Howdy y'all, it's your friendly neighborhood CSS here bringing you yet another stupid idea of mine. What's it this time you ask? Mass Effect?

"But CSS, isn't there already a Mass Effect RP up?"

Yes, but the OP was rather slow and is gone now, so I decided to take up the reins.

"That's great and all, but what's the plan then?"

Well I think it's a good idea to stick with the Destroy ending and have a time skip of 25-30 years, to keep things fresh.

So, if you know enough about Mass Effect, do you happen to have any plot ideas? I am thinking of possibly keeping everybody on one or two ships. Or involving some kind of Yahg rebellion. Ideas are appreciated.

I was thinking maybe a 2nd Krogan Rebellion or a 2nd Rachni War, but I'm not sure how either of those would start, since both species are more or less friendly now. If we want to stick with the Yahg, I was thinking they could reverse engineer the ship used by the Council Delegation that they killed, and start attempting to conquer nearby systems, but they'd still be far less technologically advanced than the other major races.

Given the results of the destroy ending, I highly doubt that any race would have the time or resources to do so, and even if they did the Salarians are the only race that have proven to be even slightly interested in uplifting the Yahg, and I don't think they're interested in a repeat of the Krogan Rebellions right after getting destroyed by the reapers. A Yahg uprising would be possible, but the time-skip would have to be much much larger, a couple hundred years in my opinion.

Krogan are on good terms thanks to Wrex, and the Rachni are easy to kill. Yahg are stronger than Krogan and have the potential to be as smart as Salarians. Way, way more dangerous.

We could always go for a smaller scale plot, like Mass Effect 2 or something.

Like a group of specters and other organizations not happy with how the council handled the Shepard's warnings about the reapers and the lost of life caused by not listening to Shepard's warning split from the council races and other races to fight the council and set up a government of their own
