Alright, sorry, Swith. I don't have the capacity tonight to write up an equally long response, but yeah. I just don't see why people are getting mad at Urran. I gave the reasons to Bones, if you want, I'll TG you as well.

I'd like to roll with these things, but not really anything happens to my characters like that.

Alright, sorry. How can one expect me to know that he's dealing with TG's? I didn't know, so you can't get mad at me. I do feel bad though, but what I said, I'm not at fault.

Okay. Reviewed thread.

Timeline:
Bran and Bix were walking back to the city.
Meanwhile, Ogoti and Chrys and Jacob were wrapping up at the crater.
Meanwhile, Klaus and Gio were talking about chalk animals.
Meanwhile, and much more slowly, the battle with the plant is going on.
Meanwhile, Yoshi left Swith and went upstairs with Tasia and she fed him alcohol and he drank it and then he died and she hid the body (I guess) and then Yoshi left the building and now he's crying in the woods and hoping someone hears him.
Meanwhile, Katya went to the apartment and found the snake and then the snake and she bonded.
Meanwhile Ti and Kei met up and had a long conversation and decided to get their relationship back on track so they returned to the apartment and have been having a long conversation with Katya.
Meanwhile, Ray took a shower and went to bed but now he's up again.
Meanwhile, Volturius has just arrived on scene.
Meanwhile, Torii and Tsu are still at the firing range and frozen.

The problem is (in alphabetical order) Bran, Torsi and Urran are advancing the thread. The bomb blast momentarily placed us all at the same time period. Look how much it's advanced since then. Some characters are still just arriving and others have already spent several hours renewing relationships.

We need to figure out what timeline we're going to use. I suggest going by the OP's timeline if you're involved. Since all the characters heard the blast and reacted to it, you're involved in that story. What you're doing is horking off the GM by promoting your own stories at your own sped up pace. A lot of effort and planning goes into running a story. I know there were several elements that weren't played because the time was advanced before they could be implemented.

This isn't fair, gentlemen. Your stories have a habit of driving the thread. It's not fair to Klaus, Gio, Jacob, Albert, Chrys, Dora, Naomi, Ray, Swith, Ogoti, NVE's characters, Monique, Minerva, Harry, Tsu, Torii, Lance, Volturius, Tipper, or any of the others populating this universe.

I don't want to hear "Sorry". Sorry is good when a person realizes he's slipped up and vows to never do it again. This time advancement thing is a common occurrence, though.

We can't "punish" the whole group. That's not fair. What I suggest is we cool it with the romance stories for a while. They suck up a lot of time in IC and then we have to back track just to involve those characters. People come in and ask "what's happened while I was gone" and no one can honestly answer because so much has happened that the normal-post-rate players are left in the dust.

So, I'd like you three to help me come up with ways we can prevent these time advancements. What are some things you guys can do to keep the pace flowing better? If you were OP and Swith and Thriller were blasting time away by doing a lot of activities as a couple while you're still working on a ballroom scene, how would you feel and how would you respond and what would you suggest to GT and I as far as how we can better pace ourselves?

I, honestly don't know what I can do to stop these things. It give me something to do, and I always know someone would be free to discuss romance and assorted shite. Whenever I post that a character is someplace, no one ever takes notice unless it's about a relationship, then I get dragged into it somple because it's something to do.

And the old "Well go to a different RP" excuse doesn't work either. The only other one I'm in (New Ziyang's dead right?) moves a helluva' lot slower than PL.

I would appreciate if people took notice of my characters a bit more, it'd probably help a bit. Like if I post Bran doing something, send someone down, before I realize it's hopeless and revert back to pointless relationship stuff.

In all seriousness, I feel I should point out there's alternatives to posting every thirty seconds if you're bored. Read a book, play a game, go outside. I'm certain there are plenty of adorable kitten videos on Youtube that need watching.

Here's a thought: how about you communicate that your going to do something via OOC or TG (for targeting specific people)? Working stuff out beforehand can help make something better and noticed.

I've been playing Rome 2 or EU4 this week when I'm bored, or watching Youtube. Or working on homework. All take up plenty of time between posts for you to wait. I check the IC and OOC every once and a while as I do other things to make sure I don't miss anything!

but I feel there would be beter people for your character to talk to and I have enough to do as it is!



Also, everyone else: I've been planing my moves for the plant SCP ahead of time unless I'm hit by enough inspiration to post right away. It helps me think of things for it to do, and I think I haven't posted less than five paragraphs for that in quite a while. I've started doing the same thing for the other things going on, writing down what my characters need to do and what they want to do(ambitions and things to do) I might suggest for people to do similar things? IT might help you plan out what you want your characters to do and remember what you need to do when you return to the thread after being gone for a while. When was the last time I asked for what's going on after all?

I just feel like there;s not much my characters can ever do. They're either not in the right place, or dragged away by something, right around the time when an event happens, leaving them with no knowledge of it, and unable to take part.

In events where they do have knowledge, or are affected, and they try to offer to help, or join in, they're usually told that there;s nothing they can do, or are intimidated into staying back. Being normal humans, they would just easily be caught up in whatever supernatural stuff is happening from whatever 100+ genres in the RP. Even among other humans, they usually just support nowadays.
