How do you think I am like? I don't write girls because I don't know how girls think all the way (Statt can attest to this

I guess we don't really think out of the box often when we do characters. If I were to do Oanu as a female, he'd basically be the same character but with more prominent hips and thinner waist. No difference, because I think of characters based on their surroundings and not on their gender. That, and so I can have Oanu hit on Ziya and get punched in return a comical amount of times.
Gender differences existed between the Matoran, but were mostly redundant, as they could not reproduce. In fact, for this reason Greg Farshtey has controversially stated that romance in the human sense did not exist among the Matoran. However, it was possible for two Matoran to develop a unique bond of emotional affection for each other that was greater than the typical feeling of comradeship between fellow Matoran. These special bonds served no purpose in reproduction, even though they were almost always between Matoran of the opposite gender.

I actually read that Matoran never really "get married"

But we're Toa! We have "upgrades"![]()
I never meant it as in sexual reproduction. Just as a way to bug another character, and to provide the reader entertainment.
