So I didn't have to share my power in that thread? And even if it is an oversight, it is still in breach of the rules stated in the OP. Therefor, Dan's fortress should remain unscathed, and he should be allowed to continue his invasion?
What part of the rules in what OP?
In the Archives, the operative "it" in the sentence you bolded is referring to the aforementioned things that must be posted in the Archives.
Frankly, if we're going to have to rules-lawyer this, I can rules-lawyer this. Pruss should have come up with a better IC reason to deploy his power on Khazad-Dum, assuredly. As it is though, we already allow a certain amount of meta-knowledge; trades are sent with terms agreed upon OOCly, alliances are dissolved because of OOC knowledge that can't possible travel at the speed ICly of the dissolution, and IC characters have dispositions not consistent with pure IC knowledge. I shall be more strict on metagaming from here on out, and this matter is closed.
So, Dan is effectively screwed by a power, he had no meta-knowledge of, while he himself has been marshaled by his attacker?
And I do not agree with any OOC going into the IC. The terms of trade could very easily be determined ICly, but for the sake of time going haywire, it is determined in the OOC. And I do not agree with alliances forming/breaking due to IC reasons. In a perfect RP, we would send emmissaries to treat an alliance, at the risk of them being denied, or even killed by other factions.
Of course perfection is an impossibility, therefore I believe the best course would be to nullify both Pruss' and Dan's actions up until the point that the rules were broken.
Also, the fact that Pruss is developing, is not an excuse to break the rules. Should he be punished? No, but his metagaming should be removed.
