It was abrazil that managed to retain control of uruguay.

I may consider, if Uni approves to take Suriname, and/or if you approve for Guyana to invade Brazilian Guiana, assuming you approve, after enough immigrants from other countries settle Guyana.

Imigration in south america would still probably go mostly to the colorful nation of brazil or the other bigger and tougher south American nations like gran colombia and Argentina. I still don't see though how you could successfully invade and take territory from brazil.

Population: hilariously just 6 million at the time.
Brief History since part 1(this only applies to alumni): When brazil gained independence in 1822 from Portugal a new regional power in south America was born. It was not without problems though. It was the only lusophone country on the continent and had many rivals including gran Colombia and Argentina and some territory was more rebellious. This was evident in the Cisplatine war which after severe problems for both Argentina and brazil ended in a draw but was more advantages for brazil after a victory in the battle of intuzaingo. This resulted in uruguay remaining in brazil and put brazil in a more advantages situation in south America. In 1830 Brazil successfully bought the acre region from Bolivia.

Problem is French guyana's tiny population compared to most of south America.

Sadly. Hence immigration will be encouraged, with benefits, and a free hectare of land, and later on, assimilation of the native tribes to becoming "Guyanese".
