You do not know you succumbed to the Black Rage: you just fall down before the eve of battle, when the Chaplains are doing their prayers and all. Ofcourse, you could have just had your trouble with the Red Thirst, and may have problems with controlling it, wich may lead to you being worried and seeking help.

Yep, the Red Thirst is when you can no longer control your temper, and want to go berzerk.

The Black Rage is a bit worse (well, a bit..). It just turns you mad, and makes you want to KILL EVERY SINGLE ENEMY OF MANKIND.
