive Man is such a central part of Cerberus that he cannot simply disappear, but it would kill the character the have him make an appearance every post so expect on sparingly and only for the "go do this" and/or "this happened" sort of mood setting posts.

Here is a question of my own, however. Who will be controlling the Geth Heretics? The Geth have already been claimed, I know, but the Heretics are not part of that faction of Geth. The canon-Alliance started hunting them across the galaxy right about now, but since we have yet to get an Alliance player I am not certain how we will be handling them. Thoughts, anyone?
The Coalition of Sovereign Nations is a group joined together to work towards a common goal: the preservation of every nation's Rights of Self-Governing against those who take it from them. Whether you would like to take an active part in this endeavor or whether you simply want to get away from all those regions and organizations intent on changing your nation, this Coalition is for you!
Signed, sincerely,
The Coalition of Sovereign Nations

Thats was very... extensive but I liked it.

Also the heretics will be controlled by me if need be or someone can RP them if they want to.

Ah, yes. I thought so as well. I started out simple, but then it sort of got away from me. I tend to do that when I only have myself to play a scene off of - I monologue a lot, and not even in verbalized thoughts.

You controlling the Heretics in fine by me, though. I assumed it would be the person who chose the Geth, anyway. I have a rough plot with what I want to do with Sovul's mission, but it could work with either the Geth Consensus or the Heretics. We can see how this plays out.

Well of course if more people sign up more spots can be filled and things will most likely go more smoothly. But I am interested in what Sovul's mission is about or how it will play out.

Faction: Hastatim
Leader (You decide):Commander.Nyree Victus
Citadel Council member Y/N or N/A:NO
Spectre: na
Brief description of diplomatic relations- Very strong with members of turian high government. Nyrees father and the turian councilor are regular drinking partners
military state of readiness-Always high alert, we have the best training in the galaxy.
history & location if custom organization:STAGING OPERATIONS FROM THE CARRIER "Reminaus"

Military (ships, infantry, etc.):
Army-
The mainstay of the turian infantry is the Phaeston assault rifle, a light, accurate, and versatile weapon that nonetheless packs more punch than other rifles of its size. Other turian weapons include the Krysae anti-materiel sniper rifle, and the ML-77 Missile Launcher, manufactured by Armax Arsenal, one of the turian military's main suppliers.

Turians adhere to a strict moral code: "The needs of the group outweigh that of the individual." Discipline is the foundation of turian society. A turian line never collapses; its troops fall back in order, setting ambushes as they go. You will only see a turian's back when they're dead.
Infantry Division-1
Infantry/marine Brigade-5
Air to Ground strike team-5

Navy-Consists of 1 carrier fully outfitted for almost all operations by hastatim soldiers- it is also the HQ of the faction.
Carrier 1

2 dozen fighter squadrons and 3 dozen interceptor squadrons

Faction:275th Voux Dragic Regiment
Leader (You decide):General Myles Bennet Dyson
Citadel Council member Y/N or N/A:N
Spectre: N
Brief description of diplomatic relations, military state of readiness, history & location if custom organization: During ME1, the Council sent military regiments to the Terminus Systems in order to try and fight the Geth or any rebellions so that the will of the Council was met. The 275th Voux Dragic Regiment was one such as it was sent to the planet of Voux Dragic, which was plagued by pirates instead of anything else. The Regiment was far away from the Council and instead of fighting them, they decided to absorb the pirates and take over the planet. It was fairly easy and they turned the planet from a outward Council colony, into a thriving smuggler and pirate haven as the planet has a population of 85,000 and is ruled under the Regiment that has become very corrupt and also very wealthy as they have turned to massive smuggling, pirating, raiding, and illegal modifications of bionics and omnitools that allowed them to have a navy of their own uses.
Military (ships, infantry, etc.):
3 Frigates
1 transport
4 corvettes
3 landing crafts
2 light cruisers
2 fast attack squadrons
2 militia divisions
2 gunships
1 armored division
3 heavy infantry units
2 spec-ops teams
1 militia brigade

Week One

Taetrian Capital Vallum Attacked by Aircar Bomb
“The Taetrian capital of Vallum came under attack again today as a turian male crashed an aircar bomb into the kinetic barriers outside the Sevnis, a building serving as emergency government headquarters. Packed with explosives, the aircar struck the barriers and exploded, killing the driver. That driver was Alsadrus Tertius, a former sanitation worker with ties to the radical separatist group Facinus. Sevnis guard Titrinus Machaera counts himself lucky. "He [Tertius] clearly didn't know about the barriers. If he had, he'd have aimed for the gates and maybe gotten some of us guards or the crowds outside". War Minister Uvalum Septimax did not downplay the incident. "We face a determined enemy", he said, "and we cannot afford to relax our vigilance".”

Current Date
"Get those weapons secured!" shouted Cpl.gorh,
We drop in 1700 hours! shouted another voice from somewhere inside the cabin of the cramped dropship.
the commander stood and shouted an almost icy "None But Us!"
in unison we all replied back... those cold dead words +None But Us!"
what do those mean. are they just some ignorant fraze before we get shot out of the sky.
I might never know that. the light flashes a single yellow strobe every 3 seconds.
The Soldier stands next to me to and begins to shout everyone out in 10!
i recede back my chair...9...8...7... I grip my rifle till my fallons nearly penetrate my gloves
6...5...4... i hold my breath....3...2..."here we go." I say. the bell rings and the dropship bay doors swings open.
two by two we jumped out into hellish civilian madness that was plaguing this area.

I know. People are possibly scared of the large responsibility with playing a faction as large as for example the Turian Hierarchy or System Alliance.
