After all, RL Russia's population only bloomed after Peter the Great (disclaimer: I don't actually know anything about Russian history), and the Rus in this RP seemed like your usual motley collection languishing under the Mongols until relatively recently, with maybe 2 centuries of moderate industrialisation. With intermittent wars and all, I'm not sure if they'd be able to expand eastward.

From my threadbare knowledge of the region after skimming the Wiki articles, I wouldn't be surprised if a Mongol successor state popped up there.
Incidentally, I notice a strange lack of Mongol land.

I actually said earlier why they couldn't be south and north Russia but no one listened.

We know that either of them will pick the good bit, that is the European bit, so one of them will probably have to change his backstory, maybe to Mongols or something.

I'll admit that Krintz should get something, but to be honest, Soviet Ruk-Tsan did make his reservation and app here first and was accepted first. We should go for a 2 state solution, yes, but if either party says no, then they don't get any bits of Russia. _{and to be honest, Krintz will probably not like this and will flame this RP to it's death.}

I do not know myself but he has been active [understandably] angry on the thread. The only reason he did not reserve it on here was because he was under the impression he was already reserved. Especially after seeing how other nations were told their claims are reserved because they did so on the other thread.

Hmm... well, they should both get something, and the only way to divide it realistically (At least that I can see) is Byzantine/Rus west and Mongol/Rus east, and both are claiming the other, a possible interesting scenario is east and west Russia both claiming and hating each other, maybe we could go with that and all get dragged into a war, this is around (Alternate) WWI era isn't it?
