Elendil's mother, gifted with the power to manipulate the forces of nature, is an American who spends her time tending to the grounds of the Helyanwe Estate and works with the American Agricultural Department on special projects such as irrigation in Africa. Walking home one day she wasn't paying attention to her surroundings when she crossed the street and walked in front of an oncoming werewolf. In the split second that she looked up at it, time seemed to freeze around her. She saw it freeze, the birds in the trees had stopped their incessant chirping, and the wolf's claw had stopped short of her jugular. Elendil stepped out of the cars way a few feet and then felt herself collapse and the sound came rushing in around her. The claw hissed through the air, striking her on the shoulder, and the sound of the birds taking flight roared. Elendil felt immensely drained as if she had run two marathons. She lay unmoving on the road, til her brother healed her, draining himself. When she stumbled home with the help of her twin, she revealed what had occurred to her father. He then sat Elendil down and told her all about magic and how he and her mother both had powers. For three more years, Elendil slowly came to understand her powers. She was able to grasp the basics of her nature ability well enough. She learned how to make plants grow, like flowers and apples from the orchard. Her mother taught her how to craft a sword from the blades of grass or the leaves of a tree. However after the third time lapse occurred when a marauder fired a gun at her, her parents decided to send her off to the Academy so she could learn to better control her powers and hopefully combat the evils that had plaqued their world.

I know time is very touchy and often seen as a no-no for power rps, but I was hoping to be able to experiment with the concept. Essentially, she cannot control it. The time manipulation will only occur when she is about to die or be critically wounded. (stick with me, I can already see you shaking your heads. ) However, the time lapse will only last as long as she has the energy for it. She cannot spend longer than a minute in frozen time or she will die. If she spends even five seconds (in her current state), then she will have a throbbing headache and be out of breath for a few minutes. If she is in the time lapse for a longer period, she will be drained even more when time resumes. She cannot open portals to other time periods, but if she is touching someone when the time manipulation occurs then they will be unaffected by it.

For example, lets say that Elendil is shot at with a pistol when in the middle of a street. Just before the bullets touch her, time wil stop. Elendil would immediately get out of harms way (five to ten seconds in time lapse to move) and time would resume. Elendil will be drained of energy, sluggish in movement, and dizzy.If the assailant was to shoot at her again, and because she's so drained the time lapse would not occur again, then she'll probably get hit with two or three of the bullets because she'd be so tired. To everyone else, nothing will have happened but Elendil moving a few feet, except of course if anyone(friendly or hostile doesn't matter) was touching her.
If this causes too many issues, then I'll be happy to remove it.
