Swith's better at this than I am.
The building's outside looks like whatever your character would find appealing. Victorian manor, row house, chalet etc. The lobby and communal areas will also look like whatever's inviting.
There are a few lobby fixtures that never change. The reception desk and the box on the wall behind it (for payments, leases). There is an old-fashioned phone booth in a corner. Seating areas are all around. There's a wooden bench (AKA Thriller's Thinking Bench). When a character first walks into the building, he'll see a collection of mailboxes on wall to the right (like what you see in old apartment buildings in NYC or else post office boxes.)
There are several marked doors in the lobby.
One is the bomb shelter (a private residence).
One is labeled "Chaos Quarters" (a private residence).
One is labeled "Clinic" (a clinic for residents. Someone is always wounded or dead).
One marked "Utility" (few people use that one as it leads to weird rooms with pipes and the back door.)
Oh right.......I think this was all written in the OP if I'm not mistaken
Sorry......I just forgot it was placed there for a good reason
